I am afraid

Okay, so I’m making this post because I have a tremendous fear of flying, and I’m looking for advice from people who have dealt with something similar.
For some background, I’ve been on planes since I was a kid because I’m from the Dominican Republic and have traveled back and forth with my family many times. So flying itself isn’t completely new to me.
However, when I was around 12, I had a really bad experience on a flight where we experienced extremely intense turbulence. The plane felt like it was dropping and then suddenly going back up. It was terrifying, and ever since then, I’ve had a horrible phobia of flying. I’m 19 now, and it still affects me badly.
Usually, my mom is the person who calms me down. I’ve always relied on my family when flying, and my mom especially knows how to calm me when I start panicking. Growing up in a Hispanic family, though, anxiety and phobias weren’t really taken seriously, so I was basically told to get on the plane and deal with it. I’ve never been prescribed medication or really had anyone help me medically with the fear. because again when I ask my mom, can I go to the doctors so they prescribe me something, she would just say it’s not that serious but then get mad at me when I’m having these extreme panic attacks so I never was able to see a therapist about it or a doctor.
When I panic on a plane, it can get really bad. I can cry, shake, feel extremely overwhelmed, and feel like I just want to get off the plane. I’ve tried breathing exercises, trying to sleep, distracting myself, etc., but none of those things have worked very well for me.
Now I’m joining the Navy having to go in 2 weeks for a 3hr flight. and I have to fly to Boot Camp by myself. Honestly, this fear has gotten so bad that it has made me question whether I should even go through with something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I know that sounds extreme, but the thought of getting on that plane alone without my mom there is terrifying me.
I’m wondering if anyone has dealt with a fear of flying this severe and has any advice that actually helped them.
I’m also curious about over-the-counter options that might help with anxiety or motion sickness, especially because I’m going into the Navy and I don’t want to take something that could cause problems for me.
I’m also open to non-medication tricks, especially things that can help when you’re sitting on the plane and the panic starts. I’ve tried breathing techniques, but unfortunately they haven’t been enough for me.
The hardest part is that I’ve flown before and my hardest problem is I can’t even step near the plane or even get on because of how scared I am. It’s just that my fear takes over before and during the flight. I’m trying really hard not to let this phobia hold me back from joining the Navy.
So if you’ve had a severe fear of flying, especially if you’ve had a traumatic turbulence experience, what actually helped you? How did you get through your first flight alone?
I’m genuinely looking for honest advice and personal experiences.

Shipping out in 2 weeks

Everyone, before I say what I want to say, I just want to explain that joining the Navy is something I’ve always thought about doing. It’s something I’ve wanted to do and talked about since I was younger.
I’m 19, female, and I signed my contract as an OS. The reason I’m making this post is because I’m honestly really nervous about joining. It’s not just the Navy itself or the current events going on in the world, although that definitely adds to my worries. A big part of it is my fear in general.
I’ve always struggled with starting new things, doing things outside of my comfort zone, and dealing with the unknown. Even something as simple as going on roller coasters can make me extremely nervous. But then I finally get on one, and afterward I’m like, “Oh… that wasn’t even that bad.” 😂
I guess I’m realizing that sometimes I spend so much time being afraid of something before I actually experience it, and then when I finally do it, I realize I was making it much bigger in my head than it actually was.
So I guess what I’m asking is: how did you guys deal with that nervousness when you first joined?
I’d especially love to hear from people who are new to the Navy or people who are currently serving. What was your experience like going into Boot Camp? How did you get past the fear and adjust to Navy life? Did you have similar doubts before leaving?
I’m also nervous about whether I’ll do well in Boot Camp, whether I’ll actually enjoy Navy life, and especially what life on a ship will be like. Since I’m an OS, I’d really appreciate hearing from other OSs about what your experience has been like, both good and bad.
I genuinely want to do this. I don’t want fear to be the reason I give up on something I’ve wanted for so long. At the same time, I know this is a HUGE life decision, and I want to be realistic about what I’m getting myself into.
So please be honest with me. I’m open to criticism, harsh truths, and the reality of Navy life. You don’t have to sugarcoat anything. If you think there are things I need to mentally prepare myself for, tell me. If you struggled at first but eventually adjusted, tell me that too.
Sometimes I think hearing the harsh reality is better than having unrealistic expectations.
I just want to hear from people who have actually been through it and hopefully get some perspective before I leave. ❤️⚓️

[astro-seek.com] Wondering about myself

Okay, so I’m joining the Navy (which is the military) in two weeks, and this is something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m just feeling really nervous, so I wanted to ask: based on my birth chart, does the military seem like a good path for me? More specifically, do you think I would do well in that type of environment and that it could benefit me in the long run?

The reason I’m asking is because I don’t really understand why I get so nervous about so many things. I can get anxious about literally everything, and I feel like I let fear hold me back from doing things I actually want to do. I really want to get out of my comfort zone and stop allowing fear to control my decisions.

For example, I used to be terrified of roller coasters. I would be so scared and convince myself that I didn’t want to go on them, but once people pushed me to actually get on one, I realized it wasn’t even as bad as I imagined. That made me realize that sometimes I’m more afraid of the anticipation and the unknown than the actual experience itself. So I don’t understand why I have so much fear surrounding things when, once I actually do them, I usually realize that they aren’t as bad as I thought.
I guess that’s part of why I’m nervous about joining the Navy. I’ve always wanted to do this, and I don’t want fear to hold me back from something that could be really good for me. So I’d like to know if my chart shows anything about how I handle challenges, unfamiliar environments, discipline, or stepping outside of my comfort zone, and whether the military seems like an environment where I could actually grow and thrive.

Also, the reason I have two charts is because my mom isn’t completely sure whether I was born at 5:30 or 6:30. So I made both charts since they’re only an hour apart.

Also please do not put your political beliefs/opinions i’ve already understand the situation.

I need honest feedback /help

Okay, I want to start by being honest I don’t know a lot about this topic. I surround myself with people who work with her, but I personally don’t know much.

The reason I’m making this post is because I feel like there’s a repeating pattern, and I just want help sorting it out.

I’ve always been spiritual. I grew up in a spiritual Dominican family that practices the 21 Divisions. As I got older and started meeting people from different practices, I got introduced to Santa Muerte. I never saw her as evil. I never felt like she was scary or that she would harm me. I always felt a strong, almost innocent presence from her.

A lot of people I’ve met have talked to me about her and introduced me to her more. In readings, people often say she wants to work with me and talk to me. But when I bring her up to my family, they always say she’s evil, that I’ll regret working with her, and that I’ll get myself into a situation I can’t get out of. That made me go back and forth and feel worried.
I’m not going to downplay the 21 Divisions spirits they’ve helped me in many ways. But the communication and the feeling with them isn’t the same as what I experience with her.
When I call out to Santa Muerte, she shows up right away. One day I offered her coffee and she appeared in it. When I pray to her, she shows up in my dreams wearing a red robe. She always makes me feel her presence. There have been times when I was crying and after talking to her I felt so much better.

The problem is that I know myself. I get lazy, I forget things, and I’m inconsistent. I don’t feel ready to fully devote myself to her. Devotion feels like giving yourself completely to her, and I don’t think I can do that right now. I can’t commit to praying every day because I know how inconsistent I am. Still, I really want to talk to her not even just to ask for things, but just to talk.
Every time I try to pull away, I feel even more drawn to her.

She recently helped me get a job. I worked with someone who works with her, and after struggling to get the job I wanted, I got it (along with other support, of course). I’m very grateful for that.
I’ve made promises that if she helped me I would devote myself to her… and I never did. That makes me feel bad. I still feel called to her, but I don’t want to devote myself yet. Maybe in the future when I’m older, but not right now. I don’t feel like I can give myself to her the way a real devotee should praying consistently and dedicating my life to her.
I also have habits I know aren’t good, and I feel like I’d have to stop them if I devoted to her. Sometimes I feel disgusted with myself or like I’m not good enough for her.

So I just want to know what you all think I should do.
Is there a way I can still talk to her and have a connection without full devotion?

I really need help

I’m not a Santa Muerte devotee, but I need advice from people who are.

I’m a reader. I saw a post on my TikTok For You page where someone was asking if they could get a reading. I commented and said I didn’t mind doing one.

The person who actually DMed me wasn’t the creator of the post it was someone else. She told me she’s a Santa Muerte devotee and asked if we could do an energy exchange reading. I agreed.
She did my reading and I did hers. After I finished, she just said thank you and that was it. Later I saw she posted on her story that she “can’t find a real reader.” I’ll be honest I took offense to that (and I own that it was a bit childish of me). I didn’t say anything to her. I just blocked her.

The next day she commented on one of my posts calling me a liar, saying I don’t really have gifts, that I shouldn’t be reading anyone, and that I’m a fraud. Some of my other clients saw it and started texting her defending me. I messaged her asking what was going on (even though I already had her blocked). She then texted me from another account. At first I thought it was a troll, so I blocked that one too.

Then another account started commenting the same things that I’m a fraud, that I don’t have gifts, that my reading was wrong. I blocked that one as well.

Eventually she started DMing my clients telling them not to book with me because I’m a liar and a fraud. When I finally confronted her with screenshots, she admitted it was her the same girl I did the energy exchange with.

I don’t have a problem if a reading doesn’t resonate with someone. I’m a reader, not 100% accurate every time. I wish she had just told me the reading didn’t land for her. Instead she kept publicly putting me down and trying to make other people believe I’m not a real reader and that I’m a fraud. On top of that, she told me she’s going to have Santa Muerte “deal with me.”

I don’t like being threatened like that. I’ve never worked with Santa Muerte myself any connection I’ve had has always been through someone else
and I’m genuinely scared right now.

I’m not asking for any work to be done. I just want to know if I was in the wrong here. If I was, I’m willing to apologize. I just don’t understand what’s happening and I really don’t like this situation.

Beware of this reader 😞

I am so disappointed, I just wanted to book a session with her because I’ve seen her all over my FYP and I’ve also got suggested by other people, I understand for warning which I’m not ignoring, but I already signed my contract and the reading never even happened. I never got my reading because she never answered my question. When I kept asking her. When can I schedule one it feels unfair that I’m getting discriminated over a career choice that I made. I understand if she does not agree I wish she could’ve kindly rejected it, but is going too far now.

I feel so disrespected. I just wanted to book with her just like any other client. I feel like I’m being disrespected over having my own career choice. I understand the controversy of being in the military, but I feel like that shouldn’t stop anyone from reading me like I feel so hurt right now. and if I did anything wrong, you guys are free to tell me I’m open to learn.
