Recent diagnosis

I just got out of my endoscopy and colonoscopy procedure. I was so relieved when my G.I. doctor told me that I had gastritis, because it meant I had answers for something that I’ve been fighting for for years. But now I have even more questions. I had the main concern of stomach, bloating, and gas, however, I do not experience any sort of heartburn. I am just a bit taken a back by this being the diagnosis. He prescribed me pantoprazole, once daily. Is this something that has helped anyone experiencing those symptoms? Also, I am reading this subject and noticing a lot of people saying coffee is a trigger. I am an avid coffee drinker, but have never experienced any sort of symptoms after a cup of coffee. I am just trying to navigate my next steps I suppose and wait for my H. Pylori test to come back

How am I going to make it

I’m 15 hours into my fasting journey and still have 28 hours to go and I feel like my stomach wants to eat my liver, I’m dizzy, and have a terrible headache. Coffee, juice, broth, and jello aren’t cutting it. How did y’all make it!? 😭

cephalexin side effects.?

My dog got prescribed cephalexin for a wound he had in his foot last Wednesday. Soon after he started to act very anxious especially when I went to leave the house. Friday, I got home and he was unconditionally panting, and was hiding in my house. While I’m at home, he’s fine, when I leave, the anxiety starts. Today, he was found by my mom inside my bath tub uncontrollably panting and agitated. My mom took him to her house, and after about an hour he started to calm down and act himself. He is 9years old. He has never acted like this when I leave the house. Could this be due to the medication.?? He is sleeping fine with me at night, playing, etc. His vet said said that the doctor isn’t in, and she would stop the antibiotic. Just looking for similar stories.? Thanks in advance

Any success with peptides helping IBS - C

Hi all. I’ve been dealing with IBS- C for years now. Recently I’ve doubted that that’s what is actually wrong with me as I go daily. Everything on my labs and tests are normal. But my gas and bloating are insane.. unimaginable and unbearable. I’ve been reading about KPV, and am wondering if anyone has had any success.?

Disclaimer- no I’m not looking to ‘purchase’. I just simply am looking to see if anyone else out there has had tried it and their experience

Cytopoint or Zyrtec/Cetirizine?

I have a 9 year old Golden Doddle. We live in the heart of the South so it’s recently become very hot. Over the past 8 weeks, I’ve progressively noticed him itching more and more. He’s been on Apoquel for years. His vet changed him to Numelvi. Worked a week, now we are going into 3 weeks of the medicine and we are almost back at square one with his itchiness. I’m afraid of the Cytopoint shots. I’ve read some pretty horrid things pertaining seizures, difficulty breathing, behavioral changes, tumor development, just to name a few. Has anyone had success with Zyrtec/cetirizine?

Please note, I’ve done all the allergy testing. I know what he’s allergic too. Apoquel was working for a while up until this Spring started, but I’ve not changed anything in his diet.

Pro’s & Con’s

I have my doubts about Peptides, which I’ve expressed to my husband. However, I’ve recently found out he just started Reta a few days ago and lied to my face about it. He doesn’t know that I know. I’m utterly gutted about it, but at the same time, I need to know what I, as a partner, can do to support him unknowingly.? So far I’ve read to put electrolytes in his water, and more nutritious carbs for his meals. Also, is there anything I need to watch out for.? Mood swings.? Crashes.?

Itchy skin and sudden hot spots

My golden doodle has been on Apoquel for a few years. All of a sudden about 8-10 weeks ago, he started to itch excessively. It would keep him up all night, and stop him from playing, relaxing, using the restroom, etc. Then the hot spots (I didn’t know what they were at first) started to appear. A new one every day, in different places. I’d catch and treat them right as I saw, so they never got bad, but still unimaginably uncomfortable for my pup. I made an appointment at his vet, and got him put on Numelvi. He’s been on it for 2 weeks now. First week was great. Now he’s starting to itch more, with the hot spots starting randomly. Not as bad as it was, but still, uncomfortable and keeping him up. I’ve heard horror stories of Cytopoint and Zenreila so I’m trying to not go that route. Has anyone had any long term success with trying Zyrtec for skin allergies?

For context, he is 9 years old, 54lbs. Yes, I’ve done the allergy testing. Yes I’ve taken everything he is allergic too out of his diet (for years now). We live in the southern United States. It is Spring/Summer, and very hot and humid.

Numlevi

My doodle is 9years old. Was on Apoquel for years and all of a sudden maybe 7-8 weeks ago he started to insanely itch and develop hot spots. Coincidence, maybe, that I had just given him a Bravecto chew for flea & tick, and he also had a grooming appointment around the same time. He was up all night, and would insanely itch various parts of himself. About 2 weeks ago his vet put him on Numelvi. I was skeptical, but it worked decently for the first week. Then the first hot spot appeared about 10 days after use, then the next at 12 days. He had a follow up with his vet this past Monday, and everything was decent at that time. He hadn’t
developed his second hotspot yet, and his vet said everything skin wise looked good. But, last night he was up all night just trying to itch everywhere. Has anyone tried Numelvi with good results first, then slowly getting worse.?

Excellence Playa Mujeres

T- 1 month til my stay at Excellence Playa Mujeres 🎉 I’m so excited and already starting to pack. Anyone that has went, I know there are certain theme nights. Like a silent disco party, I think I saw that they have a ‘white out’ party too some days. Anything specific I should bring.??

Saffron Threads

Has anyone had experience with using premium saffron threads in tea nightly to help with gut health/digestion, sleep, and mood.? I’m tempted to try it for the skin and gut health benefits alone, but I’ve seen some controversial reviews and issues with continued long term use

Peptides

I’m about 🤏🏼 this close to hopping on the peptide band wagon. Can anyone give me the pros and cons about peptides for women, that has actually tried it?. I’ve done research but everything is so contradictory, and treated as a ‘fad’ rather than someone who is actively trying to tone & build muscle

**pic for attention

Numelvi

My dood (9yr) has been on Apoquel for a few years now. Over the past few weeks he’s developed extreme itching & hot spots. A vet (not his usual) recommended Numelvi. I’ve not heard of it, and I hate to be biased but I know they can push these meds just due to their own commissions off the drug. It’s a new drug from what I was told, but does anyone have any success or experiences from this medication.?

Top flavors.??

New to my Nespresso Vertuo.! I’ve been trying a lil bit of this and that. My husband loves the Nola pods. I love the Columbia coffee! He’s an espresso lover, and I love a nice cup of coffee. This is my current cart, any recommendations or reviews.?? We live in the US if that matters

Hi all! Is anyone able to offer some insight into the hiring process at Northrop Grumman.? I recently applied for a dream job of mine. Once I applied it went to the ‘under consideration’ phase for a little over a week. Then the job listing got taken down, my application moved into ‘screening’ this was a little over 2 weeks ago. I haven’t been contacted by a recruiter yet. I check my emails daily just in case that is their preferred method of contact. However, I wasn’t sure if maybe I should reach out to them.? I do not wish to come across impatient though. Thank you in advance.!
