I passed my class 12th last year.
I have passing marksheet.
I gave improvement exam this year, and I have the admit card aswell as the marksheet (marksheet on digilocker) for this year.
DO I NEEEED the class 12th admitcard?
My parents made me fill HSTS counselling as a backup option.
Right now I CANNOT go for the physical reporting, so will have to wait for round 2.
just wanted to ask if THERE ARE SEATS LEFT IN YMCA FARIDABAD CSE IN HSTES ROUND 2. (my JEE score is more the sufficient=i have 99 percentile)
note: filling hstes only as a backup options ofc i am trying for other colleges aswell.
POST SUMMARIZED BY AI, cause aint no way i can explain all my doubts clearly to yall.
I have the option to choose either CSE or CSAI at NSUT.
I don't consider myself a naturally bright student. Compared to the average student at NSUT, I usually have to put in more effort to achieve the same grades.
I also take longer to understand traditional, bookish concepts. However, once I study a topic on my own or through online resources, I tend to understand the concepts very well.
Because of this, maintaining a good CGPA is one of my biggest priorities.
My current goals are:
I don't particularly enjoy AI as a field.
I believe AI is definitely here to stay, but I also think it's currently far more hyped than what it actually delivers. In my opinion, much of the hype is driven by AI companies to promote their products and increase their valuations.
That doesn't mean AI has no future—it certainly does—but I'm personally not passionate about specializing in it.
From what I've heard, CSE is relatively easier than CSAI because CSAI is significantly more mathematics-heavy.
Since I already need to work harder than average to score well, choosing the comparatively easier curriculum seems like the safer option.
Given my learning style, I feel CSE would be more manageable.
A lighter mathematical workload would allow me to spend more time strengthening my programming skills and preparing for placements instead of constantly struggling with coursework.
This is probably my biggest reason.
Choosing CSE allows me to explore different domains such as:
I don't want to feel like I'm locking myself into AI before I've even explored other areas of computer science.
My biggest concern is FOMO.
CSAI has one of the highest cutoffs at NSUT and is considered one of the most sought-after branches.
Seeing so many people prefer CSAI over CSE makes me wonder whether I'd be making a mistake by choosing CSE.
I also worry about the future. While nobody can accurately predict where technology will be 5–10 years from now, I still want to choose the option that gives me the best long-term opportunities.
Given everything above:
Should I choose CSE or CSAI at NSUT?
I'm looking for advice based on long-term career prospects, flexibility, academics, placements, and whether my current FOMO is actually justified.
Hey everyone,
I got 99 percentile in JEE Main and have OBC + Delhi quota. I want to take admission in NSUT Main Campus (CSE).
I couldn't register for JAC Delhi Round 1 because I was not meeting the Class 12 board eligibility criteria at that time. However, I had already applied for re-evaluation, and now I have cleared the boards criteria.
The issue is that I passed Class 12 last year (I am a dropper) and appeared for improvement exams this year in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
My Chemistry marks increased after improvement (I only prepared for Chemistry).
But my Physics and Mathematics marks are actually lower than last year's marks and also they failed my ass in phy for some reason🥀.
So my question is:
While registering for JAC Delhi Round 2, can I use the best marks from both mark sheets?
like:
Chemistry marks from this year's improvement result.
Physics and Mathematics marks from last year's mark sheet.
If I take the best score in each subject, I satisfy the board eligibility criteria.
Please do help me regarding this🙏
Thanks!
I have not decided yet what I want to pursue later on in life.
I just want a want a tech branch that keeps my options open for different fields like Data Science, Cybersecurity, etc in the future.
I don't want to commit my 4 years for just "AI"
My main question is: if I choose regular CSE without any specialization, will I be missing out on anything significant?
Is choosing CSAI really worth it over standard CSE? If the curriculum and opportunities are similar, then why does CSAI have a higher cutoff?
[copied post btw]
on WhatsApp.
I GOT 99.09%ILE, and have OBC Quota/Delhi Quota.
My dream college/branch is NSUT default CSE. i did NOT register for round 1 because of boards ineligibility, but now i am eligible since my re-evaluation results came as expected.
PLEASE TELL ME THAT I CAN GET DEFAULT CSE IN ROUND 2🙏
i passed 12th last year.
gave improvement exam in Physics, Chemistry and Maths this year.
got better marks in chem, BUT got worse marks in physics and maths then last year.
NOW IF I USE *THE BEST* MARKS {aka improved chem result of this year, and last years physics and maths result} I clear the cut-off for boards.
SO PLEASE HELP ME, IS THIS ALLOWED IN JAC DELHI COUNSELLING?
CAN I PUT BOTH OF MY 2 MARKSHEETS IN REGISTRATION, AND ENTER MY BEST RESULT SUBJECT WISE?
i am filling HSTES as a backup option and looking at placements of both these colleges, its nothing special really.
ymca has better average packages by like 1 lakh, so i was wondering that overall what college should i choose?
placements are not my main criteria
i want a college with brand value
good peer group/coding environment
good college life and holistic development.
please do help me out as i need to fill the choice filling soon...
A LOT of CBSE Class 12 students are currently waiting for re-evaluation results while counselling and admission processes are already underway or about to be closed soon.
i am one of those students. i got a good JEE rank but because of this years boards fiasco, I am unable to sit in JAC Delhi counselling and get admission into my dream college NSUT.
I know there are many more like me facing similar issues either for JAC or JoSSA.
For us, even a small increase in marks could mean the difference between: Meeting eligibility criteria or getting rejected.
I am devastated right now BUT sitting ideal should NEVER BE AN OPTION!
So to get this whole admission process fixed i have made a community.
