Best upgrades for PX4 G-SD (Non LTT)?

Just picked up my new PX4 Storm for the rebate and wondering what I should upgrade either with the $100 rebate or $200 Beretta bucks. I have the G-SD non LTT edition and don’t know what Beretta included over the basic PX4.

AUG as an AR alternative?

Looking for something that strikes a balance between being practical, iconic, unique, circumvents SBR laws, and extremely durable. Aug seems to fit the bill but had some questions.

  1. I read reports that the Aug has the capability of being more durable than a basic M4 due to the Australian weapons test and a Las Vegas range saying they had an Aug with more than 50,000 rounds through without any parts changed. How true are these reports? To add, how durable is the Aug in general and the standard mags?

  2. How often do Augs go on sale? They all seem to be mostly running for $1800 or more nowadays. Trying to get an OD Green standard M2.

  3. Are the 14.5 barrels have a softer recoil impulse than the standard shipped 16in?

Experienced with the PX4?

I never owned or shot a Beretta before but came across the PX4 G-SD online which caught my eye and many people have been recommending them recently. I'm interested in the design but none of my local shops have one that I could get my hands on. The comfiest pistols I held were the P226 and the SP01, want to know how it compares. The full size also doesn't look much bigger than a P10C which is a decent carry option so was wondering if people managed to carry the full size.

SP01 good for a first handgun?

Heard a lot of good things about CZs and got to hold a SP-01 Tactical at my LGS. It felt really good in my hands and made me excited but the price tag of $925 made me hesitant on purchasing. I'm wanting something to practice on since my pistol shooting is subpar but would last me a long while.

▲ 30 r/10mm

There is a Grand Power (company that makes the Stribog) pistol chambered for .40/10mm with a rotating barrel I'm interested in and considered due to the glaze 10mm gets. That said the more I researched into 10mm the more I heard from others say the difference in performance and cost isn't worth it compared to 9mm and it's specialized ammo. I'm looking for something versatile whether for hiking, edc, or just target shooting. Is 10mm really worth it or is standard 9mm still better overall for general uses?
