Somehow managed to get bruises all the way along ny shinbone

I was like "why does it hurt to touch my shin?" and then I saw this. I have no idea how I managed to do this lol. Gotta love the random bruising that comes with this disorder.

Also I twisted my ankle twice in the span of a week, hence the bruising there. Doesn't hurt to walk on it. It does, however, itch like a mf and is painful to the touch.

when should I expect to notice an improvement in depressive symptoms on venlafaxine?

I have PDD, and I've been on venlafaxine since april. Am almost on the highest doseage. Will be upped to it next week. Anyways. It has done wonders for my anxiety, but my depression seems to have gotten worse, and I've been downright suicidal these past months. No noticeable improvement on that part whatsoever. The psychiatrist told me that it usually takes longer than "normal" for patients with PDD to notice improvements. I feel like I should have noticed something by now though.

At what point should I ask to try the next antidepressant on the list instead? The only reason I am still here is because they gave me sedatives to take whenever the thoughts of harming myself become too much. I can't imagine that is very healthy in the long run.

New symptom just appeared!

I am having insane vertigo spells with my eyes going left to right now. Never had that symptom before, so I'm curious to see if it is related.

The ent said they couldn't see any cholesteatoma in my outer ear when I saw them some weeks ago, but I have an MRI tomorrow which will tell me whether or not I have a cyst growing for the third time.

Ever since december ny eustachian tube has been acting up in a similar manner to what it did before the two previous cysts. I am tempted to ask for a cwd if this is the case yet again, but am also a bit wary due to my love of swimming.

Personaldo...

Dette har møtt meg i 1.etasjen hver gang jeg må innom et kontor i 3. etasjen i noen uker nå.

Ikke at jeg klager. Hadde nok gjort noe lignende om jeg jobbet der.

I just took an overdose and I don't really know why

I just took 1200mg venlafaxine. It's not enough to kill me but were all the pills I had available. I have been suffering from chronic suicidal ideation for as long as I can remember, and am diagnosed with pdd. I am currently undergoing treatment, but have felt increasingly suicidal since starting the antidepressant. I have told the therapist and psychiatrist and we agreed to up the dose while having me admitted. But I just feel so numb and tired atm. It felt like I had to do it. It is stupid. I am stupid. What even was the point if the dose I took wasn't lethal? I'll probably call the urgent care in an hour or so. All I ended up doing is to waste the time of medical professionals. Why am I so stupid?

Weight changes on drug

I am in my second month of trying venlafaxine and was put on 75 mg. Since then I have gained some weight without changing my diet. The plan is to up the dose further. I am not interested in doing so if the weight gain will continue for as long as I take it. Have there been instances of people who gain weight on a low dose but began losing weight on a higher dose?

I am asking because I was already overweight before I started taking it, and gaining any more would be bad for me.

does the weight gain stop?

I am currently well into my second month of trying this med. I am on 75 mg. I've noticed that I've gained some weight without necessarily changing my diet. The plan is to increase the dose soon.

I am wondering if the weight gain side effect will go away with time, or even if there's a chance I will lose weight if the dose is increased. I am not interested in upping the dose further if it means that I am going to gain a lot more weight as I was already overweight before I started on it 😅

They will admit me to the psych ward when they up my dose

I am currently on 75 mg and am experiencing suicidal thoughts. As for now we've worked out a good plan for me to stay in control. Once these thoughts improve the psychiatrist suggested to up the dose while being monitored at the psych ward, which I agreed to. She also said that it is not uncommon for those who have PDD to need at least 6 months or even a year until they notice an improvement in their mood. And I've just entered my second month in on this drug. I just hope it works. It would really suck if there's no improvement after a year. So much time wasted.
