It should be standard practice to name your children after people you don’t like.

Once you choose a name for your child, they will almost certainly become the first person you think of when you hear that name. After you have to say your child’s name dozens of times a day for 18 years, there is no way that saying that name will still remind you of your ex or the kid who bullied you in middle school. Besides, having children is often seen as a fresh start in a person’s life, and what better way to do that then getting rid of the negative connotations you have with a specific name? As long as that person is not an outright bad person, obviously.

“Friends with benefits” should mean the same thing as “friends in high places”.

Think about it- if you have friends in high places, those friends provide you with benefits, making them friends with benefits. The phrase “friends with benefits” gives no indication of a semi-romantic or sexual relationship whatsoever.
