underwater horror?
i love Jaws, The Abyss, anything where the horrors of the deep sneak up on you. (shout out also Subside VR, with some incredibly lifelike sharks.)
anyone have other suggestions?

we're agreed that Clara Vought, the supervillain literally named after a Neo-Nazi group, is a Nazi, right? i'm just struggling to understand why Soldier Boy, ostensible paragon of American virtue (and who generally seems disgusted with Homelander most of the time) would like her, let alone be retconned into loving her? is this all part of some backwards plot to reverse-engineer Stormfront into a likeable character for the sake of making her the protagonist of the prequel?
inspired by another thread, i find myself thinking about the extraordinary talent and career of Liv Ullmann, a Bergman favourite but also habitually the best part of the other (mostly though not exclusively Swedish) films she starred in.
who are some of your favourites?
inspired by The Guardian’s list, thought my fellow redditors might enjoy this project from about twenty years ago. very similar methodology, very impressive roster of authors who all contributed lists.
spoilers Tolstoy “wins”!
curious if anyone has encountered reported volume level at which subway car door chimes + announcements play? i am concerned that, at least sometimes, they're so loud there's a risk of hearing damage. i found this one post but it appears to be about the trains screeching?
i am planning to visit, and curious if there are specific areas which have the look/feel of these games. i'm thinking like old villages deep in a forest, ancient mansions which aren't totally modernized/touristed over. any suggestions? what were the devs' visual references for example?
