Just a totally normal living room at night...

In Plura Ingenia: Patient 16 nothing is weird or out of the ordinary.
Just a normal game with nothing scary at all hiding in the corners... I would never.

I just finished the game

It was awesome but I'm sad now... It's been a while since I had this feeling.

The feeling of not wanting to play anything else since this game was so good.

It was also very sad, I cried a lot.

I have this feeling of emptiness, I know it will go away but damn this game was crazy fun.

The DLC'S might not be what you think

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the DLCs for Revelation right now. I'm not saying they should have put everything into the main game, but that's not the main point of this post.

What I want to say is that the DLCs might not be what people think they are.

Some people think they'll be Advent Children content. Others think they'll be Durge or something similar. But they could just as easily be things like weapon skins, armor sets, or even additional summons.

"DLC" doesn't automatically mean story expansions, it simply means downloadable content.

They've already added summons and items as pre-order bonuses before, so I wouldn't be surprised if Revelation does something similar through DLC.

If you saw these screenshot on a Steam page, would it make you want to learn more about the game?

Which Steam screenshot would catch your attention more:

A) A room with multiple creatures

B) A strange environmental mystery

I'm trying to decide what to put first on my Steam page and in what order.

Is the screenshot order okay as it is, or would you rearrange them?

Horror game meets Stanley Parable and Psychological Testing

Demo playthrough: https://youtube.com/watch?v=qkNfUPaPVOU&si=bf11eWSZz8QFFFts

Some players said to me that my game feels like a Stanley Parable but Horror and that's really awesome to hear.

I think it comes from the game having different paths, a narrator that is observing and testing you.

Trying to improve the atmosphere in my horror game

The goal is to create an atmosphere that's both mysterious and uncomfortable. Through lighting and environmental design, I want players to constantly feel like they're being watched, even when they're completely alone.

Lighting, mood and materials have been reworked to fit this vibe.

Does it give you that "something feels off" vibe?

Vincent other ''Beasts'' in Revelation

Not sure if it has been mentioned elsewhere, but I think the other Vincent beasts transformations will be tied to the Jobs we choose for him rather than the Limit Breaks, since you can transform into a beast at the touch of a button.

4 beasts 4 jobs

what do you think?

I always share my horror game here

I don't know where else I can share it since most places either block or remove my posts, lol.

Reddit is the only place where I've been able to get wishlists consistently. Unfortunately, TikTok, X, and other platforms haven't worked very well for me.

Do you guys have any tips or tricks? Where else have you found success with visibility your game?

Are people still interested in anomaly games?

I'm wondering if I should make an anomaly game, so I'm curious whether people are still interested in the genre.

If so, what would you like to see in your next anomaly game?

What do you like or dislike about the genre?

Are there any mechanics that bother you or that you'd like to see improved?

Do you like this kind of visual?

I'm working on what a lot of people are calling a weird game : )
But I was always fan of games such as Silent Hill, Layers of Fears or even Stanley Parabole.

In Patient 16 I want people to challenge themselves and their beliefs.

Hopefully you will like it 🤞

Hard to cope with uncertainty (8 months in)

Hey there, I just need to get my thoughts out there for maybe a brief moment of relief.

I’m 8 months into developing my first game solo full time, and there’s not a lot of time left before I either need to stop or find funding.

The uncertainty is getting harder to cope with every day. I’m not 100% sure my game will be finished by the deadline I set for myself, and if the game fails, I honestly don’t know if I’ll be able to find work afterward with how rough the gaming industry is right now.

I’m also not sure if it would be better to release in Early Access and see what comes from it.

Being 8 months in with 1,500 wishlists makes me nervous, even though I still haven’t had the chance to be part of a Steam Fest yet.

For those who’ve been in the same situation, how do you handle that kind of stress?

I’m not really asking for reassurance or answers, I mostly just need to get it off my chest :)
I’d actually encourage you to do the same here if you want.
