Okay, so I'll start of by saying that this post inspired me to make this, I am not good at game design, a lot of this is just me spitballing ideas.
The MEX4, or Maris ExoSuit (not the final name but MEX sounds cool asf go on sue me) would be a vehicle (shaped like a person, but functionally its a vehicle) that can be carried by the Ibis or Tarantula, and usually come in duos and are deployed as such. There is an AT and an ART variant.
Normally, the MEX4 is an exosuit that carries a large cannon on them, either artillery or anti-tank. They can move at 50 km/h which is slower than most vehicles, but their slim frame makes them significantly more difficult to hit. They weigh around a 1 ton and have 60 armor, the AT version costs $4 million, and the artillery variant costing $9 million. Price might have to be adjusted, from my research it should've been significantly cheaper but those specs would make it cheaper than a Hexhound.
While I do not really know damage calculations and whatnot, I do know that the Exosuit would be a bit of a glass cannon. It would be capable of firing artillery and moving around to keep it's location messy, and it could fire AT cannons to take out low armor convoys or even a tank that is alone. However, the exosuit becomes basically useless in extremely open areas and when put up against large convoys, making it smart to deploy them on the edges of the map where they can pick off enemies from the sidelines.
I surmise they would do extremely well in urban focused combat, moving between buildings and still delivering accurate shots and being extremely difficult to hit, which i was hoping to include in it's lore. Most likely, the Exosuit would be heavily deployed on Ignus rather than Heartland, specifically storming Feldspar to keep the other side from getting too deeply ingrained in the downtown area.
ENCYCLOPEDIA
The MEX4 is an armored exosuit designed for mobility and nimbleness, offering both ART or AT configurations that allow it to pick off stray vehicles. It is able to perform recon and is fully air transportable, with 4 fitting in a Tarantula and 2 in an Ibis.
LORE
The MEX program was a Boscali run competition in 2068 between several emerging robotics companies to see if a armored suit could be created to defend large metropolitan areas and engage in ambush attacks while being nimble enough to make it over terrain and areas that had been heavily bombed or suffered nuclear fallout. The earliest versions of the MEX platform were primarily logistics handlers, with the fourth version being the first fully suited for combat, directly solving issues where automation failed us.
Can somebody tell me why entire teams are getting disqualified because one person accidentally revived? You know exactly who it was, yet the whole team gets punished.
I know this is a first for everybody running the event, but it feels so horribly organized. Calling people idiots on stream for somebody else in their team having issues is crazy, and as somebody who actually participated, it's kind of annoying to see several people lose their shit in vc because several members died due to bugs and were softlocked so they cannot even be revived.
Even the person who was called up to speak in the stream admitted that communication was extremely difficult and a majority of the team died to bugs and Soul refused to acknowledge it. I understand, look, its difficult to run events like this, but it's no excuse to refuse to admit that there were issues and be extremely rude to people who played in it.
for context i said it was justified for somebody to get doxxed because they drove somebody to attempt suicide and ruined their family
mods feel free to remove this lowk it isnt the most related to the game but I figured it might make some sense to give an update
So, we got back together because that was really the first red flag or major issue I had ever had with them up until this point, but guess what? After a few days of them being cold as hell towards me, I finally broke and asked them why they were acting like they didn't love me anymore, and as it turns out, they didn't.
For EIGHT fucking months, through their birthday, all the events we did together, through our anniversiary, they never actually loved me romantically and were literally pretending to love me. After all the drama, after me getting stalked at the start of the summer and the fit they blamed on me again, they just stopped feeling like it was worth pretending dawg they arent even a jjk fan and theyre fucking LARPING LOVE WHAT ARE WE ON ANYMORE
so yea we officially broke up two days before my birthday while I was at a convention and maybe jjs helped me dodge a bullet maybe it didnt why am i even talking about this lmfaoooo and it turns out they were friends with pedos so yeah red flags galore
I want to remake the homophobic noelle joke but it's her full weird route CHP5 speech
im not actually looking for help i just wanted to announce that this game has officially been cited for a real life relationship breakup
i main yuta & reggie btw
edit: this post kinda blew up so before yall start saying red flags my ex is a wonderful person and the only issue we've ever had is that they overreact sometimes, but the breakup was primarily due to strain on both of our mental states from other drama and bullshit we've had to deal with so we decided to take a break but we're still best friends i just found this funny as hell and wanted to share
edit 2: we got back together shortest breakup ever ❤️
Considering finally modding the game
The amount of times I've seen people screenshot stuff from obvious shitposting subs or from subs where it's disclosed that the posts are fake is absurd. Is this subreddit just a glorified karma farm atp where we just cut out context?
Screenshot included is entirely unrelated I just had nothing else to add lmfao
inshallah let this blow up i spent too long rendering the first image
Ooooh my gooood i love them so MUUUCH they're so adorable and cute and I kind of wish I had a kogane irl
Workshop has changed so much since I last played, I have no idea what's broken, what works, that to use. Any modlist reccomendations would be wonderful!
Name: Kadame Moriyama
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Sorcerer Grade: 2 or Special Grade depending on how you look at it
Appearance:
Kadame stands at 5 '8 and on an initial inspection, resembles a Human. He wears a baggy white high-collared jacket with long black sleeves and thick gloves, paired with slender black pants tucked into dark boots. He wears a soft hood over his head and wears a white, featureless mask with Talisman strips covering part of the mask's left side. Overall, his entire identity is obscured.
Underneath, he resembles more an anthropomorphic spider. He has a second set of arms that are crossed behind his back most of the time and his skin is covered in a soft, brown fur with black patches, similar to a Hainan Earth Tiger Spider. There are bits of keratin plates around the limbs and chest, armoring parts of the body where important organs lie, except for the stomach. The face, like the rest of the body, is covered in brown fuzzy fur, with four brown eyes marking the middle of the face. Next to the mouth are two mandibles that don’t really function well, and are mostly for looks. Teeth sharp asf that dawg does bite
Backstory:
Kadame was born in the Hokkaido Prefecture in 1998, his father being the retired sorcerer Masaru Moriyama, who was known as a magnificent hunter and known for his forest related techniques. When Kadame was 3, his mother gave birth to his sister before their parents separated and Kadame’s father separated him and brought him to Sapporo, and later Tokyo. From a young age, it became clear that Kadame had inherited his father’s cursed techniques and it is believed that Kadame’s father separated him from his sister so he could eventually put him into Jujitsu High when he turned 16. He went through public school mostly as an outcast, taking a liking to gardening and boxing, but never developed any close connections and was bullied quite a bit.
Yet, he never let it get to him. At the end of the day, he didn’t care. He didn’t care what others thought, if he had friends or not, if his girlfriend dumped him for another man, he was just himself. When he joined Jujitsu High he quickly proved himself to have good control over the basics of cursed energy, but struggled with learning more complex techniques. Unfortunately, in his first year both of his peers died. He was joined later by another student but after an incident regarding a special grade curse that had ambushed them and killed another sorcerer, he became a recluse. Masaru came back from early retirement after that to work on other missions as Jujitsu High struggled to get enough sorcerers to handle a recent influx of curses.
Then, during Kadame’s third year, Masaru went on a high priority mission to southwest China, to handle a curse user in Shenzhen that had supposedly been creating curse wombs and experimenting with developing curses outside of Japan. Masaru destroyed every single curse womb except for two, one being encased in a capsule and the other being released by the curse user before Masaru killed them. The resulting Special Grade Curse killed Masaru and 18 civilians in what was relayed to the public and covered up as an earthquake
Kadame was furious at the death of his father. He blamed the Jujitsu Government for allowing a singular Sorcerer to go up against a Special Grade Curse and blamed them for each and every death. He robbed the school of several expensive artifacts before escaping and selling them at a dark auction. From there, he used the funds to narrowly avoid sorcerers attempting to retrieve the objects and bring him back to Jujitsu High, and he was sentenced to imprisonment for his crimes.
Kadame made it onto a flight to China and made it to Shenzhen and snuck into the disaster zone where he found the final curse womb, and he turned it into a capsule attached to a necklace tied around his neck. At the same time, two Grade 2 Sorcerers ambushed him. With nothing to lose, Kadame engaged them in combat and killed one of them and injured the other, but suffered heavy injuries as a result. By Jujitsu Law, Jujitsu High Third-Year Kadame Moriyama was sentenced to death. He stumbled through the alleys of Shenzen, before being confronted by a Grade 1 Sorcerer that engaged Kadame in a direct domain clash.
Kadame lost, and was reduced to a near pulp in the wreckage of an abandoned restaurant. As a desperate, last resort, Kadame consumed the curse womb inside the necklace, fusing it with his body while burning out his technique completely to form an incomplete domain to allow it’s transfiguration abilities to heal part of him and reform him. And for six minutes and fourteen seconds, Kadame lost all consciousness.
When he awoke, his soul and physical body had been permanently transfigured by the Semi-First Grade Curse that he had consumed. By Jujitsu Law, he was now considered a Curse and must be exercised. At his feet, lay the mangled and sliced corpse of the Sorcerer that had attempted to execute them. From that time onwards, Kadame was now on the list of direct Jujitsu enemies.
Over the next year, he would attempt suicide multiple times, each of which would fail due to the durability of his new form and because the half-formed curse inside of him would attempt to take over his body. Despite both hating each other, Kadame found it rather easy to keep the curse in check by threatening to take his own life, again, and again. More than anything, the curse feared death. Eventually, Kadame started to come to terms with his reality before realizing that his family may be targeted for his own sins.
He would perform mercenary work all around southern China before saving up enough money to sneak back into Japan, performing work underneath the nose of Jujitsu High. He knew his family were somewhere in eastern Japan and neither of them had any connection to sorcerers, but their actual location and status was unknown to him. Yet, with really nothing left to lose, he set out to try and find them.
Abilities:
Upon entering combat against a target, they will usually use a rifle, katana, or short axe to defeat their foe. Their abilities are as follows.
Cursed Technique: Mark of Man
The sorcerer will slice open their palm and press it against their target, imprinting a mark on their soul only visible to the sorcerer. This mark can be applied to several targets, but each time the mark is placed it puts more and more stress onto the brain, with a normal maximum of 3 marks. 5 causes significant migraines and 6 can cause damage. The sorcerer can then activate the marks all at once, or individually, to reveal the exact location, outline, and status of each marked individual. When used on other sorcerers or weak curse users, this will also provide an explanation of the basic gist of their technique.
Cursed Technique: Grave of Stag
The sorcerer will chant the words "open" and ensure both hands are empty before extending them outwards, allowing a green bow of pure energy to form within their grasp that they will draw back, before firing. Three arrows will be launched that can pierce the hearts of marked targets, slicing through them before causing thorny roots to explode through the insides of their body, feeding off of cursed energy and tearing them apart from within. Extremely difficult to heal with reverse cursed energy. Grave of Stag only functions inside of the domain, or on a target that has been hit with Mark of Man exactly three times consecutively.
Reverse Cursed Technique: Eternal Hunt
The sorcerer's body will shift to move extremely fast, and the hands can sometimes form into claws as all senses are improved, allowing them to stalk marked targets and ambush them with lethal melee attacks. This burns quickly through cursed energy and can be turned on and off very quickly, allowing for the sorcerer to switch fighting styles mid-duel or temporarily give themselves a surprise advantage. Their ability to process information in this mode is rather dulled, so it's advised to only use it if you are certain of your target's capabilities.
Reverse Cursed Technique: Eldritch Hunger
The sorcerer will expend an absurd amount of cursed energy to warp their own body, causing them to transform as roots wrap around their body and malform its shape, the head turning into a cracked deer skull as the body begins to resemble an entity known as a Wendigo. After that, the Wendigo will begin to hunt. The technique will stay active for exactly 6 minutes and 14 seconds, the amount of time it takes for the standard Human body to reject a direct skin graft. Anybody hit by the Wendigo will automatically have Mark of Man inflicted, and viewing the Wendigo will cause intense feelings of anxiety, and possible mental degradation depending on how long exposure is.
BInding Vow: Identity Obfuscation
While the white mask is on their face and approximately 90% of their physical body is not visible from the outside, Kadame’s curse section of their soul will be temporarily blocked, giving up all Spider techniques and reverting their physical interpretation of their own body to make their brain believe they are Human again.
However, while the mask or large sums of their body, primarily their torso, are exposed, they will be able to access the techniques granted to them by the Curse residing within their soul. Utilizing these techniques causes their consciousness to waver and the Curse to attempt to take control of their body, however Kadame usually avoids using these techniques even when they are available to reduce risk of the Curse taking control of his body.
Cursed Technique: Phantom Threads
This technique allows the user to manipulate thin threads of cursed energy. They can use these threads for a variety of purposes, such as retraining opponents, slicing through objects with precision, or even controlling inanimate objects remotely. The threads are basically impossible to see unless they are being used against a Window, a Curse, or a Sorcerer. However, they are still very useful for stealth thanks to how quiet they are.
Cursed Technique: Thread of illusions
This technique allows the user to create elaborate illusions by weaving threads of cursed energy into complex, lifelike projections. These illusions can simulate real world scenarios, deceive the senses, and mislead opponents into making mistakes. The user can manipulate these illusions in real time, making them dynamic and responsive to battlefield conditions. However, they are never properly perfect and entirely rely on their own interpretation of events.
Reverse Cursed technique: Ethereal Weave
This technique reverses the effects of the phantom threads of the phantom threads by creating an ethereal barrier that nullifies and repels cursed energy. It can also be used to untangle or sever any threads the user has created, essentially “weaving” back into nonexistence. It’s particularly useful against attacks purely made of cursed energy.
Reverse Cursed Technique Reversal: Silk of Life
Instead of casting the standard eternal weave, the user will create white threads that when tied around a body in a similar way to stitches, quickly heal them and repair severe injuries. Simple as that, but requires more time than standard Reverse Curse Healing.
Domain Expansion: Sorrowful Society
Upon constructing the domain, a black void will encase the user and everybody caught inside the domain. Old traffic lights, light poles, and electrical poles will rise from the void as silk weaves itself together and covers the ground. All individuals inside of the domain will be tied to the sky with strings like puppets. These strings are easy to snap or cut, but once freed, a venomous blade will descend and find itself in the grasp of the user, who will use it to quickly assault those who have cut their strings, with each hit entirely guaranteed as a part of the domain. After being used, the technique will be completely burnt out for an hour.
