How is everyone finding a primary care doctor?

Moved to the area a little while back and still don't have a PCP set up. I've got a few chronic things going on that really need someone keeping an eye on them, but every clinic I call is either not taking new patients or booking months out.

How are people around here actually getting established with a doctor? Feel like I'm missing something.

(Already posted in a couple local subs, figured I'd try the wider East Bay crowd too)

How is everyone finding a PCP these days?

Moved to the area recently and still haven't been able to get a primary care doctor. I've got some chronic things I need to stay on top of, but every place I call is either not accepting new patients or booked out for months.

Anyone in San Mateo had luck lately? Not sure what I'm missing.

(Already posted in a couple nearby subs, trying my luck here as well)

How is anyone finding a PCP that's actually taking new patients up here?

Moved nearby recently and have been trying to get set up with a primary care doctor. I manage a chronic condition so I really need someone consistent, not just urgent care every time. Every place I call is either full or booking months out.

Curious how people here actually landed theirs, because I'm running out of ideas.

How is everyone finding a primary care doctor?

Moved to the city late last month and I still don't have a PCP. I've got a few chronic things going on that really need someone keeping an eye on. Every clinic I have called is either not taking new patients or have months of waiting.

How are yall handling this? Is there something that I am missing on?

(Already posted to other subreddits, a few folks suggested to check in here, so trying my luck here as well)

I pulled what every Fresno hospital actually charges for common medical procedures, the price gaps are wild.

Insurers are legally required to publish their negotiated rates with hospitals (Transparency in Coverage Act), but they bury it in massive, nearly impossible to access files. So I scraped millions of these pricing data points across California.

Interesting findings from childbirth pricing data in Fresno:

  • Vaginal delivery in Fresno ranges from $9,150 to $26,065.
  • The 5-star Fresno Surgical Hospital charges $14,845, while the 4-star Saint Agnes Medical Center charges $26,065.

I've only done this for common procedures so far (MRI, colonoscopy, PCP visits, ultrasound, X-ray, etc.). You can have a look here:
