As someone who doesn't have Twitter, I am now OFFICIALLY on the "Peggy is a massive cornball" train

I didn't know about the beef he had with Earl or any of his other comments, but these lyrics made me laugh out loud.

Anyway, this is the worst album I've heard in a WHILE. Probably not actually that bad compared to other music, but I don't actively seek out bad music, and this was the most let down I've been with an album on release, like, EVER. 3 good songs out of 25 (babygirl, ¥ and New Era, and even then those songs aren't like GREAT). Insanity. Theres so much going on and yet so little, my brain is just numb from the whole album.

Honestly, don't even waste your time listening to it cuz its not even FUNNY bad (other than this song and Lights ig). Go listen to something else, PLEASE

LIKE, for instance....JPEGMAFIA's very own Dreamcast Summer Songs, released under his actual name, Devon Hendryx! Bit of a change from his other music as he doesn't actually rap on it, mostly just sample work in the vein of Since I Left You or I'll Try Living Like This, but a VERY good listen, and my 2nd favorite thing he's ever made (the OG LP! is still better in my eyes, just a lil bit)

Alright byeeeee

One of the first times I'm listening to an album ON release

I'll put my review down in the comments when I finish it

What are we listening to, musical teenagers?

(This whole album is really good, heard it for the first time the other day, but this has stoodout as being a favorite of mine. I just love how the piano sample sounds.)

Blind ranking posts are taking over! (IMPORTANT: Please read)

Hey guys :P

You remember when This or That was like all you could see when you went into the subreddit? Same thing is happening again with the blind rankings, and actual posts that are trying to start discussions are getting lost in the sea of blind rankings.

No, I'm not disabling it, at least not yet. All I'm asking is that if you open the sub and you scroll down 4-5 posts and see a blind ranking, maybe don't make another one so soon. I trust you guys, thank you

As for any mod post, a music recommendation for you all. I just listened to an album called Woob 1194. It's got three penguins on the cover and it's a cool as hell listen. It's described as "tribal ambient", and it's pretty unique from anything I've heard in the genre. It is a bit of a longer listen (abt 75 minutes iirc) but it's totally worth it. It's not on streaming but it's on YouTube and probably other places

Alright byeeeee message me if you need me but I'll probably be asleep cuz ive been awake for 17 hours lol

Rearranged my vinyl wall ^_^

Finally own enough albums so that I can have one per artist but also only albums I find 10/10. Also for funsies I separated them into a rock row on the top and an electronic row on the bottom

J Dilla has his own spot above my bed because he the only deceased musician on my wall. Rest in peace

Apps are back (some changes)

The apps are officially integrated again.

CHANGES

  1. If I see 500 This or That polls with zero discussion going on I'm not gonna allow those kind of posts anymore. Please don't overflow. I hope I can trust you guys on this cuz I can't be here all the time. Honestly same for alignment charts but those at least spark a lil more discussion
  2. No more alignment charts that are artist specific. We're not doing anymore "Which Beatles song is from THIS album but sounds like its from THIS album". If you wanna do that, those specific bands have subreddits you can do that in. Genre ones are fine (like Whats the best Iron Maiden song and right next to it in the alignment chart is a Judas Priest row and a Metallica row, etc.) but the artist specific ones really limit people who don't know those artists, and we wanna be a welcoming community
  3. If your alignment chart is lookin' really similar to one that's already going on or one that just finished up, it's getting removed.

Thanks yall. Any time I make a mod post I'm ending it out with an album recommendation for you guys. Check out Tango N'Vectif, debut of electronic artist u-Ziq. If you like Aphex Twin or BOC I think u-Ziq is the next evolution of that kind of music

Alright byeee

Yo guys here's my genre tier list

I wish I was an allknowing genre god but alas I am not. If you have any album recs from the orange and ESPECIALLY album recs from the bottom group of albums I would highly appreciate it

Can we please chill out with the "This or that" posts? The past two days and that's all I've seen from this sub

The second alignment charts get axed we've immediately switched over to something else. Surely we can find more creative and engaging ways to talk about music, right?

Just finished Black Sabbath's Master Of Reality, that was pretty good. Also just relistened to IGOR and it grew significantly off me. Let's discuss our opinions on that or something. Literally anything but mindless clicking engagement bait, PLEASE

Btw I officually only have 1 year and 2 days left of being a music teenager because after that I turn 20 and am no longer a teenager and idk where to go 😔

Was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this. I was originally only listening to it so I could listen to Akuma No Uta by Boris directly afterward because it would look funny on my Topster (iykyk) but holy damn are some of these songs phenomenal, especially both Hazey Janes. One of my favorite listens of the year so far, which is saying something. If you like Pink Moon and want to hear Nick Drake with even more instrumentation, this album is for you!

Listening to this album for the first time. Figured I'd listen to the earlier version first and then I'll get to the 2018 version tomorrow.
