Do you think Andy Jassy cares more about Israeli Jewish people than he does about the people that work for him?

It is very obviously true that Andy Jassy has played a role in helping Israel out in the recent conflict whether it is through philanthropic efforts to the IDF, speaking at fundraisers for violent settlers and also marching out in the streets with the giant Israel flag to bring back the hostages back home. This begs the question outside of Amazon, if Andy Jassy is more loyal to the Israeli people than he is to the wellbeing of Amazons employees?

Given the length of the war in Afghanistan, why is the Afghan refugee population smaller than other refugee population groups?

There is a long history of refugees coming to the U.S in large numbers like those from Eastern and Southern Europe in early 20th century to those from Vietnam, Cambodia, Somalia, Sudan, Bosnia, Albania and parts of Latin America but relative to those refugee population, the Afghan refugee is relatively smaller compared to those refugee populations. I live in a state that has a very open policy in refugee resettlement and has a lot of programs for refugees but most of those programs tend to be for those coming mainly from Latin America, Central and East Africa.

Not many Afghans coming here relative to them and given how long the war in Afghanistan has been going on and the U.S withdrawal a few years back. Meanwhile, there was a massive wave of Vietnamese refugees and now they are three to four generations in now and have assimilated and intermarried into the greater society.

So that leaves me wondering, why has there not been a massive wave of Afghan refugees like there has been for other refugees groups in the past?

How do you find someone for a life partner living in the West especially in the U.S?

Relative to other refugee populations at least here in the U.S, the Afghan diaspora community is relatively small compared to the Vietnamese, Cuban, Somali and other refugee populations. Genuinely wondering how does somebody who is an Afghan American find a Spouse? Compared to other Muslim groups, there are fewer Afghans to choose from so do Afghan Americans stick to marrying someone who is Afghan or do they intermarry with other Muslims or Non-Muslims?

I have come across a few Afghans who have intermarried with Non-Muslims because they could not find an Afghan women in the states. Genuinely wondering if this is the inevitable future of the Afghan diaspora in the U.S where they will eventually end up intermarrying with others instead of marrying strictly with Afghans given the smaller population.

What is the biggest difference between Indian South Africans and the more recent migrants from India and Pakistan?

I am well aware of recent migrants coming from India and Pakistan to South Africa in massive droves.

Meanwhile, I am aware that there is a long history of Indians in South Africa who have a history there spanning back centuries. I myself have distant relatives who have lived there almost a century ago.

I am kind of wondering what is the relationship like between the established Indian South Africans and the more recent migrants from India and Pakistan? Do they get along and live with each other? Is there any intermarriage between the Indian South Africans and the more recent migrants? Do they mingle with each other very much or do the established Indians segregate themselves from the recent migrants?

Genuinely wondering about the relationship between the two and I am asking this in good faith given how there are a lot of recent migrants coming to South Africa given that South Africa is seen as a Western country that has a history of immigration and their cultural contributions.

How common is it for an Israeli to marry a Non-Jewish White European Westerner? Why are so many Non-Jewish White European Christian Western men love Israeli women so much?

I often hear a lot about how a lot of Non-Jewish Western men have a thing for Israeli Jewish women and tend to fetishized and hypersexualize them. Wondering how common is it for an Israeli to marry a Non-Jewish White European Westerner? Do you know of any such couples?

I often hear a lot growing up in my area where a lot of White European Christian men who had a fetish for Jewish/Israeli women and always wanted to be with a Jewish/Israeli women. I am talking about famous guys like Quentin Tarantino here.

Do you think Muslim guys in the West prefer Hijabis or Non Hijabis more?

Do you think that Muslim guys in the West prefer Hijabis or Non Hijabis more especially if they grew up in a society where it is not common to see Hijabis around and/or if their families didn’t wear it growing up? What do they generally prefer? It is a common trope I have heard that Muslim guys like to play around with Non Hijabis and once they want to settle down, they want someone who is a hijabi!

To those Muslims who live in the Western Countries and Latin America, do you think it will be inevitable that Muslims will be Christianized with assimilation and intermarriage?

This is not purely anecdotal and there is historical evidence of this. A lot of immigrants who did immigrate to Western countries did over time assimilate and integrate into the dominant society. This has been true with the Muslim communities in the West as well especially in the United States. I have come across many Muslims who were born and/or raised in the United States later on become Christianized in order to assimilate and integrate and to improve their social standing and career prospects in fields like government. Unless you Christianized yourself, it is next to impossible to have a career in higher office in the United States.

Even for those who did not pursue a career in politics, there are many I know and even people in my family who ended up marrying Non-Muslims and Christianized and assimilated and abandoned being Muslim and Islam and raised their families and kids as Christian. Do you inevitably see this as the future of Muslims in the West and particularly the United States?

When it is said that Israel is a Jewish state, is Israel a Jewish state in the way that countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan are considered to be Islamic States? Or is Israel more like a Western country that has Jewish symbols and icons that makes it feel Jewish?

When you say Israel is a Jewish state, is it a Jewish state in the sense like Iran, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan are considered to be Islamic states where religion is more imposed or is Israel more like a Western country that has Jewish symbols and iconography that makes it feel superficially Jewish but functions more like a Western country?

Do you find it easier to date and be with women around your age or younger than it is to be with an older women like more than 10 plus years older?

This is a conversation as old as time but given how many guys tend to prefer to be with women around their age or older, I have had it much easier to go on dates with women around my age or younger than it has been for me to date older women. I have never dated a women older than me and they have always been dismissive of me while women ten years younger than me have been much more open minded and serious about their intentions and also more mature than women who are older who have been married/divorced or have had kids. Do you find it easier to date younger women than women much older than you?

At this point as somebody pushing into my 40’s, I have had a much easier time and enjoyed my time more with those who are much younger than those who are few years or a decade or more older. Same goes with the apps when I was on them. I got far more matches with younger ones than ones a few years or a decade older than me.

Did Islam come to Africa before it came to places like Persia, Anatolia and India where paganism/polytheism was more rampant?

Did Islam took root in Africa before it actually took root in places like Persia, Anatolia and India where paganism/polytheism was more rampant and had a much more stronger root in those regions where practices like leaving dead people out in the open and widowed wives would burn themselves in fire while Islam was taking foothold in Africa?

Islam came to Southeast Asia quite a bit later after getting a foothold in India and Persia. Due to the historically close relationship in geography and commerce with Abyssinia and Egypt, it would make sense for Islam to spread to Africa first before taking root in Persia and India and Anatolia and elsewhere.

Do you think it is okay to use the word Mohammedans instead of Moselms whether it is in literature, academia or social settings?

Wondering what does the community as a whole think about the word Mohammedans instead of Moslems? The word has been used a lot historically in literature, academia, social interactions and in media but what about using it in modern times? Is it appropriate or is it seen as being derogatory slur?

Are there any locals planning to go to the World Cup games? Anyone from the local Australian, Egyptian, Bosnian or Iranian or Belgian community planning to go to the games?

Any locals here planning to go to the World Cup games? I don’t hear a lot of locals talking about the World Cup all that much and it doesn’t seem like there is a lot of excitement with the local residents apart from the government officials and their speeches and photo ops. There’s far more local enthusiasm with the Mariners and the Seahawks opener games than there is with the world cup.

Also wondering if anyone from the local Australian, Egyptian, Bosnian or Iranian or Belgian community feels about the World Cup being hosted here and if they are planning to go?

The most underrated lunch destination in town has to be Chef City Grill at LWTech. The best lunch deals anywhere and the best tasting food for the money!

I am surprised that nobody talks about Chef City Grill at LWTech for lunch options if anyone is looking for somewhere cheap to eat that is of good quality and not some run of the mill chain restaurant that have been popping up around Totem Lake. You can swing by LwTech and go downstairs to the Restaurant which is behind the security office and they are open from 10am to 1:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Sure their hours are limited but they make it up for the value you get. $10 for a full entree with generous portions. There is a canteen around the corner if you want drinks which there is a large variety to choose from. You can’t get anything these days for around $10 for lunch.

You don’t have to be a student there and you don’t have to pay for parking. You can go there during your lunch break and the food is literally ready for you within 5 minutes of placing your order. If you want to support younger people getting into the culinary field and not go to another chain restaurant for lunch, Chef City Grill is the best place in town and the best bang for your buck lunch place.

With the World Cup coming up, I would imagine there must be a big need for staffing everywhere but how do you find work you can do for event staffing or anything?

Been wondering about how can you find some part time or even full time or temp for anything like event staffing, bag check, security, transportation etc. There has to be a big need for staffing with such a big event coming up I would imagine there has to be a big need for hiring temporary staff to run things during the World Cup but I am having a hard time finding anything anywhere. Scouring through staffing agencies, I can‘t seem to find anything anywhere!
