What's the best way to develop gameboy homebrew games gbstudio or pure coding?

I make gameboy homebrew games and I'm just curious what everyone thinks.

I love that the Gameboy can keep you entertained whether you have 5 minutes spare or an entire weekend!

I found my child hood DS but it was kinda beat up so I bought a donor and re-shelled it. I used to love playing Gameboy Advance games on this thing!

Why I decided to make a Gameboy game

Growing up I used to flick through the Argos catalogue and dream of owning a Gameboy. Eventually I found a Gameboy Advance SP at a car boot sale along with pokemon blue. I spent most of my time playing gameboy games and getting excited over the clam shell design.

When I had grown up I could decide which Gameboy games I wanted to play rather than just picking up games from the local carboot sales or trading with friends. It was only after playing lots of titles that I had the idea to create my own.

I was undecided on what I wanted my game to look like but I knew that I needed a main lovable character. In my early years of adulthood I grew to like poison dart frogs (specifically blue ones!) So I knew that I had to make one as the main charecter in my game. I decided to have Fred jump over obstacles in an endless runner style game because in life we often have to get over obstacles.

I have finally just got around to publishing my first Gameboy game and it would be great to see if anyone likes it!
