This games combat flows so well when you learn to stance switch and chain active skills

About 7 or so days ago I posted a video here titled “I just don’t know what to do”. I was struggling a lot in the mid game and I was trying to play it like dark souls by spamming light attacks and not using active skills. I used to rely on the block button too much and I didn’t utilize low stance or any of the stances really as good as I should have. I was struggling against enemy ganks and not using all the tools the game gives you to properly take out each enemy. I never realized how good low stance was, you can dodge things so much easier and the ki recovers much faster. After I realized all of this i was able to successfully finish the game and now im on ng+ and while I still see lots of ways to improve the game just feels so much better now. The combat system is so deep and there’s such a high skill ceiling to this game, I have to say I’m in love and thank you all for your harsh criticism and guidance that made me keep at it.

I just don’t know what to do

In always getting ganked, and it doesn’t matter if I use ninjutsu or magic because they do terribly low damage, I constantly feel like I’m tickling enemies even the trash mobs and my gear is scaled to my level. I don’t know what to do, I feel like I’ve hit a road block on this game and I’m not having fun anymore. If I can’t summon someone to help me I’m dying over and over to random stuff. Can anyone tell me what is going on? How did you guys get through this stage? Should I just start skipping side missions now? I’m level 56.

Can someone help me on this twilight enenra boss fight?

He is a huge damage sponge and the AI summons are terrible and I can’t seem to be able to summon any real players either from the shrine. I’m over the recommended level but I just can’t do anything to him. I can set up a password/session if needed.

I love O’Rin of the water

I wish Sekiro had more mini boss interactions like Orin of the water, I love when I first encountered her playing her shamisen, and I thought she was just another friendly npc, but you soon realize she’s another restless spirit who sadly was abandoned by her lord. And then she becomes hostile because of this, it’s why she is one of my favorite mini bosses in the game, not just the gameplay but the lore and slow build up to her fight, of course if you just attack her outright or ignore her she’ll get hostile and it’ll ruin the surprise kind of, but who’s gonna attack a helpless, seemingly kind lady playing serene and tranquil tunes? The entire atmosphere is just so immersive.

Spears are actually not bad against father owl!

Now I know what you guys may be thinking “what? Doesn’t he always just mikiri and nearly one shot you?” And yes that is true if you just throw it out blindly but while I was experimenting trying to see that badass mikiri animation he does, I found that the spears long reach allows you to exploit a lot of his attacks because they have long start up and recovery times. This made me realize that fromsoft is even more genius than I thought, as a balance to this weakness of his they made him able to counter your thrust super hard. Still if you time it right it can be strong but you can’t just spam it whenever you want or when he’s idle. I’m probably not the first one to come to this revelation and maybe you guys in this subreddit have already talked about this before but I just wanted to share my findings with you all because I thought it was pretty cool.

Anyone know how the corrupted monk mist Raven cheese works?

I was trying to do it on a ng+ run to test things out, I took the contact med and got behind her and used mist raven but the death blow prompt wasn’t showing up. Can anyone who’s experienced with this cheese tell me why?

Just beat all the three main gauntlets and I have to say, inner father is the best fight in the game.

This gauntlet was great and honestly not too much of a challenge (though I did cheese demon of hatred). It only took me 3 tries and I first tried father as soon as I got to him but man the flow of his fight just feels so good. Once you get in Rthym and know when to parry his attacks and dodge and punish his moves it feels amazing. The key to most of these bosses is just not getting greedy and knowing how to punish certain attacks. Isshin Ashina is a total joke compared to his inner sword saint version though imo I thought he would be a bit more of a challenge.

So is she pretty much only good now because of the team up?

Did she not get any other buffs to her base kit? What will we do once the team up leaves?

Honestly I don’t know how some of you guys haven’t deleted the game yet

The supports are giga op, dive when strong never lasts long at all, phoenix was B tier for one day until she immediately got back to S tier again along with cyclops. After the psy nerfs there is literally nothing keeping me on this game anymore, I don’t care how many gooner skins they release, they are so afraid of changing the meta, poke must always be S tier.

Just played a few games after the nerfs, and yeah it's really bad.

so bad in fact, that i'm honestly going to delete the game. Psylocke and Spidey are the only reasons I play this game, and this season now they are both incredibly mid. I was literally tickling the backline every fight lmao, there's nothing you can do anymore.

u/Hekkoln — 1 month ago

Atp, we have to do something

Fuck netease, don’t buy her new skin, they don’t deserve our money if our character can’t be anything but mid tier for a single day. This is ridiculous, and then they buff op supports and poke slop in the same patch. Why does phoenix get to be good for forever?
