Can I just build the workplaces myself?
Is it possible to just build custom workshops for my colonists rather than use a builder?

Today I tried StreamING Halo Campaign Evolved. I wanted to do something special for the stream so I wore my Halo Reach Spartan cosplay. Hoping it would help me stand out.
No one came, not on my twitch or on youtube.
All the advice I hear, play popular games, be unique stand out, use tags, make sure your title is engaging make sure you are in the right category. Doesn't seem to be working for me.
Not even my usual viewer showed up.
What am I doing wrong?
I finally got the different workstations in my survival game working. The player can work metal at the black smith, make glass at the glass blower, and brew some basic potions at the alchemy station.
I kind of want each workstation to look unique with its own layout, but not sure if player might get annoyed that they are all different, but feature the same mechanics.
In most of my collabs I've done the other streamers they have been rather strict on them being the only ones streaming during the collab.
Wouldn't it be better to have two or more streams going to reach more people?
When I host a collab I tell them they can stream to, but they won't, so they aren't being hypocritical about it.
Is this just a unspoken rule?
I could understand if both streamers were large and both streamers responding to chat at the same time could get cluttered very quickly. But we're all small streamers with maybe 1-6 average viewers.
Usually when I make a post about looking for advice for visibility, i see accounts offering a rating for a rating.
Should I do this?
Some of the DMs I get making these offer seem a little fishy, and the wording is almost always the exact same.
I did a multi stream to both twitch and YouTube yesterday.
Everytime one of the YouTube viewers commented a few times I'd see a bump in concurrent viewers
But in twitch when I have the same thing happening no new people show up.
Recently I had to use a old save file of my project because my current project got corrupted. When I tried to build it it succeed but the debug messages, and line traces were all visible.
I set it to shipping in both the packaging menu and in the project settings as well as selecting Full rebuild.
What else can I try?
(Edit: SOLVED: If it's a blueprint only project. Add a empty C++ Class. Then Rebuild the project by right clicking the project file, and clicking "Regenerate Visual Studio project files")
My game has about 38 downloads, but zero feedback from any of the players. I've gotten feedback from beta testers I've directly asked for feedback, but natural players aren't leaving anything.
What can I do to encourage them to leave a comment good or bad, I want to know if they running into a problem or simple not impressed with the project yet.
What indie game dev sites should I put my game on? Itch is the only one I know of that quite a few people mention. But are there others I should try being present on?
My project of 2.5 years is corrupted. I can't open the project without unreal crashing. The last save I had was exactly a month ago.
I could use it but I just don't want to. I'm so sick and tired of unreal corrupting my blueprints. Spitting out random error messages from blueprints I haven't touched in over a year.
Any problem i run into I never feel like I'm fighting my own code, I always feel like I'm trying to fix some bug built in to Unreal itself.
I can't turn off ray tracing without breaking all lighting. I cant make new struts without unreal refusing to recognize them. I can't add new worlds without unreal engine refusing to locate them on build even when pointed directly to their location.
Every step of progress felt like pushing against a wall.
I entered the games demo into the PVE and october next fests. The last build I made was a buggy mess I was fixing and I had just fixed a major one that had been a problem for months. Then everything got corrupted.
Just last week I came across someone playing the demo of my game randomly. The whole video the guy kept running into bugs but kept laughing at them and said he couldn't wait to see more of the game. That was the first time I heard someone say they actually liked what I made despite the flaws.
And the very next fucking day all that progress I made was gone.
I'm just so tired at this point, I don't feel like i'm making art I feel like i'm fighting just to fucking stand up.
Do I just give up at this point? Is unreal this buggy for anyone else?
For most of my videos I don't bother with thumbnails. But recently I've been trying them out with my Skyrim playthrough where I can't use any magic. This thumbnail here is for the video where I do Meridias Beacon quest.
It seems I get about 8-12 more views if I do make a thumbnail. But not much conversion to subscribers/commenters.
I'm mostly a Twitch streamer but have been trying to get my Youtube going.
A relatively new viewer asked me what I want in a drawing and I just said Jeff goldblum jokingly.
Woke up this morning to this on my discord.
I'm a variety streamer, I play a large collection of games ranging from old to new. I do art streams, game dev streams, cosplay streams, model making streams. 3D modeling streams. I do a lot of different stuff.
I see a lot of other streamers usually stick to playing one main game for their channel and only occasionally playing others.
I've heard that the problem with doing variety content is that if you attract lets say a Skyrim viewer in a skyrim stream, but the very next day you're playing minecraft hardcore, then they won't stick around because they thought you were a skyrim player.
Did I need to dial my variety down? Or is there a way I can clearly signal to viewers "Hey I do a lot of random stuff sometimes."

Usually I use 3D models for basic shapes and perspectives but today wanted to try free drawing. Pretty happy with the results.
Usually I use 3d models or reference images for the backgrounds when I'm drawing. But today I kinda just wanted to try drawing free hand. Takes longer but pretty happy with the results.
Codex entry.:
Roclycian Beleiring Tank also known as the Besiege Tank. Is the apidamy of "If one is good, two would be better". Spouting two Stodden tank anti armor cannons. It requires a crew of 5 to operate efficiently.
With the addition of a second tank head the Beleiring is hoisted up by an additional two Zakamite hover Sleds on its sides. Allowing it to still deploy it's legs into a standing and sturdy position Similar to a Stoddens tank.
While intimidating on the battlefield the Beleiring is rarely used as many Roclycian have found it to be a unfair advantage in most engagements, often reducing enemy fortifications to ruble even before the infantry got a chance to charge in. Due to that it is only utilised in battle where the enemy has truly shown their resistance to Roclycian might. Such as the mountain carved Scommands.
The game I'm working on is inspired from the minecraft mod minecolonies, where you build and upgrade a fantasy, manage NPC citizens, defend against raids, etc.
A lot of advertising advice I see is that I should be reaching out to people who like minecolonies, and try to get them to try the game. But so far all the streamers who play minecolonies have their DMs closed, outdated social media handles, and never answer their emails.
I'd rather avoid messaging them in their chat as that's usually against chat rules to advertise.
So what else should I try?
I'm working on trying to have my AI citizens do more than just play idle and walking animations. But I'm running into the issue that playing any other state overrides the first completely, for example if a npc is injured while walking they keep playing the injured animaton when walking later.
Currently all but walking transistition just check a enum for animaton state value and if it equals the correct one. NPCStat==Sleeping, Sleeping is true, etc.
Finally got around to revamping all of the cover art for the game. I'm really happy with how these turned out.
What do you think? Any suggestions?
