What do you think was the best and worst aspect of Season 5?

Season 5 obviously got a very mixed response from people... What do you guys think was the best and worst overall aspect of it?

I'd say the best aspect of it the action scenes. To me the action scenes were some of the most intense and visceral stuff the show has done. Especially Episode 4. With the Demogorgons attacking, chasing Robin and Murray in the trucks and Lucas in the cave, that whole sequence was so insanely fun and I was convinced someone was gonna die... Yeah that's a whole conversation on it's own xD

To me the weakest aspect of it was, despite the action, it just felt like it was missing something the whole time. I dunno what it was but the magic spark that was in all four previous seasons just wasn't there.

Do you think you'll miss GTA V at all when GTA VI finally drops?

GTA V has been circulating for just about 13 years now, and when GTA VI drops, GTA V automatically becomes a 'Legacy Title'. Do you think you're gonna miss GTA V? I'm gonna say, and I assume most people feel like this... No. I'm not gonna miss it. It's been 13 years. I'm more than ready for GTA VI 😛

Watching the show for the first time, finished Season 1, wanted to leave some thoughts.

Looking for a new show to watch, as people tend to do, so, I went with The X-Files, mainly because people I know say that since I'm a big sci-fi fan I'd like it, and both my parents were huge fans of it in the 90s. When I told my dad I'm watching it he actually went into his closet and pulled out some VHS tapes for me that's he had for decades. So anyway, I watched all of Season 1, and... I'm really digging it so far! I'm going to assume 100% of people here have watched the entire show but... SPOILERS in case anyone hasn't...

I will say I do know some stuff. I know Scully is absent for some time in Season 2 cause of Gillian Anderson's pregnancy, I know Scully gets cancer at some point, I know that Mulder isn't in most of Seasons 8 and 9 and replaced by Robert Patrick, which I'm torn on because the idea of watching this show without Mulder sounds wrong but I've always loved Robert Patrick... And I know that most people seem to hate the two reboot seasons. Anyway...

To me, my favorite thing about the show so far is by far the Mulder and Scully dynamic. Just the two of them bouncing off of each other with Mulder believing the first possible sign of supernatural-ness and Scully having to put up with him but having his back the whole time is just so fun to watch. Two of my favorite moments are in 'Fallen Angel' when Mulder got captured by the military and Scully walked into the tent but clearly judging him so hard, and then in 'Tooms' when Mulder was going off on how Tooms was a supernatural creature to the court and Scully was in the back like 'Dude are you serious'. Also just the whole overarching conspiracy with the aliens is so intriguing and I can't wait to see where it goes. Deep Throat getting killed really shocked me.

I will say I like most of the Monster of the Week episodes but some of them ranged from Meh to straight up bad. I will say the weakest episodes of Season 1 to me were 'The Jersey Devil', 'Space', 'Eve', and 'Fire'. I think the best episodes were the pilot, 'Conduit', 'Fallen Angel', 'Beyond the Sea', and 'Tooms'.

But anyway, that's my thoughts on Season 1 so far. I'll probably post on here again in however long it takes after I finished the entire series and two movies and give my full thoughts 😄

Honest Opinion: The fact that Avengers: Doomsday will NOT be in IMAX has made me lose a lot of excitement for it.

What are your expectations for GTA VI Online?

I feel cautiously optimistic for GTA VI Online. I had a lot of fun with GTA V Online in the first couple years but eventually it got way too chaotic and convoluted for me. What are your expectations for GTA VI? First of all, I do hope the Create-A-Character is better. Both my GTA Online and Red Dead Online characters are so damn ugly. And I hope the game feels like a strong sort of narrative to it where you start as a low level criminal maybe even in the middle of nowhere parts of the map and eventually after grinding you become a millionaire crimelord, but in a way that feels less batshit insane like GTA V Online does. I get these are obvious things though. I'm curious to see what other people say.

What are some settings ideas you have for future Resident Evil games?

We've had creepy mansions, creepy hospital, creepy cities, creepy villages... What are some settings you'd like to see in RE? I'd love a full, proper desert game. I know RE5 had a little bit of a desert vibe, but a proper desert style RE game would be super cool I think. I also think a Resident Evil game set in Alaska would be really cool.

AITAH for not wanting to babysit my sick niece when I have plans this weekend and the next that I've been planning for months?

I (27M) live away from my parents but work from home independently, and live relatively close to my parents. I have a six y.o. niece that somehow seems to sick every couple months. Now she has a fever and a bad cough. I've gotten sick from being around her before. I have plans this weekend and the next that I've been planning and looking forward to for months and spent money on. But now my parents are calling me saying I need to babysit my six y.o. niece tomorrow morning for multiple hours because they, my parents, and my niece's parents, have in-person jobs they have to do and nobody else can watch her. I told them about the plans I've had that I've spent money on and been looking forward to for months and they dropped me with, "How can you be so selfish?"

I mean, I get it, they have in-person jobs, I don't, my niece didn't ask to be sick, but, I really hate the idea of getting sick and missing these things because of being forced to watch a sick niece with a fever. And, I'm gonna be honest... I love my niece, I really do, but I never asked to be an uncle. And I don't want to be a parent. I don't want to have the responsibility of watching a kid, which is what they're forcing on me. I'm an adult now. I mean, I get that I'm the closest and easiest person to watch her, but this is just a really annoying situation for me.

Am I being selfish? Am I the asshole?

My favorite moment in Season 5 was everyone vs. the bullies in the hallway

That was just such a cool moment cause it showed how far everyone had come and how they went from probably spending their whole lives to being terrified of bullies and staying away to straight up confronting them, daring them to a challenge, and showing how unafraid they had become of them. Just such a great scene. The best in all of Season 5 besides probably the Sorcerer ending.

Joseph Gordon Levitt is making an anti-AI movie that will be about how AI 'harms' creativity.

I saw another tweet about this that said apparently the film will directly be about AI 'harms creative labors'. So stupid that now Hollywood is making full movies about being antis. I mean... I like Joseph Gordon Levitt in general, I like Jeff Daniels, I like Joel Edgerton, I like Caleb McLaughlin, but this whole thing is just antis being antis.
