Found on Bernal Hill in San Francisco, CA. It was moving very quickly and was pretty small, maybe a half inch long. Anyone know what it is?

A couple of my Boophones. First is haemanthoides, second is disticha. The disticha looks like it may be ready to take a nap but the haemanthoides just woke up a month or so ago.

Fall and winter bulbs are about to wake up here in Northern California. A friend just sent this photo is a remarkably orange Calochortus luteus that I had to share. These are usually bright yellow.
