Seeing vedanta alot... Need views on Vedanta sectors... Which one to go for.
Hello everyone.... I'm a beginner so guide me thru this.
Seeing a lot of posts about Vedanta and its demerger.
I’m curious about the Oil & Gas, Power, and Iron & Steel businesses... do these sectors have good upside going forward?
Thinking of investing, but I don’t have enough data to judge growth potential, risks, or valuation.
Would like to hear your views which sector looks strongest and why?
[serious] Bought 53 stocks of Enviro infra engineers by mistake... Tell me what to do tomorrow... 🙇
Tell me should I sell all of it tomorrow or save some for long term...
What is this used for?
Saw this on paytm... Called as paytm gold. What's the significance and how to use it?
Is this used to convert to money again? Can convert it due to the limit.... Untill I reach 1500 coin balance.

Complete beginner looking to start investing in India and globally-- need guidance on apps, portfolio building, SIPs, stocks, and research
Namaste sabko...
I'm a complete beginner and planning to start investing seriously for long-term wealth creation. I've been reading about SIPs, mutual funds, stocks, ETFs, and portfolio building, but there is so much information online that it's hard to know where to start.
I'd really appreciate guidance from experienced investors.
About me:
- Complete beginner
- Long-term investment horizon (10+ years)
- Looking to build wealth, not trade daily
- Interested in both Indian and international investing
- Want to learn how to research investments properly instead of blindly following tips
My questions:
- Which app/platform should I start with and why?
- Groww
- Zerodha
- Angel One
- Upstox
- Any others?
What are the pros and cons of each for a beginner?
- Can Indians invest in foreign companies?
Can I directly invest in companies like:
- Tesla
- Lockheed Martin
- Nvidia
- Microsoft
- Amazon
- Other US or international companies
If yes:
- What's the best way to do it?
- Which platform is best?
- Are there any tax or regulatory considerations I should know about?
- Where should a beginner start?
- SIPs
- Mutual Funds
- Index Funds
- ETFs
- Individual Stocks
What would you recommend and why?
- Portfolio Building
I'm trying to understand portfolio construction.
- What exactly is a portfolio?
- How do you build one?
- How many stocks or mutual funds should a beginner own?
- How do you decide allocations?
For example, how would you divide investments between:
- Indian Index Funds
- Mutual Funds
- Direct Stocks
- International Investments
- Gold
- Debt/Fixed Income
- Beginner Portfolio Examples
If someone is investing:
- ₹5,000/month
- ₹10,000/month
- ₹20,000/month
How would you allocate the money?
- Researching Stocks and Funds
How do you personally research before investing?
What metrics do you check?
For stocks:
- Revenue growth?
- Profit growth?
- ROE?
- ROCE?
- Debt?
- Valuation?
For mutual funds:
- Expense ratio?
- AUM?
- Fund manager?
- Historical performance?
Which websites/tools do you use?
- Common Mistakes
What are the biggest mistakes beginners make?
What do you wish you knew when you first started investing?
- Learning Resources
What are the best:
- Books
- Websites
- Courses
- YouTube channels
- Newsletters
for someone starting from zero?
- If you were starting again today...
If you were a complete beginner with no investments and had to start from scratch today, what would your first 6-12 months of investing look like?
Chota bhai samjh ke, please give me some guidance...

Is this movie also about escaping the matrix.... Plzz share your views...
Recently watched this movie and felt like it's much more than the story... characters.
Who is the storyteller? Destiny or God or ME
Who's TARA? who's BOSS? who's FATHER? who's that KINNAR(Transgender)?
What's the GIST that you get from this movie?
Would love to see your views as perspective... Please share!!!
I know it's not Abt they end up together or not... So what's this about?
I just watched The Lunchbox starring Irrfan Khan, and I can’t stop thinking about it.
What stayed with me wasn’t the ending or whether Saajan and Ila finally meet or end up together. Somehow, that feels secondary. The movie feels like it’s trying to say something much deeper, but I can’t fully put it into words.
I’d really love to know how others interpreted the film.
What do you think The Lunchbox was truly about for you?
Hey everyone,
I'm facing a weird issue with YouTube on my college WiFi......
- YouTube itself opens fine in both normal and private/incognito windows
- But in private window, videos just keep refreshing/loading and never actually start playing
- In normal window, everything works perfectly
I mainly use private mode so that my search/watch history isn’t saved, so this is pretty annoying.
I tried inspecting the page, and I’m seeing a bunch of failed/blocked requests (like videoplayback fetch errors), which makes me think something is being blocked at the network level.
What I suspect:
- Maybe college WiFi is blocking some requests differently in incognito?
- Or cookies/session-related stuff isn’t being handled the same?
Things I’ve tried:
- Different browsers ----same issue
- Disabling extensions-----no change
- Reloading multiple times ---- still stuck
Has anyone faced something like this on restricted networks (college/office WiFi)?
Any workaround to make YouTube work in private mode?
