Did You Like the Force Object Transfer Between Rey and Kylo Ren?

What do you all think about the Force ability that let Rey and Kylo Ren transfer objects to each other through their connection and the concept of the Force Dyad?

I’m talking about scenes like the one in The Rise of Skywalker where Rey sends the lightsaber to Kylo so he can fight the Knights of Ren.

Did you like the concept of the Force Dyad, or do you think it went too far?

The Old Republic or The High Republic First in Theaters?

I’m not asking which era is better overall, I’m asking which one feels more ideal for Star Wars movies right now.

The Old Republic probably has more hype and potential overall. It’s one of the most loved eras in Star Wars, and if they truly nailed it, it could become one of the biggest things the franchise has done in years.

But at the same time, that’s also what makes it risky.

Fans already have very specific expectations for that era, its characters, aesthetics, lore, and tone. Even small changes could create huge backlash if it doesn’t match what people imagined for years.

The High Republic feels safer in some ways. It already has its fanbase, but because it’s newer, I feel like filmmakers would have more creative freedom and less pressure adapting it into movies.

But if Lucasfilm ever got The Old Republic completely right… the payoff could probably be much bigger.

Which era should come to theaters first?

What are the chances of seeing a "Force push" as powerful as this in a movie?

It's a very powerful "Force push," almost like the Hadouken from Street Fighter.

Yoda did something similar in his fight against Sidious, but not as powerful as this.

I think it's incredible and would be fantastic in a movie, but I know fans don't always like it—and might find it a bit over the top.

Do you agree?

The Rise of Skywalker Is Somehow the Sequel Movie I Rewatch the Most

Even though The Rise of Skywalker is my least favorite movie in the sequel trilogy overall… it’s somehow the one I rewatch the most.

And honestly, I still can’t fully explain why.

I’ve even tried reevaluating my opinion and thinking maybe it’s secretly my favorite sequel movie, but I don’t think that’s it either.

I just really enjoy the vibe, the visuals, the fast pacing, and especially seeing Rey, Finn, and Poe finally feeling like an actual trio together.

There’s something about the atmosphere of that movie that keeps pulling me back, even though I still think the other sequel films are probably better structured movies overall.

Maybe it’s just one of those Star Wars movies that’s easier to casually rewatch?

Does anyone else feel this way about The Rise of Skywalker?

What are battles like for the Jedi in the High Republic?

From what I've read, the villains are the Nihil, and they aren't Sith.

So, my question is:

What do the Jedi use lightsabers against, and are lightsaber duels good?

I mean, they use lightsabers, sure, but I can only imagine them fighting Sith, who also use lightsabers.

But, since there are no Sith, how do they use lightsabers against the Nihil?

Or rather, do the Nihil use any kind of weapon to duel with lightsabers?

Are there other villains besides the Nihil that could lead to lightsaber duels?

I'm asking this because I want to start reading, but I wanted to clarify this doubt first.

Do You Like Kylo Ren’s Design?

I’m specifically talking about Kylo Ren’s visual design here — not his personality, writing, or whether he’s a good villain.

I’ve always thought his overall look was one of the strongest parts of the sequel trilogy. The dark robes, damaged mask, deep voice effect, and especially the unstable crossguard lightsaber give him a very unique presence compared to other Sith and dark side users.

I’m also curious what people think about the lightsaber itself. Do you like the unstable “crackling” energy concept and the crossguard design, or do you think it looks too overdesigned for Star Wars?

How did people react to the completely different visual style of the prequels at the time?

I love the relationship between this trio—I loved every moment.

I just wish I'd seen them together from the beginning of the trilogy—or at least in the second film.

Even so, I still love them, and The Rise of Skywalker made me happy in that regard.

Note: The first image is a joke.

Star Wars Starfighter: Does Shawn Levy's filmography inspire confidence?

Let's forget Disney for a minute and imagine a new Rogue One emerging here – just for ONE minute.

About Shawn:

I think Real Steel is a good example, as it presents an excellent father-son relationship (adult and child), in my opinion – which I believe Starfighter will explore.

And he knows how to work with large-scale films and top-notch visual effects – so, visually, the film could be very interesting.

He's not the best choice, but he has some very interesting films on his resume.

I believe the film will have its own identity, at the very least. Now, it remains to be seen how the story and its development will unfold.

Do you think he deserves at least a vote of confidence?

Which one had the best introduction?

Which one had the best introduction?

Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo Ren, Snoke?

I only included new characters, those who were best introduced in their scenes.

For me, it was Finn.

Does Timothy Zahn's Thrwan trilogy fit into the canon?

In other words, can we say that it takes place before the sequel trilogy, or would that be too strange?

What's so wrong with this scene?

Leia using the Force in space in The Last Jedi, after her ship explodes.

I just wanted to understand why this scene is so controversial – I really didn't see anything wrong with it that would justify such a heated discussion.

What doesn't make sense about it? Why is this scene so hated?

I didn't see any reason for so much controversy when I first watched it.

And it's okay if someone doesn't like it, but this scene was so hated and discussed that I still wonder why!

What's wrong with Leia using the Force in this scene?

Rey in red?

When I saw the promotional material for The Last Jedi, I had high expectations that, at the end of the film, Rey would be dressed in red.

Was I the only one who thought that?

The promotional material for the film used a lot of red, and Rey appeared in red clothing, as did the other characters – but I believed that this had some connection to her.

I think it was just my idea, an expectation I created for myself because I thought she would look incredible in red.

Anyway, it would have been an amazing look, along with a double-bladed lightsaber.

It seems like it's mandatory to have children at the center of the main plot in every Jurassic Park/World movie.

The last movie was terrible for me because of that.

Sure, there can be children in the movies, but not at the center of the main plot.

If there are, they should be used in another way – although I don't know how.

So, it's better to simply not put any more children in the main plot.

What do you think?

u/Extreme_Warning3521 — 14 days ago

Directors I would love to see at the helm of a Jurassic Park movie:

Gore Verbinski - Fede Alvarez - Dan Trachtenberg - Robert Eggers.

Gore Verbinski would create very creative scenes, a very fun and scary movie, with incredible visual effects.

I think it would be difficult for Robert Eggers to do it, and I believe he would demand an R rating (18+), but it's a dream of mine.

2012, 2015, and especially 2018 should have been years when Planet of the Apes certainly would have won the Oscar for visual effects.

Like, those apes are super realistic, with fur and everything – it's very difficult to do that.

The first film had a budget of 80 million and already had very realistic effects.

In the end, it was a horrible movie. So poorly made and with such strange scenes – I was very disappointed.

I saw on YouTube that they cut a lot of the movie because of the studio, which is a shame.
