Adding new Home Assistant integrations, found that the Solar Edge system is available. Was able to fill out most of the form but needed the API key for actual data collection. Contacted Solar Edge, my leasing company, and the installer looking for the key and each one says the other has it and cannot reveal that information to me.

Then Solar Edge reached out again informing me of the developer API. But trying to set it up as a homeowner is proving to be difficult because I need an app for it to integrate to. The web page is requesting:

Origin URL

Redirect URL

Returned URL

Even then, only 2000 API calls a month on the free plan when rounded down is only 2 calls an hour.

Anyone here attempt this route yet?

Are there other API options?

Would an installer hook up to my home data connection if I provided the cat6 drop? Thanks

Current laptop is ok, but the shell is busted and should have been retired years ago. Aside from that, the OS (win7) is wildly out of date but has surprisingly decent CPU (i7-3610QM). But unfortunately I do not think I can remove and repurpose the CPU.

So now I am starting from scratch. Would like to budget build this from existing components I have laying around.

- recieved an older laptop (2018? model) that was running win10. But missing the HDD. Has a i3-8130U with 8GB DDR4 SDRAM

- have a windows 10 tower to assist in the transition

- even older HDD that was running windows vista with good health report, but needs to be formatted.

Assuming the need to format the HDD. And being inexperienced in this, older threads said to use NTSF and load win10 first and let Unbuntu do its thing for now. The Rufus writer is suggested to be used to create boot USB's.

I have a copy of win10 to be written as well as a copy of the latest stable version of Ubuntu.

Now to start putting it all together starting with getting Win10 to load.

Any tips or experiences? Thanks

Got a new to me laptop. I am coming from windows 7 to now a "Microsoft" account. Previous owner was my dad and has a lot of files synced to OneDrive. Already made a mistake by adjusting settings on the desktop that he promptly called me on.

How to unlink/desync/remove his account and end the OneDrive syncing? Already made a new account but will not give me the admin privileges.

Was able to create local account with admin privileges.

And with the constant syncing, even after being paused, worried that a fresh recovery will delete those files. I have the necessary passwords and pins to access the current admin account.

I have tried other suggestions from here and Microsoft support forum, but I am probably missing something.

And going through other posts, any current way to make a local only account? I know it is possible, but Microsoft keeps changing the way to do it.

Got the local account, now to remove the other Microsoft accounts.

Paramount plus has to be running off an ad server. I have applied basic rules through my Purple. App worked on other devices on my network until I tried it on my smart TV. It would load the menus and previews, but would not play. Thought it was my TV since it is from 2015. Went through the rules and found just my tv was blocking a flow that broke the rules. Removed that rule then Paramount plus worked again. Next day, it broke again. Same symptoms of loading and previews but no shows. Still worked on other devices so I removed monitoring just on that device. Come to today, now my entire network is blocking Paramount plus across all devices...

SOLVED! - Interrupted move was found in the #recycle folder of the source folder... that was a horrifying endeavor...

Was moving an album from personal photo to synology photo and the folder transfer was interrupted. Now I cannot see any of the photos. Just the album name. What happened? How can I recover?

Last trip of the morning leave Whitehall and St. George at 7:30 am. Trips resume 1:30 pm. Harbor going to be closed for the parade of ships.

Then again to be suspended for the fireworks. Last trip from Whitehall and St George at 7:30 pm resuming at 10:15 pm from Whitehall and 10:30 pm from St. George.

I need to download several hours of video to review, but the app will not allow anything more than 5 minutes at a time. Or even playback at an increased speed.

Can this be done remotely or will I need access to the local network or NVR? If I have to go to the NVR, how to isolate the time frame needed?

Whenever two or more devices are streaming or using the outside internet, those devices start to buffer. But anything inside my LAN is fine. Last night when this happened, I went to power cycle the Purple and it was very warm to the touch. So now I am looking for ideas on how to add active cooling to it. Preferably only when it goes above a certain temperature and turns off when below. Thanks.
