Hello!

I'm planning a medium Kubernetes cluster on Hetzner Cloud and I'm trying to figure out how the included outbound traffic works before I settle on the network design. Each EU cloud server comes with 20 TB of outbound traffic per month. What I can't figure out is whether that allowance is counted strictly per server, or pooled at the project level.

Concrete example: say I have 25 servers, and all internet egress goes through a single gateway server doing NAT over the private network. Does that gateway get capped at its own 20 TB, with anything above billed as overage even though the other 24 servers barely use theirs? Or do the allowances effectively add up since it's all in one project?

I looked through the docs and the billing FAQ but couldn't find a clear statement on this. Maybe I missed it, happy to be pointed at the right page!

Phainon and Aventurine’s backstories might take the cake for the worst pasts ever that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy, but Mydei’s was still horrifying in its own right. He was thrown into the Sea of Souls fresh out of the womb by his own severely mentally ill father, where he spent the next 9 years dying over ten THOUSAND times to various ailments, including but not limited to: drowning, starvation, hypothermia, chronic dehydration (since he didn’t have access to fresh water), getting eaten alive multiple times, dismemberment, food poisoning via eating sea monsters after he became desperate for food, and various other ways that a toddler can be killed by giant sea monsters (source: character story and AIW). While Mydei might not die permanently due to his immortality, he does still feel the pain every single time.

On that note, I really, REALLY wish more people talked about the fact that current adult Mydei struggles with severe aquaphobia (fear of water) because of his years in the Sea of Souls. Our poor baby :(

It was out of the fire and into the frying pan after he managed to crawl out of the Sea of Souls cause then he was made leader of a war campaign for a whole freaking decade where he underwent MORE unspeakable horrors, such as getting axed and arrow-ed to death by Klytius, getting burned alive in Aenionus, decapitation, and potentially drowning again in Aidonia’s bottomless swamp. On top of THAT he was forced to watch his adopted family that raised him die gruesome deaths one by one before spearing his own father through the HEART.

As if all that wasn’t bad enough, he faced extreme racism and xenophobia after immigrating to Okhema. An assassin literally tried to kill him on his first day in Okhema, and he’s been facing many more assassination attempts and hate crimes ever since. At this point Mydei has died thousands upon thousands of times during his lifetime, and he remembers every single one. To make matters even worse again, Amphoreus’ recurring cycles means that Mydei now has the memories of billions upon billions of deaths thanks to his immortality. Like jfc, Mydei has been through so much. The fact that he’s such a gentle, kind, and compassionate person after everything he’s been through is nothing short of a miracle. I love him so much.
