A Wild Variety appears! (New Arrivals)

Connie Price & the Keystones - Wildflowers (I've wanted this album ever since hearing the track "Sucker Punch" on the soundtrack for the film "London", starring Chris Evans, Jason Statham, and Jessica Biel. Some day, I may even watch that movie.)

"Sucker Punch": https://youtu.be/hDkZViKqB7w?si=GkD4wsr1EPNgj7fG

Yttling Jazz - Illegal Hit (Moody noir jazz from Sweden)

Gábor Szabó - Dreams (Mellow Eastern European-tinged guitar jazz; This is now the best album art in my collection of ~200 LPs)

Full album: https://youtu.be/gr0XWmEbiMQ?si=B6Qmk0CW7txI1djH

These are 3 VERY different-sounding albums! 🤣 Who's got opinions?

this is a decellularized ghost heart where scientists completely wash away all the blood and living cells leaving only the pure white protein scaffold so they can inject it with new stem cells to grow a custom organ

Last fall, Björn from Swedish indie band Peter Bjorn and John released an album of Crime/Noir Jazz under the name "Yttling Jazz". And it's pretty good.

Yep- just like that one Peter Björn and John song you know ("Young Folks"), this track also features whistling. But I believe it's the only track that does.

One other note, if you are starting the album from the top: the first track "Sodon the Mountain Man" starts with a little freakout that's kinda harsh on the ears, but this is not at all representative of the rest of the album. When I started it, I was 😬, but then it smooths out.

It evokes images of trenchcoat and fedora wearing gangsters prowling dark, wet, city alleyways. Probably an excellent soundtrack to a video game like "L.A. Noire", or even GTA.

My friends dog was puking and wasn't pooping for weeks. She also wasn't eating food or drinking water on it's own. The poor pup looked like a skeleton and was very close to death. Last weekend my friend was giving the dog mineral oil and feeding it with a syringe, and with some help from the vet the dog finally passed this thing in the picture. My friend says it feels like rubber. Does anybody know what this thing could be?
