Wanting to start making changes to recover from burnout. But what to focus on first?
I'm early into my burnout recovery journey after self diagnosing about a month ago (although my psychiatrist has informally diagnosed me with ADHD with a formal assessment scheduled). I'm working through the Autistic Burnout Workbook, which has so many great ideas about things I can do to get through my burnout.
To avoid overwhelming myself, I want to pick just two or three things to focus on first, and then I'll make other adjustments as time goes on. The thing is, I don't really know which things I should focus on first or which would be most beneficial for me. I know one of the things I intend to work on is boundaries around my professional workload and the chore load I put on myself. I'll then use that time I've gained back for myself to rest and recover from my day. Beyond that, though, I'm not sure which other things I should focus on.
What tweaks to your life did you find most beneficial and would recommend to someone who's starting out on their adult AuDHD journey? Do you know of any good ways to determine what things I may, personally, most need?
