I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Wild

So while the Wild have a top 3 logo in the league, I feel as if the unis are incomplete. So I revamped them to include elements from different jerseys throughout their history. The striping pattern comes from the tail striping on the original jerseys, with the locations of the stripes being based on the current unis. The shoulder design comes from the North Stars throwbacks, but with the new striping pattern. Now I experimented with green numbers on the away jerseys, since throughout the entire history of the Wild, no white jersey has had green numbers. (I also have a version with red numbers on the last two slides) The red alternates are based on the Reebok version of the 2003-17 red jerseys, but I added a tree line chest stripe. While it may look a little weird at first, I think it would be good for around Christmas. As for the North Stars throwback, I changed up the neck to better match the original 1978 jersey, and put the Minnesota script for a more retro feel. The numbers are based on the original font, but I cleaned it up a bit

I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Kings

So I like the 2000s color scheme of black, purple and silver so I brought back purple into the mix, though in a shade between 2000s purple and pre-Gretzky purple. (Pantone 2685 C, or hex 330072 is used here) I used a pointed shoulder design to kinda mimic the logo. The purple alternates use the current jerseys but with a purple base and the crown logo. And the 1980s gold jersey returns as a throwback alternate. The number font is the same one that was used from 1998 to 2024, with the throwbacks using their respective font.

I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Panthers

I like the leaping panther logo, especially the current version of it. So I finally put the current one on the jerseys, which is something I’m surprised hasn’t happened yet. And with that change, I changed the home and away jersey design to the original jerseys, specifically the white ones. So in other words, these are modernized throwbacks. I brought back the first Reverse Retro as an alternate, this time with the current logo instead of the leaping panther. And while the Hometown Remix jersey has already been leaked, I had made a Miami Vice themed HTR jersey before the leak, using the current jerseys as the base. The gloves would finally feature the panther claws that were seen in early photos of the team before they played a game.

I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Oilers

While I’m not usually a fan of traditional looking jerseys, for some reason I really like the Oilers’ home jerseys. But I think the aways could use some tweaks. I swapped the orange and blue on the stripe pattern and added the color block to the lower sleeve like on the home jerseys. I also added the color block to the socks since I felt they were incomplete without them. I put the gear logo on the shoulders since honestly, I like it. The orange alt is the original WHA uniforms, updated to the Fanatics AdiZero template. (is it really AdiZero at this point though if Adidas isn’t making them?) And with the Hometown Remix jersey rumored to be black, I figured I would instead make a black-accented jersey featuring oil drops on the sleeves, along with the gear logo from the 2001-07 alternates. And despite what some people might think, black actually works for the Oilers since oil is black when it comes out of the ground. The numbers come from the 2001-07 alternates, since I’m a fan of each team having a unique font.

I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Red Wings

So with a team like the Red Wings, there’s only so much I can change before I get hated. So changes here were minimal. I added a tire tread pattern to the sleeves to connect to Detroit’s auto manufacturing history. I swapped the red and white on the home jersey logo to make it stand out better and used the 2016 Stadium Series logo on the shoulders. The first alternate is a blackout version of the centennial jerseys with an appropriately recolored logo on the jersey. The second alternate is a red and cream Reverse Retro of the 1927-28 Detroit Cougars jersey

I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Stars

So I brought back the star jerseys to primary status and updated them to the current colors, albeit with the 2013-21 green instead since I find it more visually appealing. The primary logo is changed to the Texas outline alt logo like what was used on the 2021-25 black alts. I brought back Skyline Green and a new tonal shade for the new black alternates. And yes I brought back Mooterus for that jersey, much to the dismay of some fans. I took both the home and away designs of the 90s jerseys, put them into one jersey, and gave it a new green base for a Reverse Retro jersey, which I used the ‘99 jersey logo for

I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Blue Jackets

When I first saw the Blue Jackets’ 2025 Stadium Series jerseys, my first thought was “damn, these should be the basis for a new uniform set.” I did swap out the silver and red striping for red and white striping though and I keep the red pants. And obviously I made an away version to go with this set. I kept the navy alternates mostly intact, with the exception of changing the number outline from silver to steel blue. Now the 4th jersey is a Reverse Retro of the 1976-77 Cleveland Barons, with the black swapped out for navy and the current number font, as a tribute to Ohio’s first NHL team. On the jersey logo for the Reverse Retro, I swapped out the B for the cannon and while it doesn’t show it here, it would say “Columbus Blue Jackets” in the C

I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Avalanche

I like the Avs’ unis but I’m just not a fan of the silver trim/number outlines. So I replaced it with the number color for the trim and sleeve color for the number outlines. I added the mountain design from the home and away jerseys to the navy alts but thickened the white stripe there to be in line with the sleeve stripe, along with adding a burgundy outline to the numbers. I wanted a steel blue jersey but I couldn’t think of a good design with steel blue as the primary color so I reused the 2009-15 alternates with a few tweaks, like replacing black with navy and adding navy to the shoulder piping and white to the neck

I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Blackhawks

So I know there’s only so many changes I could make to jerseys like the Blackhawks’ before I get crucified by the fans. But I fixed my biggest pet peeve about them, which is the sleeve stripes on the home jersey. I reverted the collar back to how it was for the 2017-18 season and brought back the triangles and stripes on the bottom of the pants. I kept the black jerseys in the rotation and brought back the RR 1.0s but with a cream base for a more old timey look.

I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Hurricanes

I love the red alternates and think they should still be the home jersey. So I made the red jerseys the home jersey again, but made some adjustments to the warning flag pattern. (Increased the size of the squares and made the pattern red and black again instead two shades of red) I carried over the design to the away jerseys too so the home and away jerseys use the same design for the first time since 2013. And if you didn’t already notice, the warning flag pattern is now on the sleeves, pants and socks. The black alternates use the same design as the 2019-25 away jerseys. Now I don’t like the Canes wearing the Whalers jerseys but because some people would complain if I removed them. So I used the Whalers jersey design but put it into Canes colors with a storm gray base for sort of a color rush + reverse retro design. I brought back the original number font too since I feel like it fits the team better than the current font

I made my ideal look for each NHL team and here’s my take on the Flames

I’m of the school of thought that adding back black to the Flames’ color scheme improves the visual aesthetics a lot. Especially if the C on the home jersey is also black. These jerseys are based on the 2000s jerseys but with some slight tweaks to the striping. I added the sublimated flame pattern that’s present on the Blasty jersey to the home and away jerseys. I kept the Blasty jerseys because they’re my favorite of the current rotation, even if they’re rumored to not return for 2026-27. I also kept the current home jerseys as a throwback alternate but changed the neck to match the 1981-94 look. I used a slightly modified version the 1995-2000 font for the numbers.

I’m making my take on each NHL team’s uniforms and here’s my take on the Sabres

So my ideal Sabres unis use the goathead jerseys as the base but in the classic blue and gold color scheme, kinda like the Reverse Retro 2.0s. I wanted something on the shoulders so I opted to use a simplified version of the 2006-12 alternate logo there. The current goathead alternates are a top 3 alt in the league in my opinion but I this they would be even better with blue and gold as accent colors. The throwback uniforms are based on the 1983-87 version of the Sabres’ classic uniforms. I made a sorta custom number font based on the goathead era font but de-italicized and a little bit thicker

I’m making my own take on each NHL team’s uniforms and here’s my take on the Bruins

So I will start by saying that I very much prefer the previous logo and unis over the new ones. My ideal look for them is heavily based off the 2017-25 unis but in brown instead of black, since the Bruins originally wore brown. Now I have two versions of the away jersey and I’m gonna let you guys decide which is better. I also brought back the Pooh Bear jerseys since I really like them. And the fourth jersey is based off the uniforms from the early 70s but with a cream base. The number font for the home, away and Pooh Bear jerseys is a custom font based on the serifs in the logo.

I’m making my own take on each NHL team’s uniforms and here’s my take on the Ducks

So, I made my ideal look for each NHL team and 4 months after originally posting it to my IG, I’m finally posting them here on Reddit. For the Ducks, I brought back purple as a color, but I opted to keep orange and gold in the color palette, since I feel it works better with purple than teal and silver. I kept the design of the jerseys mostly intact, with the exception of reversing the sleeve stripe direction as a nod to the original jerseys. I made purple the home jersey color and made the current orange home jerseys an alternate instead. The black jerseys are a Reverse Retro of the Stanley Cup-winning 2007 home jerseys but with purple, jade and silver instead of orange and gold and the 2010-24 duck foot logo on the jersey. Now I like the current number font so I left it alone, but I used the original number font for the Reverse Retros instead of the actual font that was used from 2007-24. The logo is also tweaked to accommodate my addition of purple
