Apollo might come off Vain but I don’t think people realize how hurtful the Lester form Might be for Him [toa]
Like I know most media gets stuck up on Apolo being the sun god/god of light but he also has so many domains beyond that, that makes what Zeus did to him so much more calculating & humiliating. It’s been implied he had a little bit more freedom
So to speak with his first 2 mortal experiences such as how he presented. But this third time was meant to be complete humiliation ritual by Zeus. Because everything about the Lester Alias goes against Apollo’s whole domain blond shiny hair that makes him stand out gone, beautiful face covered in Acne, perfect body turned normal and basic. He’s the god of “Youthful Male Beauty” he’s spent millennia being the epitome of perfection in the male form only to have that all stripped and his feeling inadequate. Zeus was trying to hurt him & everyone of the cast just kind of dismisses his complaints about his body as him being whiny & vain when he’s actually genuinely hurting. I view him in Hidden Oracle almost acute to a kid with an eating disorder.
