Freedom 250 indycar race becomes highest rated race since 2008, averages 3.28 million viewers

Edit: this may not seem like a big win, but for IndyCar it is. It’s been 20 years since they’ve gotten numbers this high outside of Indy

F1 viewership has plunged since move from ESPN to Apple TV

The numbers (and headline), I feel, should be taken with a grain of salt, in particular:

>Methodology: USA TODAY compiled this data from Samba TV, which said it gathers viewership data from “its proprietary Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) technology from tens of millions of opted-in Smart TVs resolved to nationally-representative panels. Samba's ACR is integrated at the chipset level across 24 of the top Smart TVs sold in more than 100 countries globally.”

So the study seems limited to the "top 24 Smart TVs" that also have the AppleTV app. This leaves out anyone watching on AppleTV hardware, or any mobile device, or anyone also using the Apple subscription to watch on F1TV.

Nexstar/ABC, what do we think happens in December?

I’m just curious to see what other people think what will happen as their affiliation agreement ends at the end of this year. We’ve seen Nexstar not afraid to drop affiliations for CW ones, and I’m curious what we think will happen here if that trend continues

Police 24/7 is actually pretty good

I’m shocked at how good it is. Reminds me of Cops but newer. I am pleasantly surprised at how good it is

Is WIAT becoming a CW affiliate or not?

Looking at the tv guide, they just have hours of friends reruns lined up for next week. No CW programming, nor anything about leaving CBS outside of their Alabama’s 42 rebrand.

Al.com and the desk along with Wikipedia says that it will be a CW affiliate starting Saturday, but CW programming still shows up on WTTO for the tv guide past then. Along with very little from WIAT. Does anyone know if it will be or not? Al.com is a very reliable source so I don’t think they’d purposely tell a lie on this.
