23(F) I overshare because I trust people, but when they don't open up to me, I feel like the fool

I have a habit of sharing every detail of my life with people I trust, whether it's about me or my family. But in the end, I'm always the one sharing everything. When it's the other person's turn, they often say, "I don't share my private things." Every time I hear that, it breaks something inside me.

It always leaves me wondering: Am I a fool for trusting people this much? Or am I just not trustworthy enough for people to open up to me?

Because of this, I've started wanting to change my habit of sharing every little detail of my life. I always end up regretting it later.

I'm not saying people who choose not to share are wrong. Everyone has the right to keep things private. But when they say that to me after I've shared so much with them, it makes me feel like I'm the dumb one for trusting so easily.

Recently, this happened with my boyfriend. I asked him about a part of his past that has always made me feel insecure—something personal about his casual relationships through dating apps. His response was, "I won't share my private things." This wasn't the first time he's said that about this topic.

Again, I'm not saying he's wrong. It's his choice, and I'm not blaming him for wanting privacy. What hurt me was that I've shared everything with him, even things that are deeply personal to me, because I trusted him. Hearing him say that made me feel like I was foolish for being so open while he still feels that some parts of his life should stay private, even with me.

I couldn't stop crying after that conversation.

Has anyone else felt this way? How do you stop oversharing without becoming emotionally closed off? And how do you deal with the feeling that your trust isn't being matched?

(23F ) Unable to process my feelings

I 23F in a relationship with 23M .we are bestfriends earlier and we talk on daily basis after 3 months he said he develop feelings for me .1st i denied that I don't feel the same for you romantically but later I agreed to give this thing a chance and let's date now we are in relationship I don't know do I say I love him or not ,Is there any measures that differentiate attachment and love?

I feel safe with him ,I share a comfort zone with him,he is very respectful towards me he is changing his habits that i generally don't like even I like talking to him ,i care for him ,I can't see him sad also if I am sad just talking to him makes me feel good .

Just my concern- is this emotional attachment from our sides and fades with tym ? Also before me he was into casuals with many girls but I was in one relationship ,so his high body count makes me feel insecure about his feelings he continuously assure me that he changed and had genuine feeling for me but in my subconscious mind it's never get off from my head that may be it's just an initial excitement.

I 23F ,confused about should I date 23 M who is ones my friend

I 23F,met to 23M through tinder and I am not looking for romantic relationships and hookups and he also ok with that then we started talking on deciding that we were on the same page that we are only friends.later after 4 months I saw his reddit post that he likes me and it was not from start .

Later we went on a trip and he confessed to me about his reddit post I don't know how to react to it as we were very good friends and I am emotionally close to him we share most of our secrets and always be honest . I feel I am not romantically inclined towards him so I said no .

Later he said he can't continue as frd and he want a break from friendship later we can continue that I don't know what feel me bad the fear of loosing my only male best frd so I said him that we can date to know about each other more on that perspective.

It's just two days after that and I don't know I am very confused about my feelings I don't know what I feel for him and also will I be able to feel for him romantically or not and if not then what if I feel that for someone else in future all is unfair for him how to analyse my feelings I have no idea .

childhood incidents that affecting your present situations

23 F ,I have been through a bad touch a lot of times in my childhood and that was too disgusting it was through my father too . I tried my best to oppose and prevent it from escalation . but it left a deep impact on my thoughts , on my mind it takes me 2,3 years to analyse the situation and come out of that phase , I started hating physical touch .Later , I have been in a relationship and that person becomes a safe place for me that helps me believe that maybe all men are not the same .some still respect you and your consent matters. The current situation is that I still have to face those people who totally filled my childhood with the worst memories and being around them still makes me uncomfortable but I can't do anything .

Many people suggested to me that I don't know to forgive people if I learned that my life may become easy but how can I forgive those who spoiled 20 years of my life . Because of them today also if I have trust issues I am unable to live my life fully the way I wanted to .

I always want to live my life in a way that If I ever look back in time I want to live it again but the situation is that now I never want that life that situation to ever come into my life again .

Share your thoughts on how to deal with these feelings and how to overcome that fear .

I know many people say that you can't change your past focus on your present and future and that's completely right but let me tell you I tried my best to do that .
