This August will be 2 years at my current job. I work 10-7 and that shift sucks a whole lot. So last week I was told I have seniority (the 2 other people on the team have been here less than a year) and could have the 7-4 shift. Great! I was like yes absolutely id love it. They were gonna offer that shift to the girl whose been there less than a year, then i guess they remembered I existed. Got a call today and they said they did give that shift to the other girl, and ordered me 8:30-5:30. So I have to wake up at 6:30 am to make the drive to work to be there at 8:30. Don't get off till 5:30 and I have a ton of traffic so itll be 6:30-7:00 before I get home. So not only is it the worst shift for me, but they promised me the 7-4 shift and gave it to the other girl anyways. Even though I am reliable and I have been here longer and... I ALWAYS volunteer when they ask to cover a shift, need somebody to work a holiday etc. What a slap in the face.

I think im gonna rehome my chahoua. Im not sure where I went wrong but mine was sweet, chill and all when I brought her home. About 2 weeks after she started hiding from me in her tank. Wont let me hold her. Tries to bite sometimes. I am not meant to have a pet chahoua I think. Anybody know where a good rehome site is?

Hey all, im bringing home my first beardie today. I have experience with geckos so im not totally new to reptiles. What are some good tips for when we get home? Should I leave him in his enclosure to destress for a few days? All info and tips appreciated.

*sigh* I feel like im struggling as a chahoua keeper. She was friendly and sweet but I couldn't get her to eat any bugs. I got her out the other day to try a bug cut in half and she ate it down, woo hoo finally! But now she seems terrified of me. She hides all day and if she sees me she runs. :( what should I do to gain her trust back? Ive since left her alone and only refresh her food and water and mist her enclosure.

I got my chahoua on May 21st. I can not get them to eat bugs. They love the repashy and pangea but bugs nope. Ive tried crickets, meal worms and dubia roaches. Nothing. Won't eat them. Im worried they arent getting what they need nutritionally and its worrying me. Am I over reacting? Any tips? Ty

I keep seeing beardies for sale on the local fb marketplace for cheap in what looks like not great set ups. Ive been wanting a beardie, and I love animals and it breaks my heart to see these poor babies in rough conditions and shape.

So i know I can afford to take care of a beardie. My questions are 1. How much time do they need outside of their tank each day?

2. Everything ive found says they eat a ton. Like 20-30 crickets 3 times a day plus greens once a day. Is this correct?

3. I have leos and a chahoua geckos so im familiar with reptile care, I have vitamins and calcium powder, do they need the vitamins and calcium every day?

Please throw any other tips etc my way. Id love to give a neglected fb marketplace beardie a good home.

So ive been on Levothyroxin and alls been well until about 2-3 weeks ago. My muscle fatigue/weakness is bad, tremors in hands, hair loss picking back up, gut issues, sleeplessness, joint aches, depression and anxiety up and down. I hate seeing my dr about this cause she wont do a full panel so idk if my levels will truly be off or not.

So i was holding my lil friend earlier and he pooped on me. I read somewhere that it's a response to stress. Should I not handle him for a couple weeks? I'm new to these lil ones.
