Are there any handhelds that are well suited for vertical bullet hell games?

Or are the screens generally too small for games like Touhou or Mushihimesama that require carefully weaving through a hitbox that is only a few pixels wide through ribbons of projectiles in slow motion? Those games were designed to be played on home computers or on a normal sized screen at the arcade.

Comparing the Gameboy Advance screen to S22 Ultra

A recent mobile phone is more legible and has an actual backlight + OLED. GBA games have become early unplayable for me now on their original hardware.

I also placed a Joycon style control on top of the screen and measured the screen size of thr upcoming Retroid Nova handheld for comparison, which is 4.5 inches diagonal. But I have doubts that I personally would want to play the type of JRPGs on it designed for old consoles that I could more comfortably play and read on my existing 6 inch long phone.

Does the Retroid Dual Screen fit with telescopic Razer Kishi?

I am thinking of buying one for my Retroid handheld, but would be even more useful if I could sometimes use it for a phone & Razer Kishi game controller too.

Does it work for Backbone controllers too?
