I'm working on my first horror game map set inside a bunker. I'm still new to game development, but I want to become a horror game developer in the future because I absolutely love horror games they're the best genre ever. I recently started working on the map, and I was wondering what you guys think of it so far.
So I’m planning on making an underground bunker with scripted events happening and no AI included. Since this is my first game, I want it to be at least half decent. How would I plan out the map so it doesn’t seem small? Some advice would help.
Lately, I’ve been getting more into Hello Neighbor, especially with 3 coming around. I honestly think it’s one of my top 3 mascot horror games because I see it as really underappreciated.
So I gotta ask why is it such a mixed mascot horror game? Some people love to slander it, yet a lot of people still love it.
PS: The Guest is my favorite character in the series. He’s so cool.
its not the biggest step in game dev especially for me but this is by far the farthest i have gotten in learning game dev
For context, I’m trying to work on a semi free-roam Five Nights at Freddy's fangame similar to the office level from The Joy of Creation. I’m trying to find a good tutorial video for a camera system, but the ones I liked don’t have anyone talking they’re just videos of people building it. I’m someone who needs things explained step by step so I can actually understand them in the future. Maybe one of you guys could help me find a good video for what I’m trying to make.
ti was gonna look at their learning videos then realized that their vids are quite old i didnt even know what fab was we are one 5.7 but their vids are on about 5.2 rip
So I’m going to start working in unreal engine this week, trying to make a simple game before I make the one I actually want, and also learning Blueprints.
Because in the future maybe this year or next I’d like to make horror games.
My question is: what’s the best way to learn Blueprints? YouTube videos are good, but they can’t teach you everything on their own. So I was wondering how you all learned, and maybe I could do the same.
As I said, I’m new and I have a question. I’d like to make a FNAF game in Unreal Engine, something inspired by TJOC (wow, shocker).
Here’s the thing: I like making 3D models it’s my favorite thing to do. But I know coding isn’t for me. I understand that Blueprints are node-based scripting, which from what I get is basically like connecting pieces to tell things what to do.
So I was wondering is it possible to make a FNAF game using only Blueprints?
I could try learning Clickteam or GameMaker, but I’d really love to use UE5.
So if someone wanted to make a game similar to The Joy of Creation in terms of gameplay, is it possible while being limited to a good-looking office with AI mechanics? I’m trying to figure out what the limitations are, because I’d like to make a FNAF fangame.
So I’m currently making a new model for either a game or videos (that part doesn’t really matter). I’d like to know how you guys handle making endoskeletons for the head.
I usually kind of cheat when making the endo, but I want to hear how others normally do it. It’s hard to align the eyes on the endo with the eyes in the outer head, if you know what I mean.
Is there just not a clone of Bendy in the new game, or will he somehow become the Ink Demon again? Or are Bendy and the Demon now two separate entities? I have a lot of questions—what are your thoughts?
i been seeing people with the purple guy sprite from fnaf 2 saying its Henry and i been confused lately any help shedding some light
