I see a comic at auction that is CGC slabbed with an 8.0, with these comments:

sticker left bottom of back cover
crunch right top of front cover
crease bottom of back cover
spine stress lines spine

It’s a signed issue and there is a Beckett auto authentication sticker on the back.

Is there a standard deduction or grade max for a book with a sticker on it?

I’m wondering how much it can be improved with just removing the sticker

It’s just not funny at all anymore (if it ever was).

I heard someone say this at a con but was in a hurry and couldn’t follow up.

IMO CGC needs to start requiring grader notes on 9.8s. Need to be a little more transparent.

Should I care?

Given how big comics are on the app now and how many sales are of books that are going to be sent in for grading, Whatnot needs a comic pre-order policy.

The sellers send you a piece of paper to satisfy Whatnot’s shipping guidelines even though the books will take at least 2 months to arrive.

If there’s a problem with the order in 2 months time the buyer has no options via Whatnot for help.

That needs to change.

UPS is holding up a shipment until a fill out a form declaring which chemicals I am importing and if they are allowed by the TSCA. I have responded to them that they are not raw chemicals, but a finished piece of acrylic, but they have not responded.

So strange, right?

Sellers seem obsessed with $1 starts and either longer normal auctions or shorter sudden death.

Curious if anyone had done work on the impact (as a buyer and potential seller).

As a rule, if you just said this it followed a very bad and very obvious bit of humor that failed miserably.

Other than the Artgerm Psylocke from last year, can anyone thing of any ratios that sell for the ratio price?

I’m amazed that people (including myself in moments of weakness) continue to pay upwards of $100 for any 1:100.

Am I completely missing a bunch of examples?
