Where to buy affordable but good-quality winter tires + rims in Durham Region/GTA?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a good place to buy winter tires and rims for my Toyota.

Tire size: 225/50R18

I’m in Oshawa, but I’m willing to drive anywhere in the GTA if the price is worth it.

I’m looking for something affordable but still good quality and reliable for Ontario winters. I’m open to either a brand new package or a good used set.

Any recommendations for shops with good prices on tires + rims as a package? Also if you recently bought a set, how much did you pay?

Thanks!

Advanced diploma or bachelor’s for a work from home career in Ontario? Weak in math

Hi everyone,

I live in Durham Region, Ontario, and currently work full-time in the exports warehouse at DHL. I have been working there since 2022, but I want to study something that can eventually help me move into an office-based, hybrid, or fully remote career.

I’m weak in math, so I want to avoid programs with heavy calculus, physics, or advanced programming.

I’m currently considering:

- Bachelor’s in Technology Management / Business + IT, possibly at Ontario Tech University

- Bachelor’s in Information Technology

- Cybersecurity

- A three-year advanced diploma in IT, networking, or computer systems

- Supply Chain Management, although I’m concerned many jobs may require being on-site

My main goals are:

- Good job opportunities in Canada

- Possibility of hybrid or work-from-home employment

- Reasonable math requirements

- Good long-term salary and career growth

- A qualification that could also be useful in the Gulf countries

Would Technology Management / Business + IT be the best option for someone like me? Is a bachelor’s worth the extra time compared with a three-year advanced diploma?

I would especially appreciate advice from people working in IT, business analysis, cybersecurity, project coordination, or supply chain. What did you study, and how difficult was it to find a hybrid or remote job?

Looking for a serious life partner in Canada any advice?

Assalamualaikum everyone, hope everyone is doing well.

I've been thinking about posting this for a while, mostly to see if others relate, but also to put myself out there in a respectful way.

I'm at a stage in life where I value stability growth and building something meaningful. Alhamdulillah I'm working as a Supervisor in logistics at multinational company and I'm financially independent. I take my responsibilities seriously and try to keep improving both in dunya and deen.

For me, marriage isn't just a next step it's something genuinely look forward to. The idea of building a halal life with someone, based on respect, trust, and mutual growth, means a lot to me. A peaceful home supporting each other, and growing together both in life and in deen that's the goal InshaAllah.

A bit about me:

Pakistani background Karachi, raised in Saudi Arabia & UAE

Sunni Muslim, I pray 5x a day and try to stay consistent

27 years old male based in Ontario

\- Family-oriented, calm, and responsible

\- I value honesty, loyalty, and clear communication

Not here for casual talk only serious intentions

What I'm looking for:

Someone who is practicing or trying to be and values deen

\- Family-oriented, kind and emotionally mature

Open to living in a joint family setup with proper privacy and respect

\- Preferably someone who is also working or wants to build a future together here in Canada

I understand marriage comes with responsibility, patience, and effort and I'm ready for that. I'm not looking for perfection, just someone sincere who wants to build a life together.

If you feel there could be compatibility, feel free to reach out. We can take things forward respectfully and involve families when appropriate.

JazakAllah!

27M Sunni Muslim in Ontario Looking for a Serious Marriage Partner | Open to Shia-Sunni Compatibility

Assalamualaikum everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well.

I'm a 27M and have been thinking about making this post for a while, mostly to see if others can relate, but also to respectfully put myself out there.

I'm at a stage in life where I value stability, growth, and building something meaningful. Alhamdulillah, I work as a Logistics Supervisor at a multinational company and am financially independent. I take my responsibilities seriously and always try to improve myself in both dunya and deen.

For me, marriage isn't just the next step in life it's something I genuinely look forward to. The idea of building a halal life with someone based on respect, trust, compassion and mutual growth means a lot to me. A peaceful home where we support each other and grow together in life and deen is the goal, InshaAllah.

A bit about me:

- Pakistani background (Karachi), raised in Saudi Arabia and the UAE

- 27 years old, based in Ontario, Canada

- Sunni Muslim; I pray five times a day and try to stay consistent in my deen

- Family-oriented, calm, responsible, and always trying to become a better person

- I value honesty, loyalty, respect, and clear communication

- Not here for casual conversations only serious marriage intentions

Regarding Shia/Sunni differences:

I want to be transparent that I am Sunni, but I personally do not believe in approaching marriage with hatred or hostility because of sect differences.

For me, as long as someone is a sincere Muslim who believes in Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, has good character, and wants to build a marriage based on deen and respect, that is what matters most.

We all share many important things the same Qur'an, the same Prophet ﷺ, and the worship of the same Allah. I don't believe in carrying the hatred and divisions that have been passed down through generations. My intention is not to debate differences, but to find someone sincere who wants to build a peaceful and halal life together.

What I'm looking for:

- Someone who is practicing Islam or sincerely trying to improve in their deen

- Kind, family-oriented, emotionally mature, and respectful

- Someone who values communication, loyalty, and understanding

- Open to living in a joint family setup with proper privacy, respect, and boundaries

- Preferably someone who is working or wants to build a future together here in Canada

I understand marriage comes with responsibility, patience, compromise, and effort, and I'm ready for that. I'm not looking for perfection just someone sincere who wants to grow together and build a peaceful home.

If you feel there could be compatibility, feel free to reach out. We can get to know each other respectfully and involve families when appropriate, InshaAllah.

JazakAllah khair.

Where to buy FIFA World Cup 2026?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to buy FIFA World Cup 2026 merchandise

team jerseys, hats, scarves, accessories, etc.

Does anyone know good stores or shops that sell official or high-quality gear for different national teams?

Would appreciate any recommendations 🙌

Should I buy a 4K Mini LED or OLED TV now or wait till just before FIFA World Cup 2026?

Hey guys,

I’m planning to buy a 4K TV (either Mini LED or OLED), mainly for watching sports like the FIFA World Cup 2026 and movies.

Do you think it’s better to buy nowor wait until June right before the World Cup?

I’m wondering if:

Prices will drop more closer to the World Cup

New models will release

Or current deals right now are already good enough

Also, would you recommend OLED or Mini LED for sports viewing?

Thanks!
