Morality of marrying a alicorn?

They have tons of experience and knowledge but have also done horrific actions against both good and bad beings. They're extremely powerful but also immortal. And would marrying one even be good even if you end up dying in what could only add more trauma and pain to their life? And having children with them. Who's to say they are also mortal? And I just like their mortal parent. Is it really worth it to marry one and live the rest of your life with them? Or would it only add more pain to a being that has experienced untold pain for millennia?
