Part help with 2014 Silverado 1500 5.3L v8

Hello I wanted to see if someone could tell me what this part is that needs fixed. Bought a Silverado and previous owner told me the only problem is that it has an emissions leak. Apparently all he could describe is an emissions leak in the fuel line that it was fixed previously a plastic part of it but now he said the mechanic shop said it’s a Purge line fail, metal line is leaking which is why the check engine light is on and is having an emissions leak. Now would this be the Purge Valve hose? or something else? I’m just trying to see exactly what part it is. Thank you lots if someone knows exactly what’s being described and what part it could be and where in the engine or underneath is it

Need some tips and advice on this 2015 Silverado!

Hello all, wife and I will probably go see this later. We are looking to buy a cash truck as we are selling our SUV to carmax to get out of car payments for good. Are the 2015 Silverados reliable? This is the only one on marketplace that sounds pretty well for us. The couple selling it seems pretty legit, no rust on the truck by the pictures they have. Trying to have something reliable for work and to pick up my son from daycare every day. Thinking about offering 8-8,500 for this?

Worth checking out?

Me and my wife are trying to buy a cash pick up to get out of Car payments. Been looking for a 14 and up Silverado. Would this be worth it? Been looking for something reliable. Other option is trading our SUV we have that we owe 30k left and going to a dealership and they’re willing to pay off our SUV and we’re gonna finance a 15k 2019 Silverado with 160k miles but we were gonna throw like 5k down and finance the rest and pay it off in less than 3 months.

Worth it? 2014 Silverado

Me and my wife are trying to go no car payment route getting ready to sell our 25 Hyundai. Been searching for a pick up to have as we have a 4Runner and a 98 Silverado. Trying to have another reliable. Came across this on marketplace. Is it worth it?

On my 1998 Chevy k1500 what would the benefits be on swapping some parts out.

Engine is running strong I’m just curious, i don’t have bad idle or anything. I recently did an oil change, tune up for spark plugs wires and cap and rotor, new air filter, new mass air flow sensor and new throttle positioning sensor.

I want to upgrade the air intake, put a new idle control valve, and a purge canister valve. What are the benefits of changing those 3? I read that since I changed the throttle positions sensor I should’ve changed the idle air control valve as well since I changed it. Any benefits? This is a new hobby project for me so just asking out questions. Thanks y’all.

Shout out to those that showed me the CVS app trick

Lots of people on here always said they got a half price off for signing up for the CVS app and have to occasionally buy something small at the store then you’ll get a 50% off coupon and I finally got it. Right away went on the app and bought this yesterday morning and literally received today. 1 day shipping was insane best $50 ever. Shout out to y’all. Something I always wanted to add to my collection for a damn while 🔥

98 K1500 Silverado

Just want to rant, had this for a week now bought it off a old Harley driving veteran guy for 1200. Odometer is at 327,420 Always wanted a project truck like this since 2014 finally can afford one. Runs pretty decent and pulls pretty fast. Front end parts are coming so not worried about the suspension. Yesterday my father in law’s buddy did a tune up on it and oil change and changed my TPS and cleaned the MAF sensor. Guy I bought it from took care of the engine for 10 years he only sold it because the transmission high revs from 1-2 at 3000 rpm and after that it shifts and runs mighty fine. He told me he’s too old to care for it now. Anyone know what that possibly can be? Internet says clean the MAF and replace the TPS which I did, will it take time to adjust and maybe fix or will it be something greater? Same kind of results. The guy that did the tune up told me to put TRANS X or an additive into the transmission fluid dipstick and it’ll maybe fix that. I don’t want to stress out too much about it. Also truck now has a mild to hard vibration after the tune up when I have it in reverse or when I’m at a stop light truck has a little shake now before the tune up it didn’t AT ALL. Internet is saying maybe the guy put or did something wrong while the tune up. After the oil change and tune up I drove it straight home so didn’t get to drive a longer distance with it.

Worth it? Can afford for a project

Will possibly see this later. Buddy of mine told me it could be a small thing that’ll end up being fine. Guy says it runs fine after the first hard shift. Maybe will talk him down to 1100-1200 and have someone tune it up for me and get a good look and have it as extra. Guy says he has the parts for a tune up to get done.

I haven’t had Facebook since 2021. I want to get it to strictly use marketplace, one time I tried to make a Facebook account and a buddy of mine quickly messaged me and said that I got on Facebook again? And somehow I came up? How does that happen? Do I just make an account with another email to prevent this from happening? Or use a nick name for my Facebook? Any feedback will help. Thank you guys lots.

Found a 2001 Jetta Gti on offer up. Guy wants $1000 for it. Trying to sell it as he says he’s moving and doesn’t have time to fix it anymore. Says he only thinks it’s a mass air flow sensor. This is what he had told me about it. Maybe will talk him down to $700 and maybe I can look into fixing it.

“I bought 2 years ago it drove decent I put new tires breaks oil return line fresh coolant flush was running pretty hot then had some personal stuff happen and car ended up sitting for about 4 months when I went to start it it had a rough idle won’t stay running without feathering the gas pedal.

I’m moving and just don’t have the time to mess around with it anymore.. I was thinking the mass air flow sensor could be the issue but not sure.

*will need to be trailered*”

Found this on offer up. Guy wants 1,000 told me that he’s done some fixing on it already. Only thing is that he’s moving and doesn’t have time to fix anymore and I may go look at it tomorrow. Says he thinks it’s the mass air flow sensor. Car shuts off when you stop pressing the gas. Gonna maybe talk him down to $760 because there may be other issues and still have to pay to tow it across town to my house and I’ll look into fixing it. Possible scam? I heard stories about offer up this is what the message he told me about it currently…..
