What is something popular among law enforcement but not among civilians that you think should be popular among civilians?
I thought of this when I (in my very limited experience by being in a police youth cadet program) ended up falling in love with the MOLLE webbing system and using it in things as both a civilian and as a police youth cadet.
But I almost never see any other never see anyone that isn’t in the military or some form of law enforcement agency using stuff with MOLLE webbing.
While I understand it’s not for everyone as it is more expensive to have items that come with MOLLE comparability than ones without, I cannot fathom why so few civilians don’t use it.
And then I thought there might be other things that people a lot deeper in the law enforcement rabbithole than I am can enlighten me on other cool things cops use and/or like that I should check out.
(Or others reading this thread as not everything every law enforcement agent I know of did, or had was something I was interested in)
blueberry is now the canon nickname for the seaf troopers
My ranking of the 57 precepts of Zote in terms of how good of advice they are
Was digging through my wii message board and found something incredibly wholesome
A long time ago my father bought me super mario galaxy for Christmas circa the mid 2010s.
Since most wii games (certainly the older ones from the first half of the systems life) had every physical copy of the game already produced and in the used market, my father had to buy mario galaxy used.
And my father has historically never trusted secondhand sellers too much. And I discovered that the for some reason my wii’s first recorded playing of mario galaxy was a few days before when it should’ve been (on Christmas)
Which can only mean one thing.
My father tested the game for me before he gave it to me and I only found out (presumably) long after my father forgot about it.
My insane theory surrounding zote’s origins in hollow knight
I think he was also a creation of the Pale King and the white Lady in their attempts to defeat the infection similar to the vessels.
Only he was meant to confuse the radiance.
Since he kinda resembles the vessels, letting him loose on hollownest (and taking over an extremely powerful presence in the dream realm thanks to bretta which the knight doesn’t spend much time in outside of the godhome dlc but by the time you get there its only a little bit of in game time to kill the radiance unless you suck at the game like I do)
with him being much more memorable than the vessels because he has emotions and talks, the vessels have. Not to mention the ability to speak. This allows for the vessels to do their work without being hunted by the infected under the radiance’s control.
Zote being much easier to track and similar in appearance to the vessels explains why the Radiance doesn’t just send all his guys to the Knight in like the crystal peaks or something. And instead has them on patrols in the infected controlled territory.
As Zote in his narcissistic ways keeps talking the talk as the knight walks the walk (or gets their ass kicked if I’m playing as them) the radiance must spread their forces out further as there are two potential threats.
Sure we know that Zote is a pushover at best, but the radiance doesn’t know that. Making with the Radiance’s current knowledge by the time that infected first make contact with the knight (or possibly Zote as we don’t see him until later on in the game) the smarter tactical decision not knowing that Zote is full of shit.
Was trying to get an image of Jerry Attricks and google’s ai overview doesn’t know what the hell he is
What would you like to see in a hypothetical remaster of Batman Arkham origins remaster or remake? Besides the game being on modern systems a shitload and rendering in higher resolutions of bug fixes and all the dlc included from the get go?)
(disclaimer the original version of Arkham Origins is still a great game)
Personally I think that the game needs to get its graphical quality of the in game to match that of the pre rendered cutscenes.
As those were easily the coolest cutscenes I've seen in any game and my main problem with the is that you can tell which cutscenes are pre rendered and which ones are in game.
Also while return to Arkham's graphical changes to asylum and city sucked and ruined the art style of the those games. (except for finally giving Asylum rain outside of cutscenes and the medical faculty I liked that change but on pc mods can do that for me.). That was only because the art styles of those games didn't need any work to still look good.
Meanwhile Arkham origins just doesn't look up to snuff with the other games in the series or 7th generation games in general so there is a lot more to gain and a lot less to loose by changing a few things visually.
Another thing I would like to see is making it so that enemies respawn in the interiors of dungons you've already beaten like in city and shadow as this solves the dark knight system's bullshit and also make the upgrade system more like the other games (by not sucking)
My ranking of Batman Arkham Gadgets ranked by how cool it would be for me to own it irl.
Gadgets with irl counterparts like the shock gloves are ranked based on their real counterparts. Ones that don’t have irl counterparts are ranked based on how it works in game. Based on the most advanced versions of the gadget
What kind of guns good are for training beginners?
I’ve recently finally gotten old enough to own firearms in my jurisdiction. And while I live in a jurisdiction that requires taking a training course in order to have a license to own guns (and through a youth police cadet program I’ve had training in gun safety and cqb via blueguns). But given that its only a one day course (And the cadets stuff hasn’t done anything with firing guns because they are just pieces of plastic) I don’t trust it will be nearly enough to have be get to a skill level I can be comfortable trusting my life (and worst case scenario possibly others) in those skills for the stuff a bluegun just can’t replicate .
Over the years since I got into learning about guns I developed a list of guns that I were both legal for me to own and (in my opinion) would be pretty cool to own and are also flat out really effective guns.
However i’m not entirely sure which one I should go for first and train a bunch on.
Obviously the ones with higher recoil are off the table but I don’t know which one I should go for of the non no brainer bad ideas for beginners.
I would be very happy if I were to get recommendations on what kind of firearms I should start with.
Also an explanation of why its a good for beginners would be great.
Who knows maybe there is a type of gun I never thought of that is apparently the messiah of teaching noobs how to shoot guns good.
A rant about missinfromation around heavy’s minigun pricing on the wiki
This bullet point that tries to make valve look like lazy bastards that didn’t do math completely ignores the fact that there are many other expenses related to firing a minigun such as sasha besides bullets
- Electricity for the spinning mechanism (while not nearly enough to make up the difference we can just chalk it up to strange economic conditions that caused electric bills to be crazy)
- Lubricant to ensure all of the gun’s moving parts move smoothly (which minigun’s need a lot of them which still doesn’t make up the difference but bad market conditions are a factor)
Anton pls for h3vr2 add gloves that affect gameplay like this one with a pictany rail I my dad got me for my birthday last week
Has anyone found a place in real life laided out like a predator room from the Arkham games?
reddit.comIf the EU Parliament were to pass legislation that meets the demands of out movement would it affect American gamers?
I've been very conflicted on this topic ever since it was accounted that getting the EU Parliament to make a law was the plan.
Now after several years and it looking increasingly likely the EU parliament will make legislation in our favor (contrary to the commission's wishes but idk how that works because I don't know much about EU law in general.
But what I do know is that previous laws (such as the apple usb c law) in the EU have affected American Consumers via making the companies do the one thing compliant with the EU instead of different ones for different countries.
But I want to know whether or not it is likely for this law to do the same because idk much about EU law.
