I've never had a leather interior and could use some tips on what to use and best practices. The car is kept in the garage so will need an occasional quick wipe down to get the dust off.

Our new 2026 Pathfinder Platinum has only been out of the garage twice in the 10 days we've had it. On the drive home from the dealership I was disheartened by the number of bug splatters across the front of the car. NOOOOO!!!

On a trip to Costco, I parked approximately 1/2 mile away in the furthest reaches of the parking lot, where no one else would park so ridiculously far away.

I started today applying Gtechniq Crystal Serum Lite ceramic coating. Got the front end done and will finish it up tomorrow. I'm pleased and impressed with the finish! Hope it will minimize the adhesion of splattered bugs!

I know the paranoia will lessen with time, but this is our first new car in 16 years and she's a beauty. I'm hoping to keep her around for the duration!

The sewage basin in the lower level began sounding off with the alarm intermittently. This system is in our new/5 year old home. Sometimes for a few seconds to a couple of minutes. One time for nearly 10 minutes. I had our septic guy come out to inspect the system and when he pulled the float system out it was caked with a heavy layer of sludge. He said it was primarily grease and "food particles".

We've had friends staying in this lower level suite while they rebuild their home. I know they do cooking down there and they claim they are very careful not to put grease/food down the drain. As this sewage system only serves that lower level, I'm dubious based on the visual inspection.

It also occurred to me, based on some things I've read, that using "natural" bath soaps, which often use various fats and oils, can re-solidify and create a thick, sticky residue. I have to ask our friends about the type of soaps they use.

Anyway, the septic guy scraped off most of the scum and adjusted the floats, put it all back together and said we should be good.

I'm paranoid over my septic system. I need to have the talk with our friends about what goes down the drains. I also would like to do whatever I can to clear out the drain lines and the basin of any remaining sludge.

They are gone for a week. Would using a product like Green Gobbler EMERGENCY Septic Sludge Remover https://a.co/d/0bvkh2KJ

be of any value? Should I open the inspection portal on the basin and spray this on the remaining observable sludge?

Did I mention I'm paranoid?

My friend is in the process of building their new home. Metal roof is on. They are blowing closed cell insulation up against the interior of the roof sheathing. They are not blowing any insulation onto the attic floor. There are no roof vents, no ridge vent, and not soffit vents. It's going to essentially be an encapsulated attic space.

We get about 160 days of sunshine a year. I've never heard of this. Can someone explain the theory as to why you'd do this?
