I still need a proper answer as to how south vn was a traitor to the vnese people. Sure, he can throw around all these buzz words like puppet regime. But if he doesn't believe what we say about Lem then we dont believe what his side says about anything anyways.

When you time travel hard enough, you can end up in the Tết offensive and witness an incident in which a Vietnamese general deals with a Vietcong terrorist right then and there in the streets.

The Vietcong was found: hiding amongst civilians, in civilian clothing (no uniform) and near a . It was later found he was part of a squad targeting (South) Vietnamese police and their families. Also, what was he doing at the mass grave?

General Loan gave the Vietcong terrorist treatment. Justice was delivered immediately, at least for the victims of this Vietcong squad. For many other victims, justice never came. However, the media broadcasted the execution without context. The world proceeded to accuse Loan of war crimes and make his life difficult. They forget this was a one off incident. Most Vietcongs were arrested normally or killed in battle.

Sorry if you're not tough enough. But terrorists can be executed the way they executed their victims - right then and there.

Can't just change your mind and maybe baby recognize the Republic of Vietnam while calling them traitors for the last half century. Major strategic mistake, wasn't it? But maybe not, because communist Vietnam is SO in debt to China and Russia since the war. Maybe they had to give up some islands but now want them back. Which doesnt work.

We're looking for a few people from the Vietnamese community/diaspora who are interested in helping build a small, organized media/education project about Vietnam and Vietnamese identity.

This is still in the early planning stage. We already have the basic overall direction, target audience, platforms, and initial content structure figured out. We're now looking for people who actually want to take responsibility for a specific area and help turn the idea into something that produces content consistently.

The initial content areas

📚 History Vietnamese history presented in an accessible, source-based way, including topics that are often overlooked or poorly understood.

📖 Books Vietnamese books, memoirs, historical works, authors, literature, and recommendations.

📰 News Current events and developments in Vietnam. This will be the most explicitly current/political pillar and will require particularly careful sourcing and fact-checking.

🎬 Culture Vietnamese movies, music, literature, traditions, and other aspects of Vietnamese culture.

👤 People Profiles of important and influential Vietnamese figures throughout history: intellectuals, writers, political figures, artists, military figures, reformers, and others.

You don't need to be an expert in all of these. The idea is that each person/team focuses on one area they are genuinely interested in.

Who we're primarily trying to reach

Our initial target is the Vietnamese diaspora, particularly Gen Z and Millennials in Australia and the United States, with Germany potentially being added later.

The main platforms we're considering are (YouTube), Facebook, Instagram, and X.

The same underlying research/content can be adapted to the format of each platform rather than creating completely separate content for every platform.

What we're looking for

We're especially interested in people who:

• Are Vietnamese diaspora or have a strong connection to Vietnamese culture/history
• Know English
• Are genuinely interested in researching and learning
• Can work independently
• Can communicate reliably with a small team
• Have an interest in at least one of the content areas above
• Don't mind doing actual work rather than just discussing ideas

Useful skills include research, writing, Vietnamese/English translation, video editing, graphic design, social media, journalism, history, or simply being good at finding and organizing information.

You do not need professional experience. What matters more is being reliable and willing to learn.

How we're organizing it

The overall project has a shared direction and common standards. Individual content teams will then develop their own strategy for their particular area, while communicating with the other teams so that the different parts of the project remain consistent and don't contradict each other.

We're currently giving the teams time to develop their initial strategies, after which we'll discuss them together and move toward actual production.

CONTEXT:

For those who don't know, on March 30th 2025, Nguyen Sy Cuong, a Vietnamese goverment official hit an 18 years old student and her father at this exact location. He then ran away on a motorcycles. Her leg were cut off and her father was serverly injured. She cried all the way to the hospital and died soon afterward. However, Nguyen Sy Cuong hasn't been convicted or even arrested yet.

However, people on Threads managed to dig this back up recently and they places flowers here as a sign of respect. But the police clean it all up.

In response to u/qlvnch post. I have to make a separate one bc i can't post more than 1 picture in the replies.

I've been thinking about this for some time and typed out my thoughts very roughly. From what I've observed, we definitely have more brainpower and intellect. But we MUST organize better outside of this subreddit. Since we're running this for free and for the sake of truth anyways, I hope to find like minded people here that join the brainstorming.

"Slight" logic breakdown at the part where he cant decide if the south of vn still exists or not. When I distinguish between the region and the state itself, I keep being called a US bootlicker. They cant srsly make the fall of Saigon a holiday, then claim I continue to lick US boots to exist - when the state is dead (like they always say!).

Came in strong with all the slurs he translated from vnese to english, aka the helicopter bs. Then acts all genuine and wants to know why I dont support vnese communism although I have some in my family. As if hes willing to read all the literature from both sides, let alone our side.

So guys, always be present in all spaces, on all fronts. We have to read what we like and what we hate. To not end up like them.

Look, we dont carry all this hate against these individuals. Yes, we know that even communist vn has changed a bit over the years, up to a point where they do have access to education. So HOW can they not understand that some foreign currencies are much much stronger than the vnd? He keeps saying foreigners come here for certain health procedures and I keep saying its cheap for them but not for the locals. He keeps asking me WHY? Why oh why. Its basic knowledge and you can just admit that unrelated to ideology.
