Is it Good fit or Oversized?

Hey everyone,

This is my Asics Gel cumulus 28 in US8/UK7.. Does the fit look good or is it big for my foot? I have sized up on this shoe as Puma Velocity Nitro 4 US7.5/Uk6.5 have caused me blisters sometimes after long runs.

So it is okay for a running shoe to have this much gap at front?

Copped Asics Gel Cumulus 28 for 5.7k! Metroactiv

Hey everyone,

So this post is update to my previous post regarding 50% off on Asics gel cumulus 28 at Metroactiv.

The price was too good to be true specially for a newly released shoe! But having been shopping from Metro stores for quite sometime i had gut feeling that it is legit. So i pulled the trigger and ordered it at 5.7k..

And today my shoe arrived and guess what guys, it is legit and was also sent in a great packaging.. i am feeling like I was really lucky to have grabbed the offer.

The shoe just feels like a Damm cloud and its also lightweight. :)

An unpleasant delivery mix-up turned into a surprisingly pleasant experience with Amazon India!

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a wholesome customer support experience I had with Amazon India recently.

I live in a relatively remote location where basic items aren't always easy to find locally. Since someone at home fell ill recently and needed a lot of daily medications, I ordered a Cello Medico First Aid Box (₹199) on Amazon to help organize everything.

Here is how the story unfolded:

Aug 10: The item was marked as "Delivered" in the app, but no delivery executive called, texted, or actually handed over the package. I raised a complaint immediately, and customer care asked me to wait until Aug 12.

Aug 12: Still no sign of the box. I reached out to customer support again. They mentioned the parcel might be misplaced, issued a full refund to my Amazon Pay Balance, and advised me to place a new order if I still needed it.

Aug 14: Out of nowhere, the delivery agent dropped off the package with my security guard without any prior call or notification.

Since I now had both the product and the refund, I felt guilty keeping the money. I immediately contacted Amazon customer service to explain the situation. I let them know I wanted to keep the box and asked them to deduct the ₹199 back from my Amazon Pay Balance.

To my surprise, the support agent told me: "Sir, this was an error on our end, not yours. You can keep the product as well as the refund."

It’s a small amount (₹199), but the gesture really stood out to me. To be fair, I have a clean account history with very few returns or cancellations, which might have helped my case. Still, moments like this are why I keep trusting Amazon over other platforms when it comes to customer care.

Kudos to their support team for handling it so gracefully!

Asics Gel Cumulus 28 at 50% Metroativ! Regarding Orders.

Hey runners!

So most of you all know that Metroactiv was offering the newly launched Asics gel cumulus at 50% off! Which is in itself quite a shocking thing and at too good to be true price, but just upon the trust on Metro Brand, i have pulled the trigger and ordered which is soon to be delivered.

I also came across few posts where i believe many more have ordered the same!

So i request all those you have ordered the same shoes at the same discount to kindly comment below so that we can connect in dms and check if the shoes are legit! We can cross check the pictures, weights and all.

And if it turns out to be legit or fake then either way we can post it in this sub and makes others aware!

Thanks in advance!

Closed Market vs Open Market: Where do you buy authentic running shoes at discounts?

Hey everyone,

Unlike Western countries where runners have access to specialized local running stores, outlet malls, and dedicated discounters, most cities in India severely lack proper running shoe retail stores. On top of that, running shoe prices in India can be pretty steep, so most of us are heavily dependent on online discounts below MRP to grab our pairs.

However, online shopping in India comes with its own headache: the constant anxiety of fake or counterfeit shoes, swapped returns, or older stock.

While browsing and comparing deals, I noticed that online platforms in India essentially fall into two distinct categories:

1. Closed Market System (Direct / 1st Party Retailers)

Examples: AJIO, MetroActiv

How it works: These platforms operate as direct inventory holders/sellers or primary distributors. Companies like Reliance (AJIO) and Metro Brands (MetroActiv) also run widespread physical retail chains.

The Perception: Lower chances of counterfeit products since there are no random 3rd-party vendors listing items—the inventory comes directly from brand supply chains or primary distributions.

However, sometimes Ajio and Metroactiv also post deals that are too good to be true!

2. Open Market System (Marketplace Platforms)

Examples: Amazon, Flipkart (and hybrid models like Myntra, Tata CLiQ, Nykaa)

How it works: Open marketplaces allow various third-party sellers to list products, fulfill orders, and set prices.

The Perception: You often find massive price drops and deep discounts, but authenticity depends heavily on who the actual seller is (e.g., Appario/Cocoblu on Amazon vs. unknown 3rd-party sellers).

Which system do you personally trust more for getting 100% authentic running shoes?

Have you ever received a fake or suspect pair from either side?

What are your go-to tips/sellers when looking for legit discounts in India?

Drop your experiences and let’s help each other avoid getting burned on fake pairs!

How long does the Garmin Forerunner 55 take to calibrate and give accurate data? (4–5 days in and feeling disappointed)

Hey everyone,

I recently bought a new Garmin Forerunner 55 about 4–5 days ago. I was super excited about it given Garmin's reputation, but honestly, so far the data feels completely all over the place.

From sleep tracking to running pace and heart rate, the numbers feel like total guesswork right now. At the moment, it feels no different than a cheap $20 fitness band, which is pretty frustrating after having such high expectations.

For those who have used the Forerunner 55 (or Garmin in general):

Does the watch adapt/calibrate to your body over time? If so, how many weeks of consistent wear did it take before the metrics (resting HR, sleep, VO2 Max, pace/distance accuracy, body battery) actually started feeling reliable?

Is there anything I should adjust? (e.g., watch fit/placement on the wrist, GPS settings, data recording options like Every Second vs. Smart)?

Would love to hear your experiences and whether I just need to give it more time or if this is as good as it gets for sleep/health metrics on this model. Thanks!

Why is the Indian running shoe market still so neglected by major brands?

I’ve noticed that brands like Adidas, ASICS, Xtep and Kiprun (Decathlon) often don’t launch their better/premium running shoes in India.

India has such a huge consumer market, plus several major marathons and a rapidly growing running community. So why are premium lineups still so limited here?

A few things I’ve noticed:

Half sizes: ASICS, for example, offers many half sizes in other countries that aren’t available in India.

Colorways: Many of the better/unique colourways never make it to India.

Limited premium models: Several flagship/super-shoes simply aren’t launched here.

Brooks, Saucony, ON and New Balance still don’t have a proper direct retail presence for running shoes in India.

Dynafish and Li-Ning are practically non-existent in the Indian running market.

Meanwhile, Puma and Nike seem to be the most consistent when it comes to bringing their running lineups and new launches to India.

Considering how quickly running is growing here, why are so many major brands still treating India as a secondary market? Is it because of pricing, import duties, demand projections, distribution issues, or something else?

Would love to hear from people who have more insight into the Indian running shoe industry.

Is it normal for MIP display?

Hey everyone,

I have a Garmin FR55 watch, which uses a MIP display, the watch is normal and all good, but today when I was wiping the screen, maybe i put some pressure with my hand and the pixels distorted, however on going to any other page or by clicking any other button retores the page to normal.

I check doing again with slight pressure with fingers that it isn't occurring but as soon as I put pressure with palm then it distorts the pixels but again restores back to normal shifting to any other page.

So is this normal for MIP display or my unit has some issues?

Samsung Fit 3 vs Garmin Forerunner 55 for a beginner runner - is Garmin worth stretching my budget?

Hi runners,

I've been running for about 4 months now, and I can honestly say I've fallen in love with it.

My goal is to complete my first 10K race on November 22nd this year. Currently, I'm training 3 times a week:

1 easy run

1 tempo run

1 long run

My longest run so far is 6 km.

Until now I've been carrying my phone on every run, but I'm starting to feel like I need a proper fitness tracker. As my training gets more structured, I want to monitor my heart rate, understand my Zone 2 efforts, and get a better idea of metrics like VO₂ max. I'm pretty committed at this point and genuinely look forward to every run.

I don't want a smartwatch with lots of extra features. I don't care about taking calls, replying to messages, or charging it every day. I just want a reliable device that helps me become a better runner.

My budget is limited.

I can comfortably afford the Samsung Fit 3 (I also use a Samsung S25).

If I stretch my budget a bit, I can buy the Garmin Forerunner 55.

So I'm wondering:

Is the Samsung Fit 3 good enough for someone at my stage?

How accurate and reliable is its heart rate tracking during runs?

Is its GPS (using the phone) sufficient, or will I regret not having built-in GPS?

Is the Garmin Forerunner 55 really worth spending the extra money?

If you were in my position, would you buy the Fit 3 now and upgrade later, or go straight for the Garmin?

I'd especially love to hear from people who've used both devices or switched from a fitness band to a Garmin.

Thanks in advance!

u/Familiar_Scheme_7190 — 28 days ago

What do you guys have a say about this?

So i came across a reel on Instagram who claims that the flipkart seller "HSAtlastrades" who happens to be an flipkart Authorized seller tagged actually sells fake shoes. I always had a doubt on the authenticity of flipkart and specially this seller when it comes to Asics running shoes, but still people keep telling they are genuine, got checked in poizon, but if someone is making a video on it openly and claiming it to be a scam then maybe we must be cautious.

What are your thoughts on it guys?

Ran my first 6k as a beginner runner! Goal is to run 10k race this November!

Hey everyone,

So this is an update to my previous post. As you all know I have started running and with a goal to run 10k race this year November 22nd. So last week I did my first 5k and today i did my first 6k. Every week I am increasing my long run by 1 km.

So I have uploaded both 5k and 6k stats. Hope good runners can give me suggestions if I am improving myself and things I should keep in mind further to achieve my goal.

I am 170 cm with 70.30 kg right now. Using currently Puma velocity nitro 4 for my runs and my goal is to only participate in 10k So that I shall remain motivated to run and stay healthy, specially to run on those days when I feel lazy. Currently I am running at evening after my work hours.

I dont have a fitness band or smartwatch, so I carry phone for runs and tracking my runs using Nike Run Club app.

Hoping for valuable suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Just did my first 5k today! Goal is a 10k in late November. Am I on the right track?

Hey everyone,

I just started running recently and wanted to share a milestone while getting some advice from the community. Today, I officially completed my very first 5k run!

My ultimate goal is to participate in a 10k race in late November of this year. Since I'm pretty new to this, I'm trying to figure out if my current baseline is a good starting point and how I should approach my training moving forward.

Need Best 10k race shoe - Recommendation!

Hi everyone,

I'm quite new to running and have recently started my running journey with a dream of completing my first 10K race.

I began with the Adidas Duramo SL and have run quite a few kilometers in it. As my runs started getting longer, I felt the shoe was becoming a bit stiff and less comfortable, especially on longer runs.

After doing a lot of research and reading reviews, I bought the Puma Velocity Nitro 4, and I'm really enjoying it.

My current shoe rotation is:

Adidas Duramo SL – Short/easy runs

Puma Velocity Nitro 4 – Long runs

My city's nearest 10K marathon is on 22nd November, and I'm training towards it. My current personal best is 5K in 30 minutes, and I'm gradually building up to 10K.

Now I'm thinking of investing in one more running shoe, preferably something that excels in 10K races.

I don't plan on running half marathons or full marathons anytime soon.

My main focus is participating in 10K events to stay motivated, improve my fitness, and most importantly, stay injury-free.

I value comfort, protection, and a fun ride more than chasing elite race times.

I'd love to hear your recommendations. Thanks in Advance.

ASICS SHOE! Can anyone explain me this?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to buy the ASICS Gel Nimbus 27 and noticed something that has left me quite confused.

On Flipkart, there are two listings for the same shoe:

One seller is ASICS India (marked as Flipkart Assured and an authorised seller).

The other seller is HSAAtlasTradeFashion (also marked as Flipkart Assured and an authorised seller).

The strange part is:

There is a significant price difference between the two.

The ASICS India listing mentions the country of origin as Indonesia.

The HSAAtlasTradeFashion listing mentions the country of origin as Vietnam.

I also checked the official ASICS India website, and there the Gel Nimbus 27 is listed as being made in Indonesia.

Can anyone explain why this happens?

Puma Velocity Nitro 4!

Hey mates, hi hope you guys are doing well. I have a quick question, I have purchased puma velocity nitro 4 from the official puma app which I received today. However what I noticed is that the there is no NITRO written on the box as I have seen in several unboxing videos or over the internet.

So is it normal or there maybe an issue of counterfeit product?

u/Familiar_Scheme_7190 — 2 months ago

Any thoughts on this?

Puma velocity nitro 4, both flipkart assured, same shoe but different price. What are your thoughts on this?
