Let’s assume Eggman has full control the world, and then the Black Arms somehow come back at full strength they were at in shadow 05

No intervention by Sonic, shadow, or gun. Assume they do not exist.

The seven chaos emeralds are scattered across the world, so both sides would need to find them.

Eggman has access to everything he does modernly, so Sage, Metal Sonic, and basically whatever he can create in modern times with resources of the world.

Black doom has everything the black arms could’ve had in shadow 05 except shadow on his side, and the chaos emeralds.

Who would win? Win conditions for black arms is conquer the world, win conditions for Eggman are to force the black arms to flee, or destroy them all.

I feel like the story book games were an idea that were cast away far too soon. In part because of their Wii exclusive nature, however are things I see with great potential!

This is because they are very self contained stories, and so aren’t beholden to as many things or factors, allowing for a focus on the characters

And I think having it be used to focus on side characters would be super cool, as it allows them to have the spotlight without having major consequences to consider, and instead just focus on them and their character

For Amy, I feel like it’s obvious, but her story book would be based on Romeo and Juliet, and show her fighting for a love in a world that seeks to tear it apart, and as the story goes on…fight a love that seeks to tear the world apart in return.

Forcing her to fight on two fronts, seeking to help both sides, without letting either destroy what matters.

The gameplay itself being a fun blend of basically standard sonic and werehog, Amy not being as fast, and plenty of focus on platforming and combat for her acrobatic skills, and to show off her hammer as she moves through the city of Verona, and the many threats to her mission.

I think it would be fun, and fitting of Amy to allow her to fight for such a cause, and just give her more love.

(She would also get a new form when at the end must fight Romeo and Juliet to save the world…)

Let’s assume the set up for the fight is both have been hired to take out each other, the win condition is kill, incapacitate, or capture each other and both sides want that bread

I think sleet and dingo have the edge in Sleet’s intelligence, however have the weakness of not being as in sync as rough and tumble are in the moment

I think it makes for a interesting match up

For those unaware the most recent tailstube has confirmed silver travels using portals to get to the past and future

He lacks control over when and where these portals appear, but can decide wether or not to enter them

Now I actually don’t quite like this, because it raises like a VERY big question

Where were these portals in 06?

They didn’t show up at all. Yes there were portals but those came from the chaos emeralds which silver doesn’t use, and Mephiles who doesn’t exist

So that raises a really big question of where these portals came from and why they want to help silver save the future now, but can’t do that in 06

Because these portals, or whatever is causing them seems to have a vested interest in keeping the future good, even if that’s inconsistent

For example, why at all send silver to the future of the metal virus? All that happens is he sees the ruined future and then goes back. Why wouldn’t the portals just not reopen then, since silver failed to truly save the future.

And it’s not like the portals wanted the metal virus future to occur, because otherwise they wouldn’t open for silver to come back.

So why have silver go to that future just to go back? Him seeing the world didn’t in stopping the metal virus, he didn’t gain any info there that helped.

So whatever is causing these portals to appear is

1: someone who existed post 06

2: someone who wants the future to be in a good state, but also wants silver to stay there

3: cannot force silver to go to the past or future

And 4: is kinda dumb because why send silver to the ruined future just for him to go back to the past for no reason?

Honestly I don’t like this method as is, it kinda takes away silver’s agency in being able to time travel, not that him ever being forced to is bad, more so he never does so because he alone wants to. Like when’s the last time silver time traveled only because he felt like he had to or wanted to?

And also whatever this is cannot be Solaris, I’ve seen that idea float around but it can’t be.

Mephiles can’t be it either, despite me liking the idea of Mephiles coming back, he doesn’t exist, the shadow gens fight literally ends with him being confirmed not to, and there’s no reason to believe Solaris doesn’t.

I hate it when characters don’t get to be called their origin names for dumbass reasons.

This doesn’t refer to valid reasons, because those are ofc valid. Cassidy from overwatch getting a new name is completely valid and something I agree with for example.

Noon Saibot never being called that is not.

He isn’t called that in mk9, 11, or M1K from what I recall. It’s dumb.

Just because people are gonna make jokes about his name being Noob? That’s why you refuse to use it?

Then there is Eggman Nega. Recently in a tailstube, an official sonic video series, Eggman Nega was brought up but not by name.

MAYBE this was due to a different reason, but I think it’s because they don’t wanna use a character with the word Nega in it.

Which is dumb, Nega comes from the word Negative, people making connections that don’t exist shouldn’t be an issue in keeping an already established name.

It’s dumb and shows that people in charge of media aren’t committing to the established things for dumb reasons.

I haven’t watched the movie, so in the off chance that actually explains anything, (cause I know enough to know that the main threats an air bender? I think???) my bad.

I have watched the OG show ofc, and Korra and most of the comics, and the way I see it the Sky bison’s way of coming back was very disrespectful to the American bison they were partly base off of.

The American Bison had a long of history of being critical to native peoples in the US, and had significant cultural meaning and value along with practical ones. They went on to be immensely targeted by the US government and settlers. A literal genocide of the species carried out to further break down the native people’s ability to exist independently.

When the killings had calmed down, the amount went from tens of millions to less than a thousand.

Thankfully the population has improved, but that was due to effort, hard work, and struggle.

Not because another herd was just found.

The American bison didn’t luck out, it was on life support. The sky bison just having another herd be safe and sound goes against the struggle of both the species of the animal and the native people who relied on it.

I understand Appa just dying as the last of his kind is depressing, but simply put the consequences of genocide are depressing, it’s sad that extinct species cannot be seen anymore, removing that consequence harms the impact and meaning of the action.

I’m gonna get right down to it, Solaris was antagonized into doing what they did, and if it wasn’t for the actions of the Duke, would be perfectly fine and dandy.

The Duke due to being unable to control his own grief, literally decided to take a omnitemporal, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, (Omniman) GOD and experiment on it for his own gain

And when that being didn’t want to be enslaved, what was the Duke’s reaction?

“Why Solaris? Why won’t you listen to my voice?”

Like DUDE they’re not your slave 😭

And ultimately what the Duke did was basically tear Solaris’s conscience from its body, which is like super fucked up!

Now this creates the question of is mephiles a different person or is he just Solaris but weaker?

For the sake of this argument (and from my own personal opinion) Mephiles is going to be treated as a different person DERIVED from Solaris’s consciousness, not the consciousness itself.

So that leaves us to the actions Solaris took after being recreated by Mephiles, which was to destroy the world

And while they needed to be stopped I don’t blame them, if I had my very being be torn apart for refusing to obey someone I owed nothing to, I’d want to erase the world too!

Now after being rightfully stopped, that leaves to the last scene of Solaris, being erased from existence

I think that was undeserving

Now i don’t quite recall so fair to say there was no other option, but Solaris still didn’t deserve that, because again they were antagonized into wanting to destroy the world, if it was up to them nothing would’ve happened at all

What Elsie and Sonic should have done instead was beat the duke’s ass for trying to enslave someone because he couldn’t cope with his loss /j

This isn’t to say 06 is poorly written for that reason (it is poorly written but for other reasons) but more so me feeling bad for a fictional god that tried to erase all of existence

Genuinely mind control is such a yawn inducing gimmick for me now

It’s been done, it’s still being done basically, I don’t even remember if there have been any rules set up to distinguish it. I genuinely just don’t care about it anymore.

I stopped caring for it at all after clutch came back

And for that to be the opening gimmick of count Blackwood, I genuinely have no reason to even hope he’ll be interesting, because power sets do matter, sonic’s whole selling point is being fast, tails is smart and can fly, knuckles can glide and is strong

So yeah maybe he’ll have more to it but using a already done thing is not doing him any favors for me
