My Itinery for December is essentially

Monteverde > drake bay > Coravado > Uvita.

Everyday is packed with plans and Im doing it all solo.

I’ve look hard and wide into planning all aspects and felt like this was best for my personal preference.

However, online I see overwhelming amount of evidence that so many people go to La fortuna MA and other places.

I have 2 weeks so I don’t want to spend most of it travelling and picked very carefully.

Am I making a mistake with my plan?

Essentially I’ll be coming for half of December, I want to be immersed into wildlife as much as I can be, sea and land.

I’ve done a fair bit of research and keep coming across rafting, zip lining etc… this is the opposite of what I want.

I just want nature without the extras. Which national parks will give me that?

I plan to travel to your beautiful country from the 1st-16th of November. This will include west cost and east cost. Is it a better idea to delay my visit until October 2027? Because I don’t mind waiting to get the perfect time to visit. (Rain makes me sick often, so I don’t want to risk it)

I’ve just had an offer something i listed for £70, they’ve offered £61 (pretty big, suit case size) to someone with account from 2022, with 0 previous history.

What can I do? Do I just not accept the offer? Or accept but take measures to protect myself

Microwaved rice. Per pack at Aldi it’s 70p.

My argument against just cooking it myself is that, it’s easily ready. Something I don’t need to add on the to do list.

I have 1 a day at lunch, and switch it up with different flavours, something I wouldn’t do if I cook it.

Also my cooking isn’t the best, and it turns my okay chicken, into decent chicken with some salad.

Happy to pay £20 ish a month to never cook rice.

Edit: I also don’t mean things like Netflix, while you don’t NEED it. It’s a staple for a lot of people. And yes there’s plenty other apps to pay for, but you aren’t making the tv shows yourself😆not sure how to explain what answers I’m after

For context:

25,live with parents,won’t move out for a minimum of 5 years.

House prices in my area, mean I won’t spend more then 350k (probably no where close) on my first house, and I don’t plan on moving till I have a partner

2 years ago I bought a car for £12k cash, which I plan to sell eventually for around £9-10k. And then I’m assuming I’ll have another £4k to buy a car, and the rest into savings

I make £30-40k PA (furniture sales)

Savings:
£50k S&S ISA (VWRP FTSE ALL WORLD ACC)
£15k LISA
£12k MoneyBox (3.4% AER)

From now going forward, I will try my best to save between £15-18k a year.

my ISA limits are always maxed out in the first day of the new tax year.

since my ISA is always maxed, I just continue to put a minimum of £1k in my money box isa, but going forward I want to try up that to around £1.3k, and months I earn more, anything up to £1.6k, I’m also going to start my side hustle business again that will bring me a minimum of £7k after tax a year.

My employer already matches the maximum into my pension contributions.

I’ve debated if I should move my savings to premium bonds or something, but I’m not sure.

I’m also thinking, do I keep only £10k in my emergency fund, and anything extra (after ISA is maxed) put into an investment more risky, given my age?

Once each new tax year starts, I have been taking out £20k from my emergency fund (since I spent the last year topping it up) and directly into my ISA accounts

I’m not really sure to be honest, I just want to set myself up as best as I can for FIRE. While knowing I’ve probably hit the ceiling for my whole life in terms of annual income. I don’t really back myself to find a better paying job.

I actually only earn £22k as salary, everything else is commission. Which is why it can be as low as 30k, or high as 40k, I did have one year I made 55k, but that was due to a big boom in business after Covid. And the only degree I have is interior design, which I regret deeply (what a stupid decision I made).

All of this while also trying to start my own business with videography, so potentially I could earn more in the future depending on success with my personal business. But I’m being strictly conservative in the planning of my future.

I have only noticed it in the past month, and now when I don’t think I get it in the middle it actually pisses me off.

I also realised I do it with walking between buildings and on floors with lines and stuff

I currently have no gimbal, and want to invest in one for long term regular use. I was thinking to buy and use the r5 for a good while, then when I feel it limit me, and assuming the rs5 pro is out by then, look for a good deal. And then sell and pay the difference for the upgrade? It will also be able to allow me to see if the upgrades worthy.

But am I missing something, is there a reason it’s a bad idea? And to hold out with no gimbal?

My best friend and his finance have been together since 14, and we’re now 25 and they’re having there first baby in September.

I was thinking a photo frame from 0-12 months as my mum had mine still framed and it’s quite nice.

UPDATE: she tried to call me and I didn’t answer but said I prefer if we texted. She basically has said I’m in the wrong for not texting her to make sure she’s ok. I’ve explained my side and she said she can understand she’s a little wrong for being stubborn not messaging me but I’m also in the wrong here. And can’t understand why I won’t talk over the phone

So I made a post the other day that had like 600k views and an overwhelming amount of advice/ comments. And this post is very much related.

Since the night she was involved with SA. She went out again with her friends. Got black out drunk, and I called her when she was lying down outside a club with her friends answering the phone saying we’re trying to get back but she won’t move.

I said ok if there’s somehow I can help lmk, and keep me

The next morning, she called me from her friends phone saying last night was crazy busy and she’s lost her phone, asking me to send a picture of her location to try hunt it down.

She ended up finding it, and didn’t call me, just texted me she found it.

I responded “that’s good to hear, and I’m glad you’re safe I was worried when your friends called to say you was black out drunk” and she said oh it’s no biggie and said she’s going out for the day with her mates from the hostel .

I texted her back saying no worries but also getting black out drunk in Peru on your first solo trip isn’t responsible or safe and pls don’t get that drunk again.

She responded saying “please don’t talk to me like a child I don’t appreciate it”

I was only saying it for her safety I don’t want her in any proximity of danger for her own sake.

But when she said that, I got really annoyed and said “don’t act like a child then” and then she just replied a “👍”

Long story short, she’s had a history of responding childishley to any sort of conflict, or criticism and shut down. And this trip for me was a big decider if I stay or let go. After now not replying to me since Friday, now being Tuesday..

I’m done. I can’t be bothered being in a relationship with such levels of pettiness, she’s spoken with her sisters and mum. So purposely not me because I asked her to not be that irresponsible again getting black out drunk in SOUTH AMERICA.

I’m completely checked out now. I don’t want to be the relationship .

How do I break up, wait till she’s back and do it in person? Or now before she’s back. I’m not sure it’s fair to be in the relationship and her think we’re still fine when she’s solo travelling. But then I’m not sure it’s fair to do it while she’s travelling either.

I’m also not sure whether to tell my parents now or after I’ve broken up. My mum and little brother are excited for her to come back and mum has said we will do a BBQ with both our families when she’s back. I know this won’t happen, but they don’t.

I’ve just realised every summer I moan at how hot it is and how expensive fancy fans/ AC can be, and regret not buying during the winter.

Well now it’s hotter, I’ve remembered I’m always in the shed freezing and too stingy to invest into proper heating.

What can I buy, that will actually keep a shed warm during cold winter evenings? I spend a lot of time in it hibernating during winter

She is currently solo travelling, and before travelling and during I have never told her she can’t do this or that. Even like going on a hike the other day with 2 guys because nobody else in the hostel spoke English

I’ve solo travelled before meeting her over 12 countries so I know that people in hostels just do stuff together.

She’s currently in Cusco, and she just drunk called me while partying. She said how she’s so drunk, and last night when she went partying it all kicked off because she got groped by a man and that group of men wasn’t leaving her alone. They grabbed both her ass and said one tried/did touch her crotch area And the guys from her hostel ended up fighting them because they wouldn’t leave and it all kicked off.

While I’m obviously upset this has happened to her, I can’t understand why she would go all day without telling me today. And then go out the very next night?

I’m no girl, but I feel like if I was and that happened in another country… I wouldn’t go back out partying the literal next night. And also why tell me now when you’re out again and not during the day?

I’m abit confused, I don’t have any doubts of trust with her and never have. But I don’t know what to make from this.

Maybe a girl can help understand a POV that I, as a man, can’t see?

Edit: the way I thought it should’ve gone down is she’d tell me during the day, and then not go out for atleast a few nights due to how uncomfortable she must have felt. But going out the very next night tells me she’s not that bothered? Or is she just trying to make the most of it and not let that experience ruin the rest of her trip?

Damn, this got more attention than I thought. Thank you everyone for your advice and everything, also everyone grilling me was helpful despite feeling a little shit lol. 25 years young I have a lot to learn and don’t get things right first time. I will be there for her in anyway necessary and I some of my unanswered questions were greatly answered by the women prospective.

I also didn’t realise how many girls have been SA’d and have trauma. Damn, I’m so sorry. I hope (some) men do better , this is not okay, im sorry ladies ❤️

I’m trying to book hotels/transport…. But I can’t book anything until I know this answer.

The itinerary for half my trip to your beautiful country comes down to whether I could get a ferry after 3pm from Skjervoy to Tromso.

I can’t book hotels in Tromso until then, as I’m not sure if I should stay in skjervoy for the final night and get the bus at 1pm. I’d rather not, because then I wouldn’t have time to do a Northen lights tour.

Please help locals, this has been more complicated to book then 3 weeks in China🤣
