What is the best way to use a crypto wallet for day to day usage?

I mostly open my crypto wallet when I need to send something, receive funds, or make a swap. Other than that, the balance usually just sits there.

Recently I’ve been seeing wallets add more everyday stuff like paying with stablecoins, cards, QR payments, bank transfers, and earning on USDT or USDC. It got me wondering if anyone is actually using their wallet this way.

I could see myself using it more if the same stablecoin balance I already hold could cover payments, transfers, and earn something while it’s sitting unused.

Why the Next Decade Could Belong to Gold and the Miners

The argument is that gold miners are still relatively cheap compared with the metal. Both the GDX/gold and GDXJ/gold ratios spent years declining and building a base. Historically, when those relationships finally reversed, miners started outperforming gold because their earnings can benefit disproportionately from higher gold prices.

A miner has production costs that don't necessarily rise at the same rate as gold. If producing an ounce costs 2,000 and gold goes from 3,000 to 4,000, the gold price rises 33%, but the theoretical margin per ounce doubles from $1,000 to $2,000. Obviously real mining businesses are much more complicated than that, but it explains why miners can behave like leveraged exposure to gold during a strong cycle.

There is another angle I hadn't really considered enough. Large miners continuously deplete their reserves simply by producing gold. Eventually those ounces need to be replaced through exploration, acquisitions or both. If stronger gold prices keep improving cash flow, some of that capital could eventually move toward smaller producers and junior explorers.

Though, I’m not convinced by the 8,000 gold target because historical cycles rarely repeat perfectly. But the GDX/gold and GDXJ/gold ratios are worth watching if capital starts rotating into mining stocks.

With July CPI cooling to 3.4%, I’m keeping a closer eye on gold here.

July CPI came in at 0.1% MoM and 3.4% YoY, while core CPI landed at 0.2% MoM and 2.5% YoY. The softer inflation picture gives gold another supportive macro factor.

Gold has already moved from the 4,330 to 4,350 area I was watching toward 4,410, with 4,470 still on my radar above. At this point, I’d much rather see how buyers respond to a pullback than chase the move.

CPI-driven volatility also brings execution into the picture, especially with larger positions. Wider spreads and thinner liquidity can force bigger orders through multiple price levels, so even the right directional call can end up with a worse entry and weaker risk/reward.

volatility can widen spreads, and bigger orders may need to move through several levels of liquidity before getting completely filled. So even if the directional idea is right, slippage can change the actual risk or reward quite a bit where bitget’s cfd pro mode might be helpful for a better execution, but one we should always follow is managing risk carefully.

basically, CPI can give gold a catalyst, but entry, liquidity and execution still decide whether the trade is actually worth taking.

Liquidity is important while trading a volatile stock like AXTI

AXTI has been a good example of this lately. The stock moved from roughly the $50 area to the high-$80s within a week, helped by strong Q2 numbers and much stronger Q3 guidance. That kind of move gets attention fast, but it also makes execution more important.

When volatility is high, I usually look at two things separately:

  • The trade thesis- key levels, earnings/guidance, whether the move is holding
  • The execution- spread, order-book depth, and how much the price moves when you actually enter

I was looking through recent stock-perp order-book data comparing Bitget, Binance, OKX, Bybit and Hyperliquid. Bitget showed the deepest liquidity across most of the 5bps, 10bps and 50bps comparisons for SPCX, SNDK and AMD. Hyperliquid played stronger on PLTR at some depths.

Comparison

For something moving as fast as AXTI, I’d rather spend less time asking “which exchange lists it?” and more time asking “where can I actually get the cleanest execution?”

Gold is near record highs, but silver is the move I’m watching more closely

Gold is still holding above $4,350, which tells me safe-haven demand has not really disappeared. A softer dollar and ongoing tension around the Strait of Hormuz are giving buyers enough reason to stay positioned, even with gold already trading near record territory.

At the same time, DXY dropping below 100 is another signal I’m watching. A weaker dollar usually gives commodities and risk assets some breathing room, and we are already seeing that reflected in tech. NASDAQ is up 1.30%, while the Dow is also positive.

But silver looks more interesting right now. It is up around 3.25% at $64.31 and clearly outperforming gold. Part of that comes from the same safe-haven flow, but silver also has industrial demand from solar, EVs and other sectors behind it. That combination makes the move feel broader than just a fear trade.

Oil is the odd one out. WTI is slightly weaker around $77 despite geopolitical risk because softer Chinese data is raising questions about demand. That is a good reminder that headlines alone are not enough to trade a market. Supply risk can push one way while demand expectations pull the other.

What is the best self custody wallet you have used so far?

I’m thinking about moving more of my crypto into self custody and wanted to hear what people here actually use. Because I am trying to keep the day to day activity in one place and use it as storage as well.

Some of my priorities are security, a simple interface, reliable transactions, and not having to deal with a bunch of unnecessary complexity. I’d also prefer something that works well for regular use, not just long-term storage.

Watching a couple of CFD markets today including Silver

Silver has lost momentum recently, though gold is testing resistance while NAS100 is holding around a key support zone. I'm waiting for confirmation before taking any trade, so I've got both charts open side by side to compare the price action.

The updated TradingView charts on bitget have been a nice addition. Split-screen monitoring, customizable workspaces, multiple chart types, and advanced indicators make it easier to stay organized, while keeping analysis and execution on the same page.

I'm currently planning to start CFD copy tradings as it is becoming popular recently. The invite-only approach gives traders more control over who joins their copy trading circle, which is an interesting addition.

Curious to see how both of these features evolve over time. Has anyone else tried them yet?

The Market Looks Mixed, but Oil and the Dollar Are Telling the Real Story

Gold slipped slightly to $4,068 as the stronger dollar created pressure, but the downside stayed limited because tensions in the Middle East are keeping safe-haven demand alive. Silver fell much harder, down 2.22%, showing how quickly it can underperform gold when traders reduce commodity exposure.

Oil is becoming the bigger macro risk now. Rising tensions near Oman and U.S. military action in Iran are adding a fresh geopolitical premium, which could keep inflation concerns alive if energy prices continue higher.

At the same time, DXY climbed to 100.33, pushing EUR/USD and GBP/USD lower. The Dow still managed a small gain as Amazon’s earnings helped support tech, but broader sentiment remains cautious.
