Battery with red cross

Today my "new" BlackBerry 9720 arrived. I charged it for a bit, then I did the secure wipe. While it was wiping itself, on the white screen it suddenly showed the red cross battery screen. Because of that I took out the battery, put it back in, and it has been on the red cross battery screen ever since.
Now it starts booting with the BB logo and the progress bar, but right at the start after making a bit of progress it goes to the red cross battery screen. I did somehow manage to kinda flash an updated OS on it from BBViet, it went back to the red cross battery screen during a "JVM" thing, and that's where the update failed. Sometimes the keyboard flashed on boot.
Feel free to ask anything, I want to fix this BlackBerry. Right now it's on the charger.
EDIT: also there was a solid green light sometimes between boots? the screen was off iirc (or black)

How can I set a custom DPI in OxygenOS 12.1 without it resetting after a reboot (without root)?

I have a OnePlus Nord (on OxygenOS 12.1). When I change the DPI (either in developer settings, with adb shell wm density 320, or with the Pixels app), after a restart and (a few seconds), it resets to the one set in display size settings (which in my case turned out to be 382 DPI).
Is there a way to keep a custom DPI forever (without root)?

It started installing, but then the phone went to a black screen and then rebooted at step "Connect to device ROM".

I had the USB and Modem driver version 7 iirc, but with that installed my BlackBerry wouldn't register in the Loader.exe.

After replacing the battery, when charging with the Warp charger, it turns off when it hits (probably) 100%.
With a non-Warp charger it charges to 100% fine without turning off and it stays on for the whole duration that it's plugged in (e.g. overnight).

OS on the 9105: 5.0.0.748

OS I'm trying to install: 6.0.0.756 (from BBVIET's Vodafone dumps, I tried both installers)

There is no other Vendor.xml anywhere on the netbook.

I tried this on a Windows 10 VM (with and without internet) and this Windows XP netbook (with internet).

I have a carrier unbranded BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105 running 5.0.0.748.

-If this is one of the oldest versions, is there a dump of it? If not, how can I dump it? (preferably a method that works on Linux)

-How can I find out if it has a carrier?

-And what is the latest supported version for the 9105?
