Yall I’m obsessed isopods are so adorable!
Definitely wanting to get more at some point! Any other species that are super visible and good for beginners?

So I got a gen three tamagotchi yesterday but then I realized I won’t be able to take it with me to work. Apparently the uni has a free babysitter feature and the ability to turn it off which is prefect for me. But it only seems to be sold on Amazon? Are there no new ones anymore? Would the paradise be another good option? The babysitter doesn’t seem free though. Thanks!
Baked on right unbaked on left. The same spice grinder was used for both of them. The unbaked ones are for plants. Absolutely massive difference! The baked is way more of a powder. For reference I baked the eggshells at 350F for 15 mins.
So the isopods and springtails finally arrived! Unfortunately I am completely missing my powder orange isopods they weren’t in the box at all. But I did get the Zebras, gestroils and springtails all arrived safe and sound! No DOAs either I think minus one springtail despite the 80 to 90F temperature this week and the post office completely ignoring the hold at office sticker and shipping to my house.
Minus the missing pods I’m glad everything else arrived safety. I ordered from TC insects on eBay I’m hoping they will send me the powder oranges too as those are the main ones I am using for a clean up crew and I already have everything set for them.
For now I only have to add some ventilation. I needed some assistance drilling a hole to fit a washer but I didn’t want to leave them in the deil cup any longer they felt warm for sure. When I drill a hole I’ll cover them with some paper towel and double check the soil to make sure no plastic parts get inside. And tomorrow I’ll cook some eggs to add some eggshells and we should be all set!
Also omg I forgot how freaking adorable they are!! They are so little and tiny! I’m afraid this will become an addiction lol but I’m excited for my isopods also the springtails are super cute too!
Ordered this shelf from Amazon it’s the Sakugi storage shelf’s and it fits well I guess six I only have two at the moment 6.5 quart containers really well! Assembly was beyond easy too.
Hello! So this is my setup so far for one container. I only have about two inches of soil as I ran out of the creature soil. Is this enough? If so then I can do another bin which is great. I have a mix of sphagum moss, charcoal and the leaves. I plan to add eggshell for calcium and I ordered vents and will drill in some vent holes.
Basically as the title says I’m baking the leaves at 200F for 30 mins. As I was going through my collected bag I found some live ants. Will the oven be enough to kill them off? Thanks!
For reference I’m a beginner! I’ve raised powdered oranges before though so not a total beginner unfortunately they died due to having gone away and the pet sitter forgetting about them so they obviously dried out… But I just ordered some more of them for my geckos tank, and I got some zebras and gestrols as pets! Getting back into the hobby after a long time away. Not my pictures just ones I got from google. Anyways any care tips/ experiences with these specific morphs??? Also feel free to post your colonies of these guys! I’ll continue to update with my setup process and once I get them of course!
For reference I was steaming my couch with a very hot steamer since it obviously can’t be cleaned the traditional way. And I found this guy hanging out of it obviously very dead.. any idea what it might be? Located in NY.
Just competed the Japanese maple tree! And it came out pretty good! Super repetitive build but I’m odd and like repetitive builds. Now onto the great wave!
Basically as the title says I currently have my ally x dual booted with bazzite and I love it! Just wondering if down the line the Xbox rog ally x is worth the upgrade? Thanks yall!
