EoE p1p1. Close encounter is my pick. What’s yours?

I’m not excited about this quick draft pack 1. But you get what you get. What’s the pick?

I pulled out an ooooold friend when displaying my Lego Game Boy

You know my eyes are getting old… so I had to dig out an old friend to pair with my newest Lego gift…

Yes I found the “reading light/magnifier” from my OG game boy. And yes I tried to put it on my Lego game boy. And yes it fit!!!

It’s actually really cool that the little grippy nub fits in and snaps on just right.

Downside, I DENTED THE LEGO PIECES! You can see in the extra pictures that the grippy nubs of the magnifier actually gripped so tight that it dented the Lego pieces….i didn’t know that was possible. Makes me sad but a small price to pay to display it with the OG magnifier from my childhood.

Also I noted that the power button is in a slightly different spot. Close enough I never realized, but the magnifier has an opening to reach the real game boys power switch, and here it exposes only blank plastic.

And way I wanted to share this as it made me so happy (and I guess I learned soemthing new about denting lego pieces….clearing an illegal connection since it is straining the pieces).

Oh! Also it’s probably been said here but I tried to insert an old game boy cartridge in and it didn’t fit. I frowned, as it was so close to fitting it had to be intentional….and the I realized if I had put it in, the inside of the game would have gotten ruined. Thank you Lego for protecting my old cartages from my impulsive thoughts!!

(This is a repost of an attempted post from earlier. Reddit wasn’t attaching photos. If photos don’t attach here reply to let me know please. Hoping this post isn’t shadowbanned as a repost or as me trying to post 6 times today due to the glitches)

My overall Analysis of TLJ

I made the headline obviously blunt and self important as no one has any reason to care what I think, but I’d love to discuss some thoughts.

So when I first watched it I LOVED it. I found it fun and funny. I was fascinated by the vision of the force and “balance” that Luke (and Snoke) teaches. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea that Rei wasn’t the chosen one of the force, not a vergence. Not a scion. Just a person with a strong connection to the force and a good strong heart. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Kylo actually made an attempt to turn Rei to the dark that was tailored to the target and had a chance to succeed. (See how Palpatine tailored his slow conversion of Analin successfully, but Anakin’s attempt to turn Luke was based on completely misunderstanding Luke as a person and hoping “he idolized the idea of a father” would be enough)

Then, later, a smart friend who hated the movie broke down scene by scene on why it was nonsense or off tone, or a jumbled story. I forget most of the specific issues but I found it convincing (killing off phasma without enough payoff, the entire trip to the gambling planet making things worse instead of better, Rose messing up Fin’s smart sacrifice, there are parts I rmemebr). I found I agreed with him on everything and felt dumb. It was like Dark Knight Rises, where I loved it leaving theater and hated it thinking more later.

But then I realized. The parts I loved I still loved. And the parts I now hated I had legit grievances for. And I realized a 99% reliable patern.

I love every scene that includes Luke and/or Rei. And I hate every scene that doesn’t.

Thoughts? Am I alone in this?

(Ignore episode 9 for this analysis please. I have complex feelings about that which I don’t want to bring into it)

What do you think of my loadout? I’m newer on Wild Rift but love Seraphine

I like the Rylai as soon after the “boots” item as I can, as the slow seems to be what is most useful from me…

…but I am unclear on what the slows “stack” and when they don’t. Will a single Beat Drop root them, if I have Rylai in hand? I feel like it should but I don’t know. If not, then I should probably cut it from the build entirely.

I also am torn of the new Ice Overlord rune vs the Aery rune. I feel like I need the damage and shield boost from Aery but I’m not sure.

Also not sure on starting item. I am newer so die more than I would like…hence the defensive first item. But the offensive support item is probably better if I am good??

Thanks!!! (Attached pictures of my experience and win rate etc)

Help needed. P3p1

So I am pretty ok at draft. I only play on phone, so I don’t have stats or recordings. But I’ve gotten to mythic once or twice.

Anyway, this set is killing me. I havnt figured it out yet. I had one draft with a winning record out of like 8 drafts.

Anyway, I’m doing a quick draft and nothing feels very open, but Gub is where I seem to be. I could pivot to hard five color or to a two color pair I guess, but feels like three color, green base, splash off color mana sources?

Anyway, I figured pausing here where I don’t see an obvious pick is a good way to get advice on what I maybe am already doing wrong and what to try in pack 3.

First pick is my current pool, second pick is P3.

Advice welcome thatnks!!!

Magnolia in Appalachia, USA.

Hello! My big magnolia that I love looks rough to me and I wanted to find out early if there is some thing wrong with it.

I read that the yellow leaves are normal this time of year. But it looks sad and droopy.

It had some big vines, but I snipped them at the base last year and they are shriveled.

Any advice? Healthy? Dying? Need water? (I don’t think of trees this size needing to be watered outside of deserts, but I dunno)

New-ish to Seraphine. Advice welcome

Hey there! I’m sure this gets asked a lot but I play Wild Rift (unsure how different it is but I only can play on a phone. We go to the league with the tools we have…) and I’ve been really enjoying and doing well with Seraphine.

I am/was an amumu jungle main, but I tried her in support and found it fun and intuitive….and I have a 65% win rate (including just now a 9 game win streak).

I don’t feel enough to ask specific useful questions, but is there any good advice or research out there you would point me towards?

I have a ~60 foot tall tree (Norway Maple, I think) that is MOSTLY dead (cue Miracle Max, Princess Bride jokes).

Every branch is bare of leaves, including the entire canopy, except for one branch about halfway up, that seems perfectly healthy.

There are also a few leaves coming from the trunk about 8-10 feet off the ground (the London would usually trim on sight, but here I am not touching them).

No idea why it’s half dead…it was like that when I arrived. Only thing environmentally obvious is an infestation of English ivy, but only a normal amount, so not likely to kill it (and I snipped the ivy at the base so it’s withering now).

I am in Appalachia, USA.

Any advice on what to do? Should I cut off dead branches high up? Should I get the trunk removed above the live branch? Something else to do to treat it or check for? Is it a lost cause and just a falling risk?
