Let's build this together: How would you redesign the main menu for my indie game, Woodbound?

Hey everyone! I’m looking to get the community involved in designing the main menu for my game, Woodbound.

What would you change about this current setup? Whether you have feedback to improve the layout or want to create custom art concepts for a completely new design, I’d love to see your ideas and hear what you think!

Evolving from "Unknown's Shadow" to "Woodbound"!

Hey everyone,

I'm sharing a major update on my psychological horror adventure game. While the project was originally inspired by Over the Garden Wall, I’ve decided to pivot and expand it into an entirely original universe and story.

To reflect this creative shift, the game is officially changing its name from Unknown’s Shadow to Woodbound.

Woodbound focuses on surviving a dark, mysterious forest where players must navigate deception, rich lore, and deep atmospheric horror. Building an original world gives me the freedom to craft unique gameplay mechanics without any boundaries.

If you were interested in the early concept, thank you for the support. Follow my account to stay updated on Woodbound as development continues!

Need name ideas for my Over the Garden Wall inspired game! (Currently called "Unknown's Shadow")

My current working title is "Unknown's Shadow" but I want something better. It's a psychological horror adventure. Give me your best name ideas that fit that eerie, mysterious OTGW vibe!

worth paying Steam's $100 fee or stick with itch?

Game's inspired by Over the Garden Wall, releasing in August. Currently itch-only. Trying to decide if it's worth paying Steam's $100 fee at this stage, or if sticking with itch has worked out for people in a similar spot.

Showcasing the Beast from my OTGW-inspired game, Unknown's Shadow. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I'm developing a psychological horror adventure game in Unreal Engine 5 called Unknown's Shadow, heavily inspired by Over the Garden Wall.

This is the Beast. What do you guys think? If you have any feedback or ideas to add to the game, please let me know!

Finished the first stealth/survival level for my horror game, Unknown's Shadow.

I'm building a system of 3 challenge levels and just finished the first one. You are teleported into the area with one goal: grab the item before the monsters catch you. You have to rely heavily on audio cues—if you hear something, you must stay completely still and quiet until it passes.

First look at a hunt sequence in my upcoming psychological horror game, Unknown's Shadow (UE5).

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo dev sharing a work-in-progress clip from my game, Unknown's Shadow, inspired by Over the Garden Wall.

In this scene, you must search for a heart before the Beast kills you. The heart spawns randomly, so the search can sometimes be very quick, or extremely difficult.

I really need help and feedback on the atmosphere, lighting, and overall pacing of this sequence. Let me know what you think!
