I want to use Danganronpa as my example since they use this trope quite a bit mainly with Junko and Class 77B. At one point Junko gained amnesia and developed a personality named Ryoko Otonashi a kind albeit ditzy girl who is horrified by the concept of violence. Class 77B was just a bunch of innocent teens who were brainwashed into becoming sadistic terrorists with them only returning to their previous selves through a virtual rehabilitation program. Now back to normal they own up to their crimes and live in self imposed exile but is that enough considering that they brought the apocalypse.

My take is Mikan strapped to a hospital bed while Monokuma begins cutting her open with rusty surgical tools and when he’s done begins to inject her with multiple viruses as she writhes in pain, boils appearing all over her body, her eyes and mouth oozing blood and pus as her skin begins to rot soon it starts falling from her body as her muscles and organs liquify a bloody puddle with only a skeleton and her clothes.

The way it’s supposed to go is that when it’s time for dinner around 7:00 we put Wally in her cage and put a sheet over the cage to let her know it’s time for beddy byes since whenever we have dinner she loves to walk about the table and all through our food but now whenever we try to get her to go to bed she’ll just keep flying around and landing on her perch or our heads. Even if she gets on our hand she just flies back to her perch. We’ve tried to sweeten the deal with sunflower seeds when she gets in since they’re her favourite but even that’s not enough. This night was weird where she started biting and snapping at us when we started trying to get her in the cage is she being a hormonal teen? And how can I convince her to go to bed?

Any character who doesn’t have the default skinny body type seems to die in this series it’s a pretty quick way to determine who’s going to be a survivor and who isn’t.
