Saudia Airline experience
Hi, i just wanted to share my recent experience with Saudia!
1. Price
First off the ticket was literally ~40% cheaper than competitors (like Emirates, Qatar Airways, etc.), which is the main reason I booked it. For a long-haul route, that’s a huge difference.
2. My Problem
My original itinerary was:
Vienna → Jeddah
Jeddah → Dhaka
A few days after booking I got an email saying my Vienna → Jeddah flight was moved one day later.
Sounds fine… except my Jeddah → Dhaka flight stayed on the original date, meaning my connection became literally impossible.
So yeah, broken itinerary…
3. Trying to Fix It
The airline said I could rebook online which just didn’t work (error every time). I thought maybe i should try logging into my account, maybe that’s the issue. For that tho I needed an OTP sent to my phone which never arrived…
There was no proper support email I could find
Chatbot was completely useless
At this point it felt like I was just locked out of fixing my own ticket.
4. What Actually Worked
As a last resort, I started calling Saudia offices around the world. Took a few tries, but the Kuwait office picked up.
And honestly, completely different experience! They were so nice and helpful! They actually understood the issue immediately and fixed everything manually.
Since there were no available Saudia flights that fit, they ended up rebooking me on Emirates free of charge, which I definitely didn’t expect.
5. Final Thoughts
Pros:
- Very cheap tickets if you catch a good deal
- Once you reach a real human they are genuinely helpful
- They took responsibility and fixed the issue properly
6. Cons:
- Website + system can break easily
- Login/OTP issues are a nightmare
- Chatbot is useless
- Getting support can take effort
Overall
It’s kind of a “you get what you pay for” situation:
If everything works you get yourself an amazing deal.
If something goes wrong, it can be a hassle to fix, but in the end, they did make it right, so I’d still say overall a positive experience, just not a smooth one.
Curious if others had similar experiences with Saudia

Zdravíčko, v létě jedu pracovně do Asie.
Old VW DSG knob is very sexy to me.
Honourable mention (although a hand brake) is the one in Ford S Max.
Taking feedback from my previous XJ design i present to you it’s curvier, more athletic sibling, the S-Type!
Comes in variety of options for absolute personalisation. VAG has also finally ditched the “digital stage” dashboard screen as customers review it as an “overkill”
My 2008 Mk5 Golf wheel cap fell off and i’m looking for a cheap good looking set. Would this fit my regular steel wheel of the same diameter, or do i need a 5 spoke steelie?
Does anyone here have these? It’d be amazing if you sent me a pic!
