First flush was 8 grams total from these two jars. Not much but enough for me till I grow some more!
Question: I have sidepins that Im unable to get out of the jar. Will I still get a second flush or should I break the cake a little to remove em?
This is nothing special but Ill get a nice small personal stash from the first grow. Im enjoying small scale growing and might not even try monotubs at all. Some of the vales have broken already even tho the caps are still closed.
Yes I know, dumb mistake, but I learned from it and s2b two 3kg bags today. :) I just wanna know if ill get even somewhat nice fruits from the tubs meanwhile my bags colonize and fruit.
Hes been growing there since end of inoculation so its been already for 5-7 days and he hasnt grown much in the last couple days. Im suspecting its a abort. Should I remove it or keep it there till the flush is ready to harvest?
And how should I rehydrate my cake? I cant take it out of the jar since the opening is smaller than the cake. Somebody adviced me to inject my cake with water with a needle but I didnt find any info on that online.
Hi guys! I was wondering if these jars will get enough fae with these bags? I didnt cut any holes into them, I just left the ziplocks slightly open.
Should I mist the bags? The jars have some condensation but the bags have zero since I just put them on.
And what about this single shroom that already was growing with the lid closed. Will it grow like this, should I help it somehow or will it straighten by itself?
I didnt add any extra holes in the bag, just left the corners of the ziplock open, is this enoug fae? And should I mist the bag or should I let them be and see if they condensate by them selves? Thanks!
I love chantarelles and mushrooms in general. We foraged some with my fam and my gf this summer. I also started growing my own Pink oyster mushrooms, Its been very exciting. Only about two to three weeks left till theyre ready
So this is my first grow. Im planning to fruit these babys in vitro (inside the jars) and put plastic ziplock bags on top to create humidity. The problem or rather the question is should I introduce them to fruiting conditions now or should I wait till 100% colonized? If the latter, what will happen to the little baby pinning already and why is it pinning already? Thanks in advance for all the answers! Im so grateful for everyone being so supporting and helpful! I made the grain transfer two days ago and I came home to a lovely surprise. They all have started growing like crazy. My other jars are all nearing 100% colonization. Tomorrow Im going shopping for tubs etc!

The black thing in the second photo looks like a hole in the mycelium to me but im not sure. As for the first photo I dont have any clue if that is mycpiss or contam. Oh and its the same jar in both photos.

Hi guys. I inoculated two jars this morning with spores. When I was inoculating the second jar the needle couldnt reach through the vermiculite layer completely so I just injected into the vermiculite layer. Is that okay? Yesterday I had a small fuckup during making of my sporesyringe. Basically the sporewater spilled on my table so I had to try again this morning. The needle only touched the foil with the sporeprint. I flamed the needle between injections and used iso and a SAB. I’m not completely happy how everything went but lets see.
When will I see possible contam?

Can I store sterilized substrate jars waiting for inoculation?
Its my first time growing shrooms (except once when I grew normal oysters using a growkit) Yesterday I ordered my LC. I plan to inject the LC to ub rice bags and when the mycelium has fully taken over, would this waterbottle be good to transfer to? I would cut the top and put the bottle into a tub with a lid. Do yall have better suggestions? I dont have a pressure cooker so I plan to pausterize the substrate using bucket tekk.
