I have mild anxiety and corporate burnout and do nothing all day but at least I got money.

I’m 38 and have About 1.2mil, saved up from 15 years of work in a high stress industry, have developed an alcohol addiction, and now places with too many people stress me out so I just laze at home, gym, figure out what to eat and think where I’m going to go next.

Any late 30s people just have zero motivation to work? What’s the most slack job to do to earn money

38 this year. Used to be self employed. But now have not worked in about 3 years.

Took a long trip to the US for 2 months to recharge, hopefully find some motivation but ended up spending lots of money on rent with no spark found.

Have mild anxiety issues and just general burnout from years of high stress and alcohol addiction

… does anyone know any job that can earn maybe 3-4k but just lie flat. No need for career prospects, I’m even lazy to do resume.

Was management expecting this hence the dilution?

Just occurred to me that they might have had inside news that a raid was going to take place before hand? Hence the dilution when the stock was recovering, even doing well. Timing is just too coincidental.

Does El Salvador see little East Asians as tourists?

I’m from Singapore and I recently spent a week in El Salvador on a holiday. Felt the country was really interesting as someone first time in Central America.

When I was at immigration; the immigration took my passport and flipped it around then asked “are you really from Singapore” at first I thought it was a further check but turns out he’s never seen anyone from there and was just curious

Got me wondering, does El Salvador see very little Chinese/East Asian tourists?

Is there a way to short Thai listed companies?

Hi all, was just wondering if there is anyway to short Thai stocks? From what my broker tells me we can’t short the companies on the SET, and there are no long term put options available to bet against the Thai economy.

Is there anyway to bet on the Thai economy going down in the next few years? Either through direct shorting or through derivatives?

Or are you just limited to shorting the baht?

Edit : I found it, you can short the global
Thai ETF called : THD on the NYSE

Moving to Bangkok. Don’t come if you don’t have at least 150,000 baht prepared.

Hi all; just wanted to share my experience moving here on a DTV visa.

I won’t go into the application process for DTV, follow the list of documents they ask, it’s straightforward. If you are asking for a workaround this you’re probably not ready to move.

Anyway this is how it went for me, granted there might be cheaper ways but this is how I did it

Initial 7 days - prepare 15,000 -20,000 baht for your first week, I stayed in a hotel in the central part of Bangkok (Rama 9/Asoke) so the bulk of this went to my hotel and food while looking for an apartment.

You can stay at a cheaper place, but you’ll be spending the extra cash on grab while viewing apartments so best get something central.

I shortlisted a bunch of condos, note you can just contact 1 agent and they’ll contact all the condos on your list. I found mine from ddproperty but there are other sites like fazwaz

I only had 7 days to find a condo + sign the lease so I shortlisted all I wanted to see before coming, granted I’ve been to Thailand abit and knew beforehand where I wanted to stay. If you don’t know, you’ll probably need to spend more time in the hotel.

Condo rental - you need to pay 1 month booking fee and 2 months rent. Mine cost me 30,000 baht a month so 90,000 up front it’s a 1 BR at the ari neighbourhood.

Home appliances and household items cost me an additional 18,000 baht. I had to get a rice cooker and oven as I cook, bedsheets, pillows, plates, forks etc etc. Most condos come with a fridge and a microwave that’s it, and I got it at Central (couldn’t wait 7 days in an empty house getting it online)

Wifi + phone and miscellanous costs about 10,000 (paid for 1 year in advance)

Gym 1 year + 3 months free - 10,000 also paid in advance

Lifestyle creep. Budget an additional 20,000 for the first 2 months of being here as you’ll go out, explore and meet new people which means spending more.

In total you’ll need to have about 170,000 baht MINIMUM to start the move (excluding your plane tickets) which is about 5,000 USD.

Granted it’s abit chubby spending and you can do it cheaper but I would say the bare minimum would be 150,000.

Hope this helps if anyone is wondering how much money you’ll need.

*edit* I seem to be getting a lot of comments on how I overpaid, I didn’t want to put the exact area so I gave a general location but it’s at Ari in a new condo 2mins walk to BTS which should clear things up about the rent.

How can they pay 7% dividends with such low margins?

7% on 3.68B? Surely their credit facility has less interest than that. If they really wanted to save money they could use their revolving credit lines..

Instead they take on an additional 7% dividend obligation till 2029.. good luck to margins…

I'm not buying it.

I've been a SMCI bull for a long time; and I sold yesterday (unrelated to this dilution, just trying to rebuy cheaper and timed it fortunately)

SMCI has ALWAYS been a company that plays with words and statements, do you mean to say that 20 clients, gave us 40b of revenue, an entire YEAR of revenue, just weeks after the earnings call? with no mention of this, no revised guidance etc?

It just seems to be that they got this idea from the analyst on the call that asked this same question about dilution.

Am I stable enough to buy a lambo?

Not actively working, 38M, single, no kids, no gf, stay 3 room HDB, $600 monthly installment.

About 1.6m cash in stocks, and maybe about 40k cash and 1m in inheritance (going through probate and all that now)

Intend to full cash the lambo (about 550k, huracan) by selling some stocks. Drive for 1-2 years then sell it. budgeted another 50-60k for the car while I own it. So probably 600k all in.

Expenses not much, maybe 2-3k a month with about 4-5k in recurring passive income ( I used to own a subscription startup before I sold it but I still get a portion of revenue for the next few years)

Been toying on this for awhile. I know it’s not prudent.. but it’s been a dream. Tell me why I should/should not do this Reddit

Hypothetically if a fight happened in a parking lot…

Asking for a friend, hypothetically if there was a dispute at a bar. And said friend scuffled abit there, just pushing, but was leaving already, in the car and about to drive off. Other party opened the door and a fight ensued.

The other party got bloodied up pretty bad after that. Both parties left before cops arrived.

Now my friend is worried that the losing party will make a report. How likely action going to be taken?

How much trouble will this guy get into if I share his court records to his work?

The person promised a green card and love bombed. Got her to buy him an expensive 1k LV wallet, (promised to pay which he didn’t) and a bunch of other stuff.

Fortunately we have reconciled and the affair has ended. Now I have the guys details and did a search on him. He’s got caught 2 times for solicitation(dismissed) and a guilty DUI.

The guilty texts unfortunately have been deleted so these are the only information I have, I intend to send this to his employer and demand the wallet back or its monetary equivalent. Will this get him into trouble or they probably already know about his background?

I intend to send a strongly worded email to upper management with the little texts I have, his record and allegations that he hasn’t paid for his wallet that he asked her to buy.. Will that get him hopefully fired or it’s a nothing?

It’s going to fuel both even higher. AI isn’t going anywhere and the data center plays are far from over. Congrats everyone who hung in there

I can only imagine the next earnings are going to be even better with global supply ramping up
