Hi I had a reliable pair of work pants I wore at my warehouse that are finally dying via a hole in the crotch area. I got them from a friend who used to work at delta 10-15 years ago I think and now I’m looking for some reliable but not insanely costly work pants, any suggestions

Started a warehouse job and went from repacking beer to verifying units and now I’m learning to do picking on a walker/rider pallet jack

I started last month being promised an 8-10 hour position at 16 an hour, when I was in repack I could essentially leave as soon as I hit 8 hours, my coworker left right at 8 and I’d say till usually 10, on week 3 he put me on verification and repack when I had a break in verifying and my days extended to 10-12 hours a day, now this week he has me starting to do verifying and picking units. We get a one hour break a day but I have essentially no life now, my entire week is clock in at 9 leave at 7-9.

My last warehouse job was in production as a temp but we got laid off last December due to low production but we had locked in times.

Is this how most warehouse jobs are???

Hi so I just started a new warehouse job and I’ve been moving fast and getting introduced to new tasks including verifying beer shipments before they get shipped off, we normally use iPads alongside some generic Bluetooth scanners but they’re breaking. It now is taking the task that has two people tackling it down to one and they have the only remaining free scanner connected to the tablet.

I’m trying to find an app for IOS that’s free that can be used to scan a 1D Barcode and paste it into a text box like the fancier zebra scanners (which I may see about buying second hand as well)

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I clicked the install app button and put in a @bellsouth.net, and 2 @gmail.com emails but nothing shows up except a download for a text file that looks like a jumbled mess, no notifications to install or anything. I do have AltStore and LiveContainer installed too.

Hi I got a Zebra TC520K that was thrown away as lost and found at my work after being here for a month, I would like to reset it and use it at my job (I scan fixed warehouse inventory to ship it off and we manually type in codes)

I would like to be able to scan the UPC codes using its scanner but I’ve heard that those devices are locked to the company.

Hi I have an idea I want to run by you all

Could I mount my gaming PC in a server Rack then contain a mass of hard drives in there alongside a second smaller PC for streaming/ running a server on? Would I also be able to mount a screen to observe the non gaming PCs on it?

Any ideas appreciated as I would like to start a small home lab type of server with these ideas in mind

I bought the Goat Simulator 3 - Extended Universe Edition and the DLC Badlands Furry Road (an individual DLC in that pack) also appeared on my receipt and I’m trying to see if that is normal or if it charged me for both DLC as separate items. When I go to refund the Badlands DLC it also highlights the Extended Universe Bundle as well.

Hi I have a Dell Optiplex 3050 MFF with 2x4gb of DDR4 ram, a 1tb hard drive, and an Intel I5-7500T (I think).

I’m getting ahold of a set of 2x8gb of ram sticks, a 512gb nvme for the OS and basic apps.

It’s running Ubuntu 24.04 and is used for storing media and watching it using VLC and running Firefox (may switch to Opera GX to see if it’ll reduce the load)

Right now it runs slower than I expect it to with it feeling like it takes minutes to catch up to input, which is wireless btw but nothing should be interfering with that as it is maybe 3-6 feet away with nothing in between the PC and it.

Am I missing anything important to try and upgrade besides maybe the processor?

Oh and do yall know if it would run a small minecraft server or play the jackbox party games?

Any help is appreciated
